I felt like the Maxell tape guy sitting in a chair being blown away by the sound coming out of the speaker….at 8 years old in a movie theater. It has been my faysong since I was 8….I am 60 now….EVERY time I hear it, it moves my soul and I get chills. I’ve heard a lot of music…this song changed the of a little girl musically…
The Beatles = Paul( The most talented by far). Talking only about music the better themes of The Beatles are always of him. Obviously like person or human being each one have your juice and is respetable. I am only talking about music
I really think that song influenced many bands from the 70's, including Queen. I could totally see Brian May playing the guitar solo in the end, and Freddie singing that melody going from romantic to heavy rock with strings. This is amazing.
@@lilcocacola They wanted someone else to sing it and Paul insisted that since it was his song they let him sing it. They could have chosen to pass, so yes choice.
Paul McCartney in my opinion is one of the greatest song writers of the 20th century. A truly gifted artist who will go down in history along side the great composers. ❤
This is my absolute favorite song ever! I'm retired now but, when I was working I ALWAYS gave the other fellows Hell! Because I was their greatest employee so I was hated and envied so they were always trying to get me fired! Well I retired at an early age of 57 and they are ALL going to work til they are 90 years old!😂...and the company actually asked to stay but, I said, No, thank you, very much!" Now I am an extremely happy, retired millionaire....smiling every day especially whenever I go to the bank!❤
The tempo changes and various “textures“ to this song are amazing. As good as John was when I hear this it becomes clear to me who the greater artist was

Back when Linda was still with us. I know that she had limited musical talent, but it's sweet they toured together. ...and yes, this is just a great song. Back when fog and strobe lights were still concert special effects!
I'm 44. This song is older than me. I remember hearing this song when I was 9 and it blew my mind. I have no idea what 'The Beatles' is. Didn't know Paul was a part of it. 50 years later, The Beatles music and the solo efforts from the four still blows my mind.
Gave me goosebumps...I saw that concert as a young girl Beatle freak (who also loved Wings and THAT song) with a big crush on Paul. One of my best memories.
Paul and Linda McCartney are just a power couple 🎉🎉. They balanced each other perfectly 🎉🎉. Their music 🎶 🎵 told their story of their love, friendship, and their ability to make quality music 🎶 🎵 and still raise a family that's epic and amazing 🎉🎉
I saw this tour at the Kingdome in Seattle in 76 and saw McCartney there again in 91 with Linda.. Two of my all time greatest concerts ever and I have been to well over 100! 😎
As an 11 year old kid I couldn't wait for the next James Bond movie to come out and I remember this one above all because it was such a perfect movie for me at that age and because this is the best James Bond theme song ever. I remember it so vividly, watching the movie drinking a coke through a piece of red licorice that I decided to use as a straw because you know that's what 11 year old kids did back then.
Apparently, years back, when G n R's did a cover of it Paul's young son was round the house with some of his mates. One of them said to Paul - "You want to check out this song by Guns & Roses called *"Live & Let Die,"* it's really good!" - True story as told by the man himself. 👍
Wings Greatest, I'm going to take it to the grave with me.. So near and dear to my heart.. I will never be alone in the afterlife... With a little luck, some silly love songs, and always on the run, I'm going to make this whole damm thing work out.. With Wings Greatest of course... Thank you Linda... Thank you Paul...
I remember going to the drive in when I was a young child to see the James Bond movie Live and Let Die with this song opening. At my age, the introduction with the song was creepy.
I was on embarkation leave with my civvy mate Steve during July 73 in North Devon and this song was always on the jukebox at the Fairway Buoy in Westward Ho! It was buzzing there and we had a great time. The Fairway Buoy is still an attraction I’m glad to say.
@@andyh4870 first went there on school summer camp in 66. Returned on many occasions. Sadly it has lost some of its magic due to inappropriate development. They call it progress! I still go there anyway.

the best
Indeed
Paul was a class above John and George live.
Around now, he's still untouchable. Legend.
Still is
Paul McCartney, you're a genius.
Absolutely 100% correct !
45 years and counting, yet it still sounds actual.
Ikr, I saw him perform this in 2004-ish and I thought it was one of his recent works.
Although it's good to hear the 1976 live version vs the 2020's one. He's still touring, right?

Not sure of that but it certainly was entertaining! Especially on this tour!❤️

I love this choice for a Bond theme song! It never gets old. It sounds like the origin of Paul's later symphonies. So cool!
choice? it was written for the movie
