You should check out Guitar Razze channel. He was the first to master the Justice sound and he did some insane covers off the Hardwired album. Atlas Rise is especially amazing.
They're called samples. You literally just rip each drum sound directly from the original recording. Then just place them in some software in the correct pattern. Pretty much all music today is all samples. You never actually hear an organic drum hit on a recording. Just the same pre-recorded sound snapped to a grid.

From the click in the bass drums to the low frequencies from the palm muting that substitute the lack of bass guitar, this was mixed impressively accurate!
The snare IS on the offbeat. Always has been. The snare hits are on beats 2 and 4, not 1 and 3. Unless you meant to put it on the ON beat, so it actually syncopates with the guitar chords (which are on the offbeat).

The unmuted chords and snare drum are on the OFF BEAT. The riff begins with a double-picked palm mute. Accents (like unmuted chords) do not imply anything about timing. Seems like your ears tricked your brain. Need some ear training. Or brain training. Something to get you guys on the right track.

Awesome. I love the tone of AJFA personally. If you have a good sub woofer the guitar alone can be bassy enough, but I do feel hugely sorry for Jason because his basslines were fantastic in this record.

Guitar is a little less bassy, bass drum a little more full bodied and less clicky, but still sounding like Justice. He's currently redoing his work bc he has a new AI software he found to make stems out of the album and its rough mixes, so he's making his way through the half of the album that doesn't have available stems
I think he just listened to Steve Thompon. There is bass here. It’s just turned all the way down. And the Guitar and Drums are explosive. Others might have tried recording it with no bass thinking it’s the same thing.

But yeah it has been a long time and I remember you commenting ages ago lol. But I am uploading a different song either today or tomorrow by a different band that I haven’t posted yet. Also, doing these recreations (especially this song) take so much time and effort, like I was working on the mix itself for like 6 months before I uploaded the preview.
