I hear you about the cold, Mr. Ian. I'm in Montana and it gets around 0F or below (-17C) routinely in winter. I usually have to sketch in my car or my water freezes.

I love how Ian manages to identify - generate and exaggerate the essential character of a subjects essence. Humour and mood constantly appear throughout Ian's wonderfully comic characterisations along with a joyous whimsical style !

I thought urban sketching is supposed to be all hoch-poch and was happy that I am almost there. I should stop watching this video before my motivation and confidence goes to gutter!
Oh no! Fennelly is very good and has years of experience and practice. So don't compair yourself to him and don't be so hard on yourself. Keep doing, try, try, try and see him as a role model or inspiration. :)
