Hey, question for the pros: should I be having to stretch the mesh to reach the bracket assembly on the other side? Is it possible they sent me the mesh for the JK??
I like the look of the TrekTop but I wish you could go completely topless without having to disassemble it. I wish they would come out with the NX Glide for the JL
At 19:50 you make a mistake and then the next clip the metal bracket is the other way but you don’t own up to the mistake. Could of said something. Everything else was fine
Awesome looking soft top! Kinda was disappointed that there isn’t too many soft top brands right now for the JL but this definitely looks like something I could invest into for the summer months. Only question I have, is there a certain amount of torque that’s needed for any of the bolts?

It BARELY reaches across if I do it without the bar, but basically I bought it used and I’m struggling to get it to reach, maybe the guy put in the mesh to a JK or something. Do I need the mesh? Should I be struggling so hard to get it to reach or is there some slack when you get across and connect it with the M6 bolt and washer through the bar and the mesh?
Very helpful -- I'm planning to swap soft and hard tops with the season -- this is great for first time installation! Do you have anything on swapping this back out for hard top and then re-installing it?
Did u find anything on the swap out ? Looking to do it this season and put hard top on for winter. It was a PIA putting it on. Not sure if it would be any easier taking it off
This thing is awful. I have it for my 18 jlu and it still flaps at highway speeds with the new top and rear window/bar. This is a pure aerodynamic miscalculation on bestop's part.

Is it as low profile as a a hard top.
Yes! The top is even with the windshield just like the factory hard top.
If anyone's concerned with window wrinkles, you can crease them up pretty badly and after an hour in the sun they're back to normal.
Can anyone tell me what specific bolts are needed? I need all new bolts as when I purchased (used) it came with a random assortment of stuff.

Isn’t the JL’s factory soft top made by Bestop?
Bestop helped Jeep develop their new soft top for the JL, but I'm not sure if they are made by them. -Zach
Can you go to a car wash with this soft top with out getting damage ?
The glass will get scratched

The mopart soft top is way less complicated to install
It's a completely different style because of the fastback and no zippers.
