I agree about displaying the zone. I do have automatically adjusted resistance, but it'd be a nice feature.

Love what you said about a sprinter vs. an endurance person having a larger Z3, 4, 5, etc. Well said!!!!

I have had my Peloton for just over 30 days. I’m already in week 4 of DYPZ program. I joined early as a result of seeing you discuss it. It is really made for me. I’ve been adding addition PZ endurance rides, which help me burn off my stress without having the likes of Olivia trying to kill me. 😜.
I agree with all your points. I do think they should promote it more. I think people would be afraid of the FTP test. When I started the DYPZ program I did turn on the power zone scale and the default settings for my age / weight were pretty close to my first test. So if I think people knew that they could start taking PZ without the test, that more people would take those classes.
My other idea is that they need more instructors. Matt and Olivia are 2 of my favs and I do like Denise but everyone has their own favs.
I do wish they should split up the filter to all 3 PZ class types to make it easier to find.
Last comment, is that I wish I could create my own PZ program without having to schedule each day / time.

I'm new to Peloton and had no idea there was a test for power zones... I saw it on TH-cam... I love the bike and love the competitive nature of the leader board... Getting ready to take the powerzone test, just because... I'm really not sure why I should take it, there are so many metrics to measure yourself... but hey, anything to keep me motivated to better health...

There is no reason the bike+ auto follow could not work with the PZ classes. It would work exactly like ERG mode does with a smart trainer. Adjust resistance regardless of cadence to keep the power in the specified zone. I agree each zone should be personal as opposed to just a percentage of FTP. There should be a shorter than 20 min test to get FTP.

all of that would be awesome... but even just a little # that told me the current zone would be a huge help 😂

They finally did this earlier this year. Can't believe it took them that long

My ftp score has exploded in just 5 weeks after the DYPZ. Should be going over 325 by end of BYPZ. Excellent video!

My FTP score was 114 and now 117- how do I track my scores. I cannot find the FTP history on the bike - where is that data stored?

Just finished week one of the build your power zone program. I found week one exceptionally easy. I started the zone training because I was going my hardest 6x a week and I’m hoping for better results with zone training. Is this normal for week one? I also find the recovery rides between workouts too easy. Feel like I’m loosing momentum

depends on how accurate your FTP test score is... but if you are used to going hard 6X a week then I can this feeling easy for you, but that's not a bad thing. One of the big keys to long term development is mixing easier lower volume/lower intensity work, and giving your body time to recovery and build. I would keep sticking with it and let the results indicate how its going rather than how hard it feels. I know that can be tough tho, and if you really feel like you need to add more then adding an additional PZ endurance ride should be ok (or any ride as long as you try not to spend too much time above zone 3)

I don't like the FTP test!!! I did my second one last night at the conclusion of the DYPZ program and I went down instead of up compared to the test I took at the start of the program. Do you have any coaching tips? I'm wondering if my sore quads played a role (or, I'm just a loser).

Sorry to hear that. There could be a lot of reasons you might see your FTP go down… what was your training like the past few weeks and days leading up to the test? (besides following DYPZ).
