Radical RXC driven by Justin Bieber's chubby double - fastest thing I've ever been in!

- I've been in some fast cars and raced even faster bikes, but nothing prepared me for this monstrous Radical at the REP track day!
If you think you know fast, then you really need to get out in one of these. With a decent driver, it'll blow you away - and that's coming from someone used to 1000+bhp supercars and racing Superbikes!
Big shout out to "Justin Bieber's Chubby Double", aka Paul Curran, for the hot laps in his awesome Radical.
This one's worth watching purely for my reaction when we finish the track session!

Just awesome, love the pure mechanical whine of the diff, gearbox, that engine, and the screams of Ricky at the end was unexpected

The outright speed wasn’t anywhere near my R8 or my bike, but the braking zones and minimum apex speeds were another level!

Lambo would still loose. FYI a RXC lapped nearly 2” faster than a Ferrari FXX-K in Monza (which is a sheer power circuit).

I had the privilege of spending a day with Radical at Silverstone and drove the SR1 and SR3 several times and had a few passenger laps in a RXC.
The RXC accelerated more like my Fireblade but as you say the downforce enhanced grip is on another level to a bike.
The SR1 and SR3 are also easy to drive and by my second stint at a circuit I’d never driven At before I was overtaking all of the fastest road cars there simply because the corner speed and braking distances are incredible.
They are amazing machines but running costs reflect their race car roots. Eg engine rebuilds are recommended every 40 hours on the SR3

Yeah I agree, the running costs put them up there with outright GT3 cars and if they are going to set me back that much to run….I’d just stick to my superbike for fast thrills!

Yeah that’s the most impressive part! Bikes are outright faster but the apex speed this has!!
I just wish Radical RCXs were a little, ok- a lot more roomier. I' 6'5" with a size 17 race seat, 36" inseams in the legs, 36" inseams arms, and I need maybe 4 more inches in leg room, and maybe 4" in height... Maybe sometime Radical will make another size, but I absolutely love this car! It's so nice
I just looked at your pfp and considering you can actually see your full head come out of the R3 I think you’re in the minority. The RXC is really nice for me, I am 6’1 with maybe an inch or two of room with my helmet, and leg room is fine as well. Maybe you could talk with radical and see if they could make the pedals a little further and dip the seat down into the frame more for you. It’s honestly such a fun driving car, once you do get it completely dialed in.
Looks like a right piece of kit, think I might get one to pop to the shops in 🤣

Yes I have been in one and it resets all the parameters as you realise how hopeless making a road car faster is. It isn't just the later braking but how fast the speed in the corners are.

How can it be the fastest thing you’ve been in or on the super bikes are doing 1.09 with extra chicane?
Because with a “driver” and new tyres these do 1:03’s round Combe!
No superbike can do quarry and Avon rise like this…..

When the TT bikes used to test there they would do 1:04’s.
So my BMW is 165mph at Folly but we have to brake before Avon Rise.
The Radical was 140mph at Folly (only has 450bhp) and be flat out over Avon Rise, then brake at the left kerb before Quarry.
Just a different level when you have that much grip.
They can just carry way more corner speed than a bike…..
Even my R8 carries 15mph more through old paddock than my bike.
Knowing Ricky as well as i do that thing must be fast for him to be impressed........fuck me lol
