Hello, Byajimenez! Thank you for flying with us and for sharing your experience. We appreciate your kind words about our crew. We acknowledge your feedback regarding legroom, in-flight entertainment options, and the food offering, and we'll certainly take it into consideration for future improvements. We hope to welcome you on board again soon, with enhancements to make your journey even more enjoyable! ✈
Thank you for your response, PAL. It’s great to hear that you value feedback and constructive criticism to improve overall passenger experience. Looking forward to my next PAL flight later this year. 😊
My biggest disappointment with PAL is that you don't have any flights to Europe particularly in the Schengen Area which I travel most especially in the Nordic countries still need to fly to Hong Kong for a connecting flight via Scandinavian Airlines or Finnair to get to my destinations in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm and onwards to Oslo, Norway. It's a great disservice to Filipinos who are left out in Europe as at present there are no direct flights between the Philippines and Europe since European Airlines have ceased flying to our country due largely to unfavorable conditions such as too much favoritism on your part.
@@dennis12dec dude get a Singapore Airlines flight. You don't need a PAL flight to go there, because 1. it'd be more expensive because they're not that established unlike SIA is, and 2. like WHY? There are hundreds of airlines--Finnair and SAS are good as much. You can always try with Emirates, then KLM to Norway. Don't get PAL in trouble now, if they fly to Europe they'll get ranked so bad, even Ryanair will be on top of them.
I definitely agree we should invite European Airlines that used to fly to Manila in the past to return the impediments on our part are already abolished such as the discriminatory taxes on foreign carriers. Recently read that the German flag carrier Lufthansa is making a return to the Philippines soon and will launch a direct non stop flights to Manila from either Frankfurt or Munich hopefully other European carriers will follow suit.
Great review! Flew PAL flight PR-511 last september to singapore. I Honestly should've picked the left side of the plane to get a better view since this is a early morning flight. By the way, how was the immigration experience now as a solo traveller? I have a flight coming soon with SQ and that anxiety attack is looming when it comes to IO lol.
We will be riding this flight PR511 next month. I noticed that ang aga ng dating niyo sa SG? take off was 5:44AM and you arrived SG at 9:06AM..40mins early?
Indeed, was very surprised as well haha. Here are the flight stats from flightradar.com: Actual Departure: 5:44AM, Landed: 8:49AM, Flight time: 3hr5mins.
Kamusta po yung flight to Singapore? Is it smooth po ba or merong turbulence? Mag visit kasi yung fam to Singapore on September so curious on the weather doon and the flight experience. Thanks po!
Very minimal to none lang yung turbulence but magagaling pilots ng PAL so don’t worry 😊 Weather in Singapore is usually very hot and humid so pack light clothes lang. Safe skies! ✈️
I almost always choose Singapore Airlines because their A350s and B787s offer IFEs, and when buying tickets in advance, I noticed that SQ and PAL tend to not have that big of a price gap, so adding S$50 for the IFE on the round trip sounds like a better investment.
It's even much bigger difference when booked in advance from Eastern United States to Manila SQ21/918 EWR🇺🇲-MNL🇵🇭 via SIN🇸🇬 or JFK🇺🇲-MNL🇵🇭 via SIN🇸🇬 SQ23/25 SQ910 combined $1100 vs PR127 JFK-MNL $1800 provided you do an advance booking
You are correct on that but if you are trying to run United States to Manila you would find out that the five star Airlines of East Asia that compete with Philippine Airlines will offered a cheaper fare $1277 SQ Newark to Manila via Singapore vs $1800 Philippine Airlines JFK to Manila. Los Angeles to Manila same effect Singapore Airlines lower fare than PR103/113.
Nice trip report. The lounge dod not look very nice at all with very limited food choices, not inviting at all. For the money I would fly SIA over PAL every time. PAL is not a very good airline at all.
Looking forward to visiting the newly built PAL Mabuhay Lounge in my next trip. My Singapore Airlines trip report is coming out real soon. Thanks for watching, Paul! ✈️
Flying International but treated like Domestic and yet overpriced ang ticket. Hehehe! I'd rather fly with Singapore Air. Konti na lang naman ang difference. Minsan, mas mahal pa ang PAL.
I agree! 😅 There are plans to upgrade the cabins and install IFE screens tho. I’m planning to fly with Singapore Airlines this year so I could make a proper comparison with PAL. Thanks for watching!
I really don’t like aircraft has no entertainment on Bord specially international flight…..make me sick 🤢 paying so much money with it. #philippineairline
Still prefer Singapore Airlines when flying to Singapore also connecting flight to Europe as PAL and CEB are both disappointingly don't have flights to Europe, hopefully European Airlines that used to fly to the Philippines in the past could make a comeback.
Saw an article recently saying Lufthansa is considering resuming its non-stop flights to Manila. Hopefully, it materializes soon. I might fly SQ later this year so I can make a proper comparison with PAL. Thank you for watching! 😊
@@Biyajimenez Finnair is also considering opening a non stop flight to Manila from Helsinki that's good as I travel mostly in the Nordic countries presently I still have to fly to Hong Kong or Singapore to catch my flight via Scandinavian Airlines or Finnair to get to my destinations in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki. Going to and from Europe and the Philippines is utterly frustrating, PAL is so utterly stubborn how can you invite European businesses and tourists to come to the Philippines when there are no direct flights to and from Europe, too much favoritism on the part of PAL and CEB for sure.
@@Biyajimenez One of the reasons why European Airlines pulled out their flights to and from the Philippines is that during the time of then President Gloria Arroyo there was intense lobbying and influence peddling by the local business elites in the guise of our National interest but in reality only to protect their vested interests.
@@Biyajimenez If the German flag carrier Lufthansa is going to return their direct flights to Manila then a great "Herzliche Willkommen Zurück zu Philippinen" to them again as I speak German. I used to fly with Lufthansa on my past travels to Europe even Air France if they give it a go I could now get to Frankfurt without changing flights and invite my German friends to visit the Philippines.

The government should open up the airline industry to foreign airlines. These local airlines need serious competition.
