Just picked up Maison Alhambra’s Crafted Oud… which is said to be a dupe of this. Have not tried Carved Wood. It’s really good and performs on my skin a little better than TF Oud Wood. Price and presentation are fantastic.
I own Thameen Carved Oud for year and this is my the most compimented fragrance from whole my collection. Yes, I knew that it is clone of Oud Wood Tom Ford with better performance. That's why I bought it.

I'm super happy with my bottle. Blind bought it, no regrets whatsoever. Compared with TFOW, Carved Our was £45 cheaper. Superior performance and probably even real our in there 👌👍
Regent Leather is definitely worth a shout. I have no regrets with my purchase of that fragrance. However, I have to say Carved Oud definitely smells like Oud Wood and that’s why I didn’t purchase it.
I've worn OW for almost 15 years and I've never gotten tired of it and still look forward to wearing it. As much as I love it, performance is not great. I plan to sample carved oud and if I pull the trigger, I'll use your code Ash

reluctantly, i agree that Carved Oud is the clone that eclipses the Real McCoy. i have 3 others by Thameen and can highly recommend "The Hope" (with its Coca-Cola vibe which my partner says is the sexiest fragrance i own), "Riviere" (with an amazingly warm and enveloping note of carnation), and "Sparkling Opal" (a Harrods exclusive that's likely what would be if Amouage's "Epic Man" and "Epic Woman" procreated). thanks, Ashton!
Tom Ford and Creed, two of the better fragrances houses out there that I dont really wear as the longevity has not been there for me. I am glad I heard of Thameen Carved Oud as I love the scent of TF Oud Wood. Another awesome review.

Oud Wood is magic to my nose… Love it. I have Versace Oud Noir.. Which is similar, but not the same. I find it dryer and a pinch metallic.. Compared to Oud Wood. (Don’t let anyone tell you that Versace Oud Noir is sweeter / easier to wear then oud wood.. I believe they are only saying that bc it’s a Versace being compared to a Tom Ford.. Oud Wood is softer, sweeter, more powdery.. all day long.. anyway..) I’ve been looking for an our wood replacement.. It’s become too expensive for what you get nowadays.. I’ll have to check this out..
Phew pricey. I’ve just been getting into fragrances with your help - cheers😎 i’ve been getting testers and so far, rather than blind buying. Most of my favourites have been at the higher end in terms of $$$$. I guess its generally higher quality ingredients that drive this. So far the collection has grown to a massive 5 bottles! I can see how this becomes a bit of an obsession…..
Resist the urge to buy cheap fragrances just because they're cheap and available. A lot of people fall into that trap. Sounds like you're doing it the right way with a small curated collection of high quality fragrances. I've been collecting cologne for over 20 years and my brother just started. I gave him the advice of trying to sample for free at stores like Neimans, Nordstrom and Saks. You can also find discovery sets for reasonable prices on Mercari and eBay. As far as Oud Wood goes, if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it. It's a magical fragrance that I use regularly even though I have 100+ niche fragrances at my disposal.
@@petbull7038 Don't fully agree with this. If you said "don't buy cheap fragrances that you'll never use", then yeah agree 100%. But some cheap and easily available stuff are great, and your mindset could cause you to spend too much for no reason - some cheapies smell amazing and even better than expensive fragrances.

I tried a sample of this and ordered a full bottle the following week. Also sampled noorolain taif which people have been saying is like adding taif rose to creeds royal oud ( couldn't say as I've never smelled royal oud) but I did enjoy that one quite a bit as well.
Does your box/bottle say Extrait de Parfum or Eau de Parfum? I just received mine yesterday and it says Extrait on the bottle and box. Wondering if these are two different frags and concentrations
It seems they made a “new an improved” Oud Wood. I always said Oud Wood would be my number 1 signature scent except it’s performance was almost universally agreed horrible. For the price you pay it shouldn’t be a skin scent in 30 mins to 2 hours.

I just got Carved Oud 5 minutes ago. It’s definitely pretty close to Oud Wood. It is however a much deeper smell. I get a lot more darkness from it. It fills my nose more than oud wood. I do think it’s better. I’m going to sleep now, we’ll see if it’s still on my wrist when I wake up

This one is fantastic. Indeed an upgrade to Oud Wood which used to be my favorite fragrance. From this brand you should try Imperial Crown. Fantastic scent that makes you feel like royalty 🔥

Funny that the owner is Saudi Arabian who claim it is a British brand. Some of the notes that they use are from saudi such as Taif Rose! I think they should be proud to say it is a saudi brand established in the UK. Three perfumes that kept my mind busy besides the one in the video. 1-Amber room 2-blue heart 3-Noorlain Taif (smells like Royal oud from creed) I hope you consider these fragrances!
Carved Oud to me is sharper and longer lasting, it's an Extrait after all. It's missing this creaminess that TF Oud Wood has. Also, one of the things that I always loved about TF is a facet that I can only describe as luxurious, when I wear it there is something in the oud accord that seems elevated. As much of a dead giveaway of a clone Carved Oud is, I still prefer TF even in it's newest formulation. Due to it being less sharp, creamier, and just a better smell.
Carved oud is Oud wood reimagined and improved and I think they admitted it. If you don’t buy into Brands and their marketing then this is better for the consumers.

You mention that it is an Extrait which is confusing me. I received my bottle of Carved Oud yesterday and was expecting it to be Eau de Parfum. The box and bottle clearly say “Extrait de Parfum”. I’ve emailed Thameen to see if these are two separate concentrations of Carved Oud. Maxaroma’s website stated Carved Oud Eau de Parfum so that’s what I was expecting. Any help from you or anyone reading this would be appreciated. Thanks!
The entire line is solid but this and Patiala are the stand outs for me. This is an Oud Wood clone, for sure, but I get “gold label” Oud wood performance.
I received my bottle of carved oud today. Super happy with it, smells gorgeous, strong and projects moderately. I paid £130 for it (I'm in the UK). Tom ford needs to pull their finger out, the lacklustre reviews on fragrantica made me skip oud wood altogether and I jumped straight over to carved oud. TF needs to ramp up their performance, it says a lot when people immediately associate poor performance with the fragrance. It needs to last and project longer at this price point.

I’ve sampled several Thameen fragrances. I own four of them. Royal Sapphire is my favorite. Carved Oud is my second favorite. If you like Creed Royal Oud, check out Noorolain Taif.
Love this channel, was about to buy Oud Wood but grabbed this instead. Love TF Oud Wood but performance is seriously lacking. Love Black Orchid and others from TF, but need that performance.

Most people say oud wood is not a great preforming fragrance! But if you go a little heavier.. it last all day. Yeah if you go 3 sprays on the neck,. it dont last. I do dobble sprays on the neck same spots and spray my clothes a good 8 sprays. you wait 30-45min before you go out the house, so you dont be that guy. It settles down, and you can smell it all night and really off clothes the day after.

Carved Oud smells like a million bucks. Seriously. It's the only perfume I have a backup bottle of. I love Oud Wood, don't get me wrong, but the performance is just not there
I've tried every oud wood clone available and I've been sitting on a 3.4oz bottle of oud wood for a good 4+ years and its awsome but for the$ I've compared it to all and the closest from what I can tell is parfums vintage oriental woods its very very close and lasts longer on skin

Carved Oud is TOO EXPENSIVE for a clone with slight differences. I’ll stick to my cheap but high quality Tom Ford Oud Wood clone that’s made in USA. Like the OG it may be not a great performer but I don’t mind applying it 2x per day.
Carved oud is show stopping. No question there. Buuuuuuut it really isn’t even close to being the crowning Jewel in this brands line up. If you think this is incredible, just sample the rest of them. Patiala and Royal Sapphire are notable shoutouts.
@DensI would say it smells a lot like Tom ford oud wood but extremely strong. I got it before I had ever smelled TF oud wood so I didn’t know that the smell wasn’t for me.
Do not buy this buy zuarac from spirit of kings before you buy this it’s way better and less expensive trust me I’ve got a 2010 batch of oud wood and zaurac and they smell so close

The performance is the big problem…with many “niche” fragrances
They certainly cloned the ridiculous price tag.
In the UK it's £130 for 50ml Carved Oud. Oud Wood is £179. A £50 saving is pretty good if you ask me.

Carved Oud is definitely better than OW. Smoother, deeper, greater quality. It should be tried.

Al Haramain 50 years Platinum Oud is a really good substitute with great performance and an affordable price.

Yea the problem there is each spray is expensive. Which if you have to spray 8 times… the value isn’t there

I have a small bottle of TF Oud Wood and love it but being a bargain shopper I'm going with Alexandria Fragrances clone when I run out.
I've tried every oud wood clone available and I've been sitting on a 3.4oz bottle of oud wood for a good 4+ years and its awsome but for the$ I've compared it to all and the closest from what I can tell is parfums vintage oriental woods its very very close and lasts longer on skin

Carved Oud is TOO EXPENSIVE for a clone with slight differences. I’ll stick to my cheap but high quality Tom Ford Oud Wood clone that’s made in USA. Like the OG it may be not a great performer but I don’t mind applying it 2x per day.

Buuuuuuut it really isn’t even close to being the crowning Jewel in this brands line up.
If you think this is incredible, just sample the rest of them. Patiala and Royal Sapphire are notable shoutouts.

@DensI would say it smells a lot like Tom ford oud wood but extremely strong. I got it before I had ever smelled TF oud wood so I didn’t know that the smell wasn’t for me.

Do not buy this buy zuarac from spirit of kings before you buy this it’s way better and less expensive trust me I’ve got a 2010 batch of oud wood and zaurac and they smell so close
