(From someone who has completed every hostile takeover in the game) Tip: only level up the factorys that have 5 or more supply lines coming from them. Jiwe, Harufu, Bandari, Port des Mines, Fond-de-la-baine,Tanjona all at level 10 will bank you 27000 pieces of 8 per day and thats without doing any supply runs

@@d3athwish so getting those factorys iv named to level 10 will bank you 27000 pieces of 8 per day, and that without having to top them up without supplys i.e tabbacco, berries, sugar cane etc. But to get the full benefit you will have to fully upgrade the helm so you get the 55% bonus from supply lines
@@d3athwish I think what they are saying is you don't need to do supply runs once your empire is maxed out. You earn Po8 pretty quick. I've been diamond for quite a while now and I'll tell you what I did after making initial mistakes like upgrading everything. It's gonna be a bit long winded but packed with information.
First upgrade "Smugglers Operations" it goes quick it's only 25 Po8 more than the previous level. At 7 it gives you Gold Rum. At 15 it gives you Black Lotus. At 16 it gives you Gold Gin but I would save your berries for supply runs. At 17 & 18 it's going to give you a 30% chance of making a extra rum or lotus in your lab & distillery.
Here's the math part. Scurlock will buy white rum for 100sp but he will buy gold rum for 250sp.
Take 1000 sugar cane and process it and you should receive 30% more rum netting you 1300 white rum that cost you 5000sp to make. Scurlock buys that for 130,000sp minus your 5000sp cost netting you 125,000sp profit. Looks great but if it were gold rum lets see what happens.
Okay we're going to process that white rum to gold rum. It's going to cost 10sp instead of 5sp to process, so that's going to cost you a additional 6,500 to process.
Now this will also give you 30% more gold rum so instead of getting 650 gold rum you end up with 840 gold rum. Selling this to Scurlock will get you 210,000sp minus 11,500 cost nets you a nice profit of 198,500sp giving you a extra 73,000sp for running it twice through your distillery.
Now look at the last upgrades stack called "Empire Operations" Lots of good stuff here but we're going to focus on the +10% to trade routes. As you invest in it that it goes up by 10% until it's a increase of 50% per trade route. Maxing this tab out will have Harufu earning you 522 Po8phr. At that rate it'll take just under 9 hours to fill it's 4500 storage capacity. Since I no longer need Po8 I just relax and do one or two supply runs to the settlements of Fond-de-la-Baie and Port des Mines in the South and the Northern settlements of Bandari and Jiwe to match pace with Harufu. The other 4 settlements earn between 301 to 371 Po8phr. When building your empire do supply runs to all of them filling them every few hours and dragging thousands of Po8 out of Africa till everything you want is maxed out
Sorry for the longwinded setup but it really frees up your time to do what you want to do and makes upkeep very easy.
Okay I stopped viewing too soon. You are aware of this. Seeing other CCs not knowing this stuff. One even argued with me and said it was impossible to get enough Helm supplies to fund a empire and it was better to run up the beach to the same vendor switching servers. Well you can't fix stupid.
@@d3athwishsupply runs for your pO8 sites, you can bring say 100 sugar or 100 berries to a site and it generates pO8 328% faster for a half hour, if you do upgrade in your helm office that timer goes up to hour hours, also you really only wanna max out the lines with the most trade routes connected to that paticular site, before you min max the rest of the sites, cause the main sites alone will fund ur ENTIRE BUSINESS, hope that truly clarifies what he ment by supply runs, . Side note when you making an OROBORS ARMOR VIDEO NOONE HAS INE YET AND THE AMROR IS AMAZING

Here's some extra detail I think wasn't mentioned in the video:
For those of you that don't want PvP and don't want to wait for the Heist option either, just keep an eye on the PvP takeovers: The're opt-in, so to participate and attack other players, you must have joined the event. So if you see a takeover sitting at 0 participants, if you're the only player joining, there's nobody that will distract you and you'll get just a regular PvE event kind of sorts.
One more hint to make it way less tedious: Upgrade factories to rank 3 first. Main reason this gives you two hours of runtime (instead of one). So if you've got more time to play, it saves you from just finishing one run, then having to do another right after.

Great break down as usual. BUT here is a message that gets lost to us solo casual players of this game...the amount of Po8 and time you need to sink into this game to get everything to levels D3ath is suggesting is mind numbing and absolutely soul crushing. It gets To the point where it is hard to even turn the game on as all you will be doing is producing rum and opium and playing water delivery service simulator. Personally, It has taken me forever to just get one location to level 7 because of the very discouraging grind. I know i don't speak for everyone that plays but it gets so time consuming that you play for 3-4 hours and feel as though you have accomplished nothing. Not to mention that you will be waiting for hours while the game slowly crafts your rum/opium (thanks devs for that terrible patch). Then it will take hours to max out your Po8 location production (UPDTAE: I just funded my one level 7 location and is producing 60/hour it is funded for TEN HOURS...so in 10 actual hours i won't even have the max amount of Po8 to collect...broken system IMO). In the meantime you can't tackle the harder content as efficient since you have a mid-level ship because you don't have the endless time to sink into playing delivery boy to get the sovereigns you need (just looking at the amount of Po8 you need to get a tiny bit of sovereigns is discouraging). Aren't you a Kingpin? Last i checked Kingpins don't do this work themselves...All that said I still do have some fun when playing BUT in less than 80 days any SLOW progress i have made will be lost so that to is a very disheartening. Again i can only speak for my experience and not that of others. Happy hunting all.
Just do only the Red Isles, and upgrade them all to 10. At level 10, a manufactory can hold 50 hours of Po8's (less if it's on some trade routes, but still well worth it), so you only have to do a collection run every 2 days.
Don't even waste your time doing orders, complete waste of time, you're better off sellling Rum and Opium for silver to feed your manufactories, and freeing you from the timesink of selling commodities all over the place. Then you can just concentrate on your Smuggler's Pack progression.
I completely agree with you. I am laid up for surgery right now and when my wife and daughter aren't home I just play this. And I have been able to progress so much because of being stuck in bed. When I was working last week only playing an hour or two a day. Could barely progress at all

@@AaronMichaelLong I totally get what you are saying. but just doing simple math that will take roughly 320K Po8 to upgrade all the Red Isle to level 10. Right now i only have 5900 collected. I know i need to grind but that to me is ridiculous sounding...thanks for the advise though.
Have you upgraded your helm empire? Smugglers operations is key to getting more po8 per helm delivery. i can do a run to helm liaisons and come out with 900-1200 Po8 for just delivering goods. I then use that to upgrade manufacturies or helm empire stuff and it refreshes rather quickly. Plus the infamy and xp gains from destroying the rogues is also good.
18:00 @D3ATHWISH its pretty much confirmed also in game already. In north part of coast of africa you can find wrecks with a green flag and a white dagger (a faction not in the game yet).

Don't invest too much into Red Isle, only make enough to open coast of Africa. Step 2 would be ONLY leveling the locations with "multiple ports" there is 4 major ones on cost of Africa and getting those to level 10 will help you amass tons of pieces of 8.

The more trade routes one thing has the faster it fills, especially if u combine it with the last book
Great video. One thing about upgrading manufacturers, do the ones that have the most connections (dotted lines) first because they produce much faster. Look at the rates of two level 7's for instance, one with one or two connections, and one with four or five. Huge difference.

The second book at lvl 10 also helps woth the big treasure maps bc it reduces the time i need to stay in the circe from 30 sec to 10 sec

Maybe been mentioned for silver....use Po8 and upgrade the leftmost tab to I think level 7 (or it's 8) to make gold rum. Convert all that silver rum at 2 silver for 1 gold and THEN sell gold rum to Sturelock for 250 silver each instead of the silver rum at 100 silver each.
Since and repeat with Rahnma and the opium, leveling that first Helm tab to around level 15.

Friendly tip: DON'T SELL THE PURPLE RARITY RUM ... INSTEAD UNLOCK THE ABILITY TO CRAFT GOLD SKULL RUM AS THAT TAKES 2 TO CRAFT, BUT SELLS FOR 250, AND THE SAME GOES FOR OPIUM AT OTHER CITY.... you first have to upgrade from the table the first page as much as possible... don't waste mats on less
I literally just said the same thing. Only silver method you need. Save those materials and trying to sell for profit and use them on quick to complete missions now.

When you said you get Helm Materials from Roving contracts is that when you sink the helm ship or just by completing them as "intended*
Does anyone know what happens to the smugglers tokens when get all the rewards and have nothing to use them on?
Those complaining that starting over every season is wrong. There's only so much you can do with tge po8s and if you never had to reclaim them the game would definitely get old fast.
Everything to level 7 first, then Africa, Full book upgrade or everything to 10 first?
What I found with killing the roving helm contacts, it takes a little while to respawn. If there happens to be someone, like me, trying to use the contacts properly you end up crueling my game because I then have wait for the respawn. And if the player killing the contacts hangs around for respawns, it also results in the contact being uninteractable while it attempts to avoid the attacking player. Have had this happen and it was mightily annoying.
Just saying....upgrades in helm are important especially the last one that increases trade route and territory profit

my only gripe about the helm ship is right now it almost feels like an exploit. I feel like the death mark doesn't mean anything right now. That might be because of the glitch when the game first released give the Death mark was resended. So maybe they haven't fully restored what the death mark is supposed to do.

Been doing Gannet runs every time the contracts show up and still have not gotten any saltpeter to craft some of the upper tier gear!
I think they nerfed the drop rates recently for these materials, so it is probably worth it to buy what you need instead of putting time on farming these factions.

I love this game but i hate how the end game is starting to feel like a side job. I've been spending a lot of time trying to farm Po8 to buy thing as well as upgrade but it definitely gets overwhelming. The thought of doing this AGAIN when it resets in about 70-ish days, gives me anxiety. So, I wonder if the idea is to give everyone who plays the gsmeabout 3 months to farm as much Po8 as possible and get all the loot they want then keep them engaged with seasonal content while giving the newbies opportunities to farm Po8. I dont know but i dont think I'll be doing this again when it resets. I almost dont even want to do it now 😂😂. Africa literally took me about an hour to collect and get back to St Annes 😩.
I'm not much a PvPer, all this grinding to then attack another player who is also grinding just feels wrong. That being said, for the hostile takeovers, you don't actually have to attack any other player that's joined, if you don't want to. You'll see a progress bar with your name, and others if there are more joined, in the lower right of your HUD while the takeover is happening. Whoever is sinking the most NPC ships/destoying towers will get to 100% first.
Wrong There is a spreadsheet available that shows how each manufactory has diffrent poe gathering rates.

I know that at the start of season 2 all of the upgrades will get reset, but I'm wondering if we'll have to redo the takeovers for all the manufacturies as well, or will we get to keep those and either keep going or re-upgrade them? I guess we'll see.....

Spawn rate for him got nerfed into the ground. He will never spawn for a solo player now. Even running as a duo, both with 10+ heads he won’t spawn. Can’t even get hostility level to 4.

dont sell white skull rum.. upgrade your smugler operations to get gold skull rum first.. gold skull sells for 250 s and white only 100.. and it takes 2 white to make a gold
also there are some proc on xtra mats when you turn helm mats into rum/gin/opium/snuff
