【German Original Lyrics】The Promised Neverland ~Isabella's Lullaby~ (Self Duet)

Hello my precious snowflakes uwu I was watching “The promised Neverland” and I FREAKING love it, gosh. And Isabella’s lullaby is just so adorable, I had to sing it.
So I sang my throat to death… really… these high notes killed me, I didn’t even know that I’m capable of singing this high o_O
~ About the Lyrics (Spoiler Alert here, like I said in the video xD But I guess you already watched ep. 12, or you wouldn’t read the infobox) ~
This was the first time that I wrote lyrics for an OST without any lyrics. So I had to think about what the song will be about.
First I thought about singing a lullaby from Leslie to Isabella, but nope, I didn’t like the idea.
So I started to write a version in which Isabella sings to all her children before I finished the anime. It was a mistake... xD
When I finished it I thought that a lullaby dedicated to Ray would fit better.
You know what I mean if you watched the anime or read the manga, Ray is just adorable :3
And don’t wonder why there are english lines in it, I wanted to keep the word play with “Ray” as a name or as a ray of light uwu And unfortunately it’s not possible in german ;; Because ray means “Strahl” in german…. rip xD
And I was like: “Hey let’s sing deep harmonies too… just imagine this is Ray singing with his mom”
AND HERE IS A DUET OF ISABELLA AND RAY BORN ISN’T THIS IDEA JUST ADORABLE AAAA XDD
And special thanks to Kirishe who mixed/ timed it and sang some harmonies too. Your harmonies in german are so adorable honey ♡

Aww I feel so bad... my mother died as well... she was fighting for almost her whole life and died three years after I was born, and I know she'd want to see me safe and happy so I don't hide who I am, I just want to make sure everyone lives happy and that I also can live happy for her, and I know ever since she was little it was her dream to have a happy family, so when I'm older I'm gonna try and have a happy family for her, I wish you luck with your life because I know it's hard.

Haha well xD I wasn't out of words, the reason why I used english for some line was that I really wanted to do a word play with a character's name (Except the "I love you" xD). And this word play wouldn't make sense in german ;;

This is such a beautiful cover.
I've sent this lullaby to my teacher after high school ended, since it kind of reminded me of her sweet and kind behaviour towards us, and because this song inspired me to start learning German (she was our English teacher, but also a German teacher).
She told me she felt more motivated in her job after listening to this (and after reading some other words of mine), and now this cover holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of her. I will definitely remember her forever ❤
