Dude look at how he impacted EVERYONE. Been here for 10 years and I cry almost erday at some point because (as cliche as it sounds) our little(planet) on-going-existential-crisis took a loss (and maybe even a gain(Via worldwide perspective changing/evolving JUST because of him) and look at the numbers, not much of us know, BUT, no one will stick around in an artists comment section like WE WILL and maybe that sounds whack but theres no one on the face of the planet earth like THAT. PERIOD. He was a HUGE part of music but even more of an influence to HUMAN CONCIOUSNESS. To me he changed hip hop, the world and way of thinking and no one really even knows it yet. Never cried about anyone dieing.... til the last month. love yall. stay safe. -hopefully a nobody one day

Going back and watching recent interviews, it's just hard to believe Mac ever intended to go out the way he did, his music made OD'ing seem like a careless fear, I don't think he ever expected to take himself to the point of no return, yet he knew all along it was a very real possibility. It still hurts, but Swimming (not to overshadow all of his other amazing projects) is a big ease on a heavy heart, a perfect album with the message that Mac has finally found his peace, right before exiting this life. RIP to one of the greatest to ever do it, and thank you for the years of fun, love, and positivity, we'll miss you Mac.

When knowing that the end is near you can look at yourself from a third person point of view, and analyze your life in the most objective and non-judge mental way possible. That is what Malcom created with this album. He knew that he was eventually going to die, detached from the outcome, and spoke from a different perspective than all of his previous albums.
Crazy how he had such a great sense of humor and seemed so light hearted and focused on his craft but was battling some crazy inner demons. I know how it feels actually but never turned to drugs as an escape thankfully.
