Excellent video. Glad to see the German in Venice was there making sure it was done right. A few of the workers were doing a GREAT job but there were too many others just standing around. How and why do SO many homeless collect such a HUGE amount of CRAP ! Do they think they're creating their forever home ?!?!?

Dumpster diving, theft, hoarding (a sign of mental illness). They can’t function like everyday citizens, which is why they tend to end up on the streets. Not all homeless people are like this, obviously, but the ones who are have become more numerous. I myself was once homeless, but I didn’t do this sort of stuff.

@@standdown4929 ok there buddy 🥱 having been involved in many homeless support events I can counter with 50% are on drugs but 80% of the people on drugs are good, but the one way to get them to relapse is by taking away what they have and call “home” I saw in the comments from someone else that mentioned having them clean their own mess as community service which would do a lot more good for the community than you truly think. You are shallow minded and only think about the surface issue. Think about the future too and use YOURSELF to feel the way they would if they watched their stuff get chopped up. Homeless people cause issues we all know and see that. But the issue won’t go away with pushing these people around into different areas. Therefore causing scattered trash and homelessness through out the city instead of in certain pockets.THINK 🤔

EVERY city needs to do this. Let the people take only what they can carry and then trash everything else. Set up programs and force them into shelters/help centers and search for jobs. They must follow a set of rules to stay in the shelters. Track them and if they refuse, lock them up in prison. Stop letting them dictate how good, tax paying citizens live and raise their kids.

Shame. In June 2021, L.A.'s Sheriff Villanueva and his Deputies declared they would assume the task of cleaning up Venice Beach (because the Beach's board of supervisors are a bunch of thumb suckers and did nothing about cleaning up their jurisdiction). The Sheriff and his Deputies made the promise and kept their promise and cleaned up Venice Beach to its former nobility. Other cities decided they'd better do it too and proceeded with the cleaning up of their own jurisdictions. It's the old political story: DO SOMETHING. DO NOTHING. It wasn't a democrat or republican that took charge; it took the most powerful law enforcement officer to spearhead the cleanup and shamed all the others to finally get off their butts and clear out the stench, the dirt, and the danger.

Street homeless live very simple and modest life. They don't need much, so they don't ask for much. It's minimalist type of life. They simply find a camping spot, and that becomes their new home. They prefer to be left alone as they are, and the only thing they really want is to be as close as possible to their fentanyl dealers. 99% of street homeless are fentanyl addicts. Large majority of them will simply die from fentanyl overdose, or drugs related violence. Very sad.

It's illegal to destroy personal property that the owner homeless or not wants to keep. Especially when the owner of the personal property is present. All people who are homeless are not disgusting or dirty either.
