- SOME AUSTRALIAN FRIENDS VISITED OUR BEACH HOME FOR A NIGHT!
In this beach home life vlog, I receive a special box from Basilan! When I left the island Province a few months ago, I also left money to buy local products and have them sent to our place. Well, so happy they arrived! Especially my Yakan hand woven pants!! After having fun looking at our box from Basilan, we prepare an evening meal and have a few beers with our friends from Australia, Emma and Shannon! It was so nice hanging out as a barkada and having people over to our beach home to talk about life and just enjoy Philippines coastal life!
Cateel Davao Oriental is an awesome place...

You folks are living in a paradise on earth with less stress, fresh air, and just a stone's throw away from the ocean.
That paasa food cover is so relatable. Specially when you're super hungry and excited to see what's the food inside. 😅
Great seeing the roosters so relaxed and thinking that they run the lot. LOL. Lovely seeing the pups with the chickens. And seeing chickens in the trees still blows my mind. Lovely vibes at the homestead with friends and visitors. And John-Dee is a serious chef. Good times everybody!!!!

Making charcoals is like second nature esp when you live in the province. I can’t wait to retire there, when I cook my food using wood and/or charcoal, when I grow my own chickens & plants for food. Basic things & simple life!

The fruit tray is made of what we call in E. Samar as "nito" it grows in the wild.
It's a joy to see pets free to roam around. Sad to say that some are tied up in the corner of their houses only for the purpose of having them bark as a security.

They deliver a mats and a pants or pajamas that looked like a native clothing attire 👖
And there is a dried fish which is from Daanbantayan Cebu or Dagupan or Basilan 🐟🐠
It really stinks when you cook it on the air conditioned room 🐟🐠😧
And the rooster is interrupting you while you were talking 🐔🐓
And Jondi is cooking some balbakwa which is like a kare kare a beef stew with a peanut butter or peanut sauce or peanut paste on it 🥩🥘🥜🥜🥜
And Jondi is putting some tomatoes and onions on it 🍅🍅🍅🧅🧅🧅
And the chickens are climbing together on the tree 🐔🐔🐔🐓🐓🐓🌳
It reminded me of a chicken that flew on the roof on our neighbor's house in Manolo Fortich Bukidnon 🐔🐓🏠
The Australians had some topical ointment from Thailand it is made from eucalyptus oil or gum tree oil it is for muscle aches and headaches 🌳🍶
And they knew what is spoon or fork in tagalog or bisaya it is kutsara for spoon and tinidor for fork 🥄🍽
