Many people mocked the idea of a talking mongoose, including a young man named Arthur Morrison. But when he stayed the night there in March 1932, he heard things that changed his mind completely...
This film was made by Culture Vannin in June 2020 in the Isle of Man.

Excellent high-pitched Gef voice there James - sounds just right!
I have thought much about Gef as we had back in the 1970's a Poltergeist in our home.
I don't think Geff was a Poltergeist as he was too sociable and human where the Poltergeist
is usually inhuman and destructive. Geff was clearly once human but how he kept a Mongoose body alive
up to 1934 some 82 years is a mystery (1852 - 1934).
Geff clearly was there for companionship and his human ways made him wish to go into town
and be interested in the human world. How Geff got himself in a bad spiritual state is hard to tell but hopefully
he has worked things out with God and is not Earthbound any more.
Why do you want him to not be earthbound? I wanna be friends with that mongoose lol. Any info on him from after 2010

This story scared the crap out of me as a child in the 80's. One night we had a possum in the ceiling. I lived in pure terror.
I am not into nutty cat-lady stuff... but I once worked at a research facility where there was an old cat that was truly 100% telepathic. Even a new postman came in to deliver the mail to reception and I was there when he exclaimed that the cat had spoken to him. He left quickly. The cat became my companion at work, but not exclusively. He used to sit and stare at people until he got eye contact and then people heard his mind-voice. He essentially was a life-spark that had decided to take a lifetime-holiday as a cat. He was also a little prophetic in his communication. He was old and died at work and so I buried him in the woods. He actually thanked me and said goodbye and that he would come back as a human next time. Over 300 people knew the cat and most accepted his telepathy as a phenomenon.

The family left and some guy name Graham bought the land, allegedly shot a Mongoose and claimed it to be Gef. Then he just disappeared
probably released when the house was destroyed or attached to another animal

Thanks mate. I was listening to Jim Moons podcast about Gef and it’s great to see the place this looney lovely very unlikely story happened.
And this is not a mongoose at all, this is a representative of the world of the "other side" - "Sitra Ahra", if in a simple way. Moreover, it is quite highly developed and possessing, obviously, a soul similar to a person. Moreover, he has an opposition of the first finger to the rest on the upper limb - only a person has such an adaptation to labor activity.
