could you possibly go over the latest unit 2 exam (the one about the skateboard service one) since the service is where most people may get confused on.
For PLC, do we talk about the stage of the market or the stage of the business because in this video it talks about stage of the market, but my teacher told us to talk about teh stage of the business?
You could; so long as two different models are used. Very few people to my knowledge have ever used the Boston Matrix, but it is a relevant model in terms of decisions around the marketing mix. Plus, if you use it, you will pretty likely find your answer showcased in the next Examiners report!
if you do pestle would you only pick out information in the research pack or can you do your own points but relate it to how its positive or negative for the business
I would be tempted to write about 1-2 key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as I illustrated in this video. A table is ok, but you need to make sure there is enough description and justification.
For the Marketing Mix, you need to describe the main features of the 7Ps as they apply to the case study and your marketing campaign. E.g. what pricing strategy are you recommending? Any new distribution channels? Product development etc
None are compulsory - you can choose any two models. Just about every student uses SWOT. Most also do PESTLE, although I think it is better to use product life cycle [Jim]
You can bring in your two-sides of A4 notes + an annotated copy of the Research Pack with any notes on it that you have added. These will need to be checked by the exams office to ensure you have not included any pre-prepared answers / marketing plans etc

inflation rates, exchange rates, economic growth, interest rates, and the overall state of the economy
these are the life stages of an product life cycle are :
product introduction, growth, maturity, and decline
For PESTLE analysis what are common things to write about for social factors

Talk about the stage the business is at, in the cycle, and explain why it's there
Hello sir, can I use the SWOT and BCG growth-share matrix for the justification part instead of PESTLE and SWOT?

@@tutor2u-official Thank You so much sir 💗
Hello do we have to do a overall swot pestle for the entire market first ? And then one for OUR business ?
No - the SWOT and Pestle should be specific to the business, based on the information in Part B and the research pack
if you do pestle would you only pick out information in the research pack or can you do your own points but relate it to how its positive or negative for the business
Focus on picking out evidence in the research pack only Ayman.
For the swot task, do I first draw a table for each point, and then chose one to expand on? or do I just write abou the key points?
I would be tempted to write about 1-2 key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, as I illustrated in this video. A table is ok, but you need to make sure there is enough description and justification.
Do we have to give an explantion for the Gantt chart?
no - not so long as each element is mentioned somewhere
For the 7ps do we make our own up or do we pick them our from the case study and exmplain or same for PESTLE and SWOT.
For the Marketing Mix, you need to describe the main features of the 7Ps as they apply to the case study and your marketing campaign. E.g. what pricing strategy are you recommending? Any new distribution channels? Product development etc
For Pestle,SWOT and product life cycle which ones do you have to do and which are optional of choice.
None are compulsory - you can choose any two models. Just about every student uses SWOT. Most also do PESTLE, although I think it is better to use product life cycle [Jim]
@@tutor2u-official will the research information be given to us or do we have to do it ourselves.

Do u have to justify the SWOT in part A?
Part B is where you use your SWOT analysis (AF4 - Justification). It is the last part of Activity 1.
@@tutor2u-official thanks very much!
do we have to use all the 7'ps or can we use the 4p method with expanded answers???
Expanded / detail on the 4Ps is most important. Refer to the other 3PS if you can, even if only briefly
POLITICAL INTERFERANCE
What notes do we bring into the exam?
You can bring in your two-sides of A4 notes + an annotated copy of the Research Pack with any notes on it that you have added. These will need to be checked by the exams office to ensure you have not included any pre-prepared answers / marketing plans etc
@@tutor2u-official I have asked my teacher and sadly she said no because it was cheating. I really doubt that is because they are no answers
can you do pest instead of pestle
not really - the model is PESTLE for this unit. Another good reason to use the product life cycle - much easier and less to write!
