Love this amp, had it for a year now. I like the Supro Dual Tone better for humbuckers personally. This is a thick sounding amp and the Dual Tone is a bit thinner and prettier sounding. I love them both and possibly my favorite amps in 40 years of playing. Put the Supro Overdrive in front of them and it's truly great!
Love hearing from real players who actually have used the gear! Thanks for the comment- we’re digging their stuff and have another Supro demo episode coming out soon! Stay tuned!
Supro's current amps have a VERY distinct tone. I've found it almost impossible to capture this tone with a mic. I've found Amplitube's Supro amp emulator to be a better alternative( some freaking how ha 🤷♂️)
Great demo, love the amp and have always thought about getting one. How loud is this compared to a 68 Princeton reverb. I have been playing the Princeton for a bit and have considered adding the supro just worried the 25 watts may be to loud to get to the sweet spot on the amp.
Hey thanks! Glad you found it to be helpful. I haven’t owned a Princeton, but I can tell you that this particular Supro is very L O U D for 25 watts. However it does come in a head version that has a master volume on it. I will tell you though, this is one of the most responsive amps I’ve ever played. Supro has several other great models that are quieter, but if you like the tone of this one, it’s a one of a kind.
All good- yeah everyone has their own sweet spot when it comes to tone. Super subjective for sure! I dig that it’s got a flatter eq so it can cover some different ground as a pedal platform but I can get down with a mid scooped amp too!
I have this and had a 5E3 Tweed. They do sound very similar in tone. The Tweed broke up a little earlier because of the lower wattage. The Supro has a little bit more headroom. I use a Weber Mass attenuator with it. I love using a Les Pail Jr. into this thing. It loves P90 pickups.

Great demo,. I'm sold...
Fantastic! Thanks for watching.
Anyone know the name of the piece at about 9 minutes in please?
Awesome demo , great amp. I`ve been looking for an amp that doesn`t need pedals for classic rock tones.I now want one. Thanks for the demo
Well thanks! This is definitely an amp that covers that territory. It is loud to get to those tones though, so be warned!
Sounds awesome man need to hit the front end with an ep-3
Thanks! What's an ep-3?

Considering trading for this amp. Can I safely use my Captor X 16 ohm as an attenuator or headphones (load box). Nice review. Thanks!

Interesting! What mics are you using? Also live or studio just curious.

Check out the supr 1605r if you are worried about volume.
We are demo-ing that one next! I will say the onboard gain is much lower than what the black magick puts out. Both great pedal platforms.
I love that everyone plays Led Zeppelin through this, it’s supposed to be a Zepplin amp, and it sounds nothing like Led Zeppelin.
sound flat to me which isn't all bad I just prefer a blackface type scoop- sounds like a tweed amp.

@@kurtc2894 Sorry, I don't know the answer for that. Supro customer service might advise you on that.
