Take a Barbie, dress it in a mix of Ken and Action Man clothes then draw on a beard. Might have to file down the boobs but that's just personal preference.
Because Internet Explorer invites Malware and Adware viruses. And slows down your computer. True and proven fact. So when you are going to Geek Squad, Give them a fucking smile for me. Or if you repair it yourself. Send me a selfie of yourself with a thumbs up and a paper cut out of the Internet Explorer Icon stuffed up your ass and place it on Instagram. Because that is what Interent Explorer is. Complete Shit... Unless you are just Trolololing
legoyeah01 Good bud... Good... And its good you never decided to use FireFox. Well... Looks like my job here is done. Saved and yet another lad from the evil clutches of the dreaded Explorer! Good Ol Little timmy! Now remember when people ask you, what is your favorite plate. You tell them CHROOOOOOME!!!! I'm Off! :p
That's okay there was a burglar who broke into a couples home stole some stuff and upon exiting tripped down the stairs and hurt himself. He then took the family to court and won......I genuinely would have thrown bear traps at the faces of the jury and judge if I were present
Officially my favorite video haha. In my opinion, they really shouldn't go as far as suing to get money. Maybe send out a request for money to Microsoft and remind them that they are using Motorola tech, but seriously?... You're gonna sue them? They know they're gonna lose and they should be able to see why.
I hate it when stupid companies sue JUST for the sake of maybe getting cash. People who do that are screwed up in the head. People can't go stick their hands into someone else's paycheck because they need money or they feel like they deserve it.
Your points are valid..but you left out a few things. Motorola USED to have a fair use thing called RAND (Reasonable and Non Discriminatory) that let any company used the patents for whatever. What you are forgetting, and not mentioning here, is that Google bought Motorola and changed the rules...and that's what promoted MS to sue Moto back in 2010....BUT the rules have still change. Motorola is well within their rights...and may win here. Good thing a new Xbox is in the works. lol
It was made by Bungie as an RTS originally intended for release on the Mac, because of their history with Marathon. They then changed the idea into an FPS. At which point, Microsoft offered them money (which is legal, by the way) to port the franchise to their home console (the Xbox). Apple didn't bother holding gaming developer because it wasn't their target market. What is your point here?
Actually it was literally minutes after I had replied that I seen the first "Xbox One Turnaround" stories, basically before the story really started to circulate. Also, Who needs backwards compatibility? This wasn't an issue in gamers minds until the current(last?) gen. If you want to play games from last gen, then keep your last gen systems, thats what I have always done. As for purchases, I can KIND of agree on that.
That's funny, because your last post suggests it was "Microsoft can't come up with their own ideas". Furthermore, Halo was 'returned to the Mac community' a few years on when Halo was ported to Mac OS X. If it stayed on the Mac, I can guarantee you it wouldn't have had a sequel.
This just shows how far Motorola has fallen over the years; from a known electronics company to a respectable cell phone company to trying to sue Microsoft for using something they made fair use.
I have to agree with you Omega its a stupid thing for motorla to do when they already said everyone can use both for free, also I would like to know what your opinion is on the whole apple/samsung patent battles?
The reason MOS technologies was full of good people who were Ex-Motorola employees, because one example is the 6500/6501 chip (now close to nonexistent) got flack from Motorola in the 1970s for this reason, and then the 6502 was invented!
So if it does get successfully banned in the US, does that mean their games can't be sold anywhere either? cuz that would seriously suck. I already own an Xbox (obviously) but there are tons of games I don't own that I'm saving to get AND ones coming out that I'm looking forward to...?
As of right now, it's in a state of limbo.Judge said Microsoft didn't prove Motorola did anything wrong, but it looks like Motorola may have done some shady business.MS claims that the current royalty fees would cost them $4 billion of their $8.4B annual income- Motorola claims it's fairly pricing it at only just above 2%.Apple and MS have teamed up on the European lawsuit against Motorola. The ITC judge seems to lack the concept that the video game industry is a competitive one by his comments.
No reason to get mad at Motorola. They are just following along in the disturbing trend we have been seeing across the board in the tech world. It now seems major tech companies are devoting significant business interests in siphoning money out of other companies for infringing broad, dubious patents. Who is really at fault? Whoever is allowing for things like phone dimensions or decades-old circuit tech to be patented!
It's as simple as this. If the codex where made freely available but covered under a creative commons non-commercial use clause, Motorola has a case, but they probably weren't, so they don't and Microsoft will counter-sue them for lost sales and publicity damages which will force Motorola into bankruptcy, at which point Microsoft will buy them out. It'll become a hostile takeover, I guarantee it.
Het Alpha have you read about the "Japanese Game Developer Apparently Harassed So Much, She Attempted Suicide" article. It stars your "current favorite" company. Someone posted it in a forum I go to, the article is on kotaku.
@AlphaOmegaSin PS: Don't worry man you have some fellow big MST3K fans out here. Been tempted to pick up what they're doing these days with their RIFTTRAX project I heard about some time ago now.
I doubt this will go through but if it does whats this mean for 360 games? On a side note Alpha what are your thoughts on a video game crash coming? On this video game group I'm in on facebook they keep talking about it.
What gets me the most about this issue; I'm not a fanboy or anything but if it was Sony ? People would be freaking out and all the gaming sites would be all over this but since is Xbox lets swept this under the rug.
i talked to someone from Microsoft to see if this was true and they said that is was a rumor as far as they were concerned but they have had heard stuff about it on the Internet.
The Motorola Droid Razr is a top selling phone and Motorola is merging with Google they are doing just fine in the money department. This is just a case of big business counter suing and this will probably make no impact on ANYONE.
I think he meant a good 2d side scroller platformer of Super Meat Boy caliber and not Nintendo themed and put on a mainstream "big boy console" like the ps3 and xbox. A good mainstream platform that is just the right amount of difficult.
I will apologize for that update thing I didn't know. The thing about the backwards compatibility and the digital purchases was because scores of people were bashing the Xbox One with that when they all ready new the same thing was happening with the PS4 and I wanted come back at them with the same thing at least once so maybe a couple of them would stop being hypocrites. Last thing I am sorry if I used the wrong words but you know what I mean at least.
Right I am subscribing to your channel. I love the format, how nuts you are sometimes and that fact that people with a brain (like us) seem to need to stick together in this world full of total knobbers. Box ticked, job done, keep up the great work dude and rock the fuck on!
Once again, this is not a cut and dry issue like this dude says. After researching it, apparently Motorola did expect compensation but Microsoft felt it had an unreasonable price tag; however, the issue isn't so easily understood. Apparently, Motorola has some copyright infringement lawsuits against them from Microsoft as well. Here's where it gets incredibly complicated, the copyrighted codex's work with each other. It will give you a headache. They should just merge and call it Microsoftola!
well this actually supposedly started from Microsoft. microsoft told a bunch of manufacturing companies of Android phones that they were infrenging on ActiveSync. all settled save for Motorola who countersued claiming Microsoft violated five patents. Not just that they wanted money but that they were retaliating, supposedly. it's on IGN's story.
Yup, it reminds me with the case of LG and Sony where Microsoft and Nintendo fanboys where hoping the PS3 was banned. History its repeating itself again...
Have you read anything about this case other than what you have heard others say? YES they can. When the RAND came up for renewal the policy had changed. The way Motorola had the patent use set up was not free and clear. MS was paying for use of those patents, but when Google purchased Motorola they changed the pricing. THAT is why MS sued...and won. Last year when it came time to pay again, guess what...MS didn't like the pricing and refused. Sooo...Motorola sued them. End of discussion.
motorola was one of the firtst to make radios in america. they built our national security communications. microsoft violated many patents and are guilty of it whether or not they ever meant to. if microsoft wants people to respect their properties then they have to respect other company rights too. this is not a problem in my eyes and yes i own a 360.
Motorola is one of the biggest techonologies company, they aren't in any way desperate and they never said you could utilize their patent products for free, they said they are fine with everyone using IF they paid for it.
I AGREE 100%!!! X-Box uses a lot of logos that many people don't know they think cool Motorola in GTA! but the company is like WHAT THE F**K WE NEVER APPROVED ABOUT THIS!!!
No it's not. It's an outdated, console that's holding onto its casual market and hard fans to keep its life going, as Microsoft changes it from a game console into a family movie/game/music player.
That is a very good point. A VERY good point. I play on pc, ps3 and x360 and I enjoy all of them. For me it was always a matter of the games available. I mean, if all my favorite games suddenly became wii exclusive I'd get a wii. But still, a VERY GOOD point, a GOOD gaming pc can cost more than five times as much as a 360 or a PS3.
If it is indeed fair use then they have no right to sue, but knowing big name company lawyers, they'll try to find some way around that. People try to exploit fair use a lot, and considering all the bills they're trying to pass through like SOPA, PIPA and CISPA to supposedly combat this very thing... it wouldn't surprise me in the least if a loophole was found and something came out of this. But this won't be over for at least another year, by then we'll all be wondering about the Xbox 720.
M$ is the company that screwed up and sewed them first. And, Motorola did not sue M$ first. If you were smart, you would know that M$ sued Motorola first. Then since Motorola saw that they violated more than one of their patents. They sued back, so at the point it is in complete favor of Motorola. If you don't know, M$ has already been ban from Germany. M$ can't come up with proof of why they can't be ban either. So, it was nice knowing M$ while it lasted.

JJDiscussions Hi JJ!
This was a trip down memory lane.
hey!...were can i get my own alphaomegasin action figure??
Take a Barbie, dress it in a mix of Ken and Action Man clothes then draw on a beard. Might have to file down the boobs but that's just personal preference.
WOW you are very entertaining. Good video. Thank you for taking the time to make it and being yourself.
I like internet explorer.
Why do people hate it so much? It's O.K I don't really like Firefox but whatever floats your boat.
Please learn the magic of Google Chrome.
Nah I'm using Google chrome now..
legoyeah01 Great!
legoyeah01 Good bud...
I'm Off! :p
I really love that intro. How long did that take to make, and what did you use to make it?
I like how people complain you say 'fuck' so much haha, keep it goin' man, love your shit.
That's okay there was a burglar who broke into a couples home stole some stuff and upon exiting tripped down the stairs and hurt himself. He then took the family to court and won......I genuinely would have thrown bear traps at the faces of the jury and judge if I were present
There isn't any used game restriction or always online, but the Kinect is still mandatory.
The mac Donald's hover round bit killed me, still chuckling bout it.
Officially my favorite video haha. In my opinion, they really shouldn't go as far as suing to get money. So true. It was supposed to be a third person shooter and or RTS for iMac back in 98-99.
"In 1999, Bungie announced its next product, Halo, as a Real-time strategy game for Windows and Macintosh." it wasn't even supposed to be an FPS.
3:17 total life breakdown...
Your points are valid..but you left out a few things.
Motorola USED to have a fair use thing called RAND (Reasonable and Non Discriminatory) that let any company used the patents for whatever.

What is your point here?
I used to work at McDonalds- that's about a 98% accurate impression of some of the regulars
The same way I wouldn't care about developers dropping support for the PC because all people do is pirate.
Something tells me Motorolla was just hoping that Microsoft was just so HUGE it would just give them money in a settlement.
The entire company isn't owned by Google that's just Motorola Mobility.
Well I don't look into detail did I? I only wanted to share my thoughts about this subject!
Which is stupid that shareholders influence the gaming industry.
Big companies like these sue each other for things like this all the time.
Microsoft began to sue them two years ago. If they were upset they would have gone after them sooner than this past year.
For the most part it's Verizon, Motorolla and a few other smartphone industries.
I spilt my tea out of my nose from laughing when you did "biggie size"
who missed the goodie old days of of 2 major video game companies ?
This just shows how far Motorola has fallen over the years; from a known electronics company to a respectable cell phone company to trying to sue Microsoft for using something they made fair use.
I have to agree with you Omega its a stupid thing for motorla to do when they already said everyone can use both for free, also I would like to know what your opinion is on the whole apple/samsung patent battles?
Dude you look like a beast *in a good way* with your hair and beard. It looks awesome.
Actually Motorola won the case and instead of the xbox 360 being banned from sale in the US and Germany, they paid Motorola 4b in royalties o,0
The reason MOS technologies was full of good people who were Ex-Motorola employees, because one example is the 6500/6501 chip (now close to nonexistent) got flack from Motorola in the 1970s for this reason,
and then the 6502 was invented!
you wont be saying that when your watching a random pizza shop ad on your sony playstation 4
I think it'd be pretty funny if they actually pulled it off. That way I would have to worry about my 360 destroying anything I put near it anymore.
Yes, a few out there still want to make good games without the dollar sign in their head.
This is weird because Motorola was a marker of Xbox 360 components...
So if it does get successfully banned in the US, does that mean their games can't be sold anywhere either? cuz that would seriously suck. I already own an Xbox (obviously) but there are tons of games I don't own that I'm saving to get AND ones coming out that I'm looking forward to...?
This is the best channel ever for video game economics.

They were both really good games. I just put Persona 4 because I thought more people thought it was the better one.

That is an amazing back wall. You have so many blue-rays and games. Its amazing. One day I will create something like that.
the power of the triple digit IQ
Het Alpha have you read about the "Japanese Game Developer Apparently Harassed So Much, She Attempted Suicide" article. It stars your "current favorite" company. Someone posted it in a forum I go to, the article is on kotaku.
They are!
Every time, the phone rings, it screws up my speakers.
True, story, I'm not lying.
No worries, I did it too. You'r not alone, my friend.
@AlphaOmegaSin PS: Don't worry man you have some fellow big MST3K fans out here. Been tempted to pick up what they're doing these days with their RIFTTRAX project I heard about some time ago now.
PS4's commercial is also the most awesome commercial I've seen.
I sense an AlphaOmegaSin musical on the way.
I doubt this will go through but if it does whats this mean for 360 games? On a side note Alpha what are your thoughts on a video game crash coming? On this video game group I'm in on facebook they keep talking about it.

Well I'm glad we see eye to eye and that was fun, thanks.
they really should allow moto to win and then release their new xbox for a rediculas price would be a smart move
Stoners doesn't mean "idiots"..... there are plenty of stoners who are perfectly literate..
''Microsoft wins patent trial against Motorola, awarded $14 million''

I think Motorola are having one last hoorah before they either get bought out by Google, or go completely.
Even if it's true no one waits eight years to raise a lawsuit unless they want money.
Once again, this is not a cut and dry issue like this dude says. After researching it, apparently Motorola did expect compensation but Microsoft felt it had an unreasonable price tag; however, the issue isn't so easily understood. Motorola's a large company actually that does not actually have a danger of going into the red
Bullshit, they went bankrupt and had to reform JUST LAST FUCKING YEAR. They were almost LIQUIDATED.
this guy doesnt realise that microsoft sued motorola first and motorola "counter-sued" them.
Yup, it reminds me with the case of LG and Sony where Microsoft and Nintendo fanboys where hoping the PS3 was banned. History its repeating itself again...
You deserve an academy award, That was hands down the best interpretation of a fat guy on a hove around ordering at Mcdonalds.
You have a good argument, but unfortunately The ITC is on Motorola's side.
Have you read anything about this case other than what you have heard others say?
YES they can. When the RAND came up for renewal the policy had changed. The way Motorola had the patent use set up was not free and clear. Actually, Motorola's been doing really good lately in the smartphone industry.
This is almost 4 years old
+Xenomex then you are a dumbass, dumbass
+Xenomex completely different the cure for cancer isn't advertised all over the place. dumbass.
Using a moto g right now 😁😁😁
+Wingsofdawn :3 Amazing phone, survives many drops on concrete :D
I AGREE 100%!!! X-Box uses a lot of logos that many people don't know they think cool Motorola in GTA! but the company is like WHAT THE F**K WE NEVER APPROVED ABOUT THIS!!!
what about people who arent teens / children? few games are aimed specifically at older players
didnt see this one yet, but when i saw it, i thought "lemme guess, because of 1 game?"
but its much lower..... yeah....
I might've actually had something on topic to say, but after that "beef curtains" crack, I'm useless. XD
No it's not. It's an outdated, console that's holding onto its casual market and hard fans to keep its life going, as Microsoft changes it from a game console into a family movie/game/music player.
That's called a "coincidence", not "irony".

No surprise, everyone wants to get on Microsoft's good side. Few have the balls to stand up to them.
MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER IS HILARIOUS LOL THE SCREAMING SKULL EPISODE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES.
Alphaomegasin I am wondering how you think of these sexual innuendos.
Oh PS3 is in between. I find it a bit troublesome to use when compared to xbox since the menus actually confuse the hell out of me lol. but its graphics are a step above xbox's but not par with what pc can do. Even though many games dont use the PS3's graphics since most of them are multiplatform. Also its convenient to have less discs on big games when compared to xbox games due to blu-rays increased storage capabilities when compared to regular discs.
Never heard of a Terms of Service agreement changing?
Companies do it all the time....especially when the come under new ownership.
