- A United Airlines flight lost one of its tires during takeoff from San Francisco on Thursday, causing the Japan-bound plane to be diverted to Los Angeles, where the flight landed safely without incident, the airline said.
The tire debris landed in an employee parking lot at San Francisco International Airport. No injuries were reported, but at least on vehicle was damaged.

Thank God nobody was hurt by the tire. Falling from that height with it's steel rim! Thank God the Plane also landed safely.🥺

Between doors and tires flying off of planes these days I'm driving to my next vacation.
Better pray that Elon Musk gets his Boring Company tunnels going, because you’ll notice at the end of this report, it was cars that were hit by this thing. Doesn’t do you any good to avoid flying if planes are just going to start hurling bits of themselves at you down on the roads you’re driving on to stay safe.

For what damages? Airline probably covered their flight and probably offered another free or highly reduced flight.

I heard from a former Boeing employee, that the young people being hired now days have no morals or work ethic. They're constantly on their cell phones. They miss work for the upmost incompetent reasons and their workmanship is horrible.

They need HAZARD PAY for those Service Agent employees who are right there every day walking through that Hurts parking lot where the tire rested...
Avis and Enterprise rentals should also receive HAZZARD PAY seeing that they are right next door to Hurts...
What they didn't won't to show is that there were 2 cars in the Hurts parking lot one of which was a Tesla and the other being something else and during this time there were employees in that parking lot who could have been killed, luckily the second car stopped the wheel from going any further...
PAY those people more for working in such a DANGEROUS area...

Contact the airline with your worries !!! Threaten to spread it all over Facebook Twitter Instagram social media so people choose other airlines... maintenance crew sabotage due to low pay is highly likely
Watch as it lands, and part of the left engine cowling slides backwards, presumably during reverse thrusting to slow down. Watching planes for many years and never knew the newer passenger jets did that.
That is just one of the reasons these things have so damn many wheels

I took an Amtrak the last time I went home. Took longer than I cared for but I knew that going in. At least there was food on board and it was pretty good. It wasn’t crazy expensive. The bathrooms definitely needed some help. And you better be prepared to keep your eyes on your luggage. I didn’t realize that they didn’t off load your luggage for you. You definitely want to check out where your suitcase is, make sure it is well marked and easily identifiable not only by you but by others so it doesn’t get mistaken as someone else’s property. And keep in mind that they are death on their schedule. If they tell you they are leaving the terminal in 5 minutes BELIEVE THEM!! Passengers were nice, no Karens trying to be jerks. I would definitely ride again but you definitely need to figure in travel time if you take a train.

just gonna get worse as the working class of this country continue to be downplayed and phased out. when you're making $30hr doing a job for the last 20 years while someone flipping burgers gets a $10 an hour raise while your monthly living costs double, something is wrong.
the reason this is used as an example is, there is growing less and less of a reason why tradesmen need to do a good job, when no skill jobs are earning just a couple tiers less in pay which undermines their drive to do well.
But all the starbucks employees who do jobs a highshool kids an be trained to do in 2 weeks need a "living wage"
It’s the CEOs making 450 times an average wage at their companies that is the primary indicator. Irresponsibility trickles down way faster than phony topside tax breaks.

I flew single seater Ultralight aircraft years ago, I think I’m ready to move up to a 777.
