    Love Supro amps and own the Royal Reverb. Really the only gripe I would have is the dots on the knobs are hard to see on a gig

      How would you say the black magick compares to the Royal? been tryin to find a video comparison

    • @jayfoster
      @jayfoster 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Royal Reverb is louder for sure at 35/45/60 watts. The two 10" speakers make for a really focused sound with a tighter low end. On the 35 watt setting the break up is similar to the break up on the Black Magic but there's no master volume on the RR so you have to crank it to about 1 o'clock(which is pretty damn loud). The tremolo on the Royal Reverb varies based on the wattage settings, more choppy and pronounced on the 60 watt setting. Tons of headroom on the RR so you can get some really spanky and sparkly cleans. Hope that helps. I would still recommend playing through one if you get a chance.

      Thanks, saw some videos but couldn't get to play it in a store, let alone compare side by side.. I did test the black magick and I ended up buying this Reverb version. Needless to say I am very happy with my decision, I am loving the sounds it makes with my Telecaster. I dont need it to be louder, I will gig on medium sized bars, most likely. This being said, I find it to be quite loud myself, I think it can handle any gig. Thanks for the reply!

    I would like to know by the way, great demo, but can you tell me is the master volume a headroom to Bedroom? Does it preserve the gain staging or sound that you’ve obtained when you reduce the volume on the master or does it tear the tone up I guess what I’m saying is can you work this at a bedroom volume. Thanks guys really appreciate all your demos and look forward to hearing back from you trying to think about buying the samp, but I want a universal lamp instead of having to have two or three, I have a lot of large heads just want something small for these local gigs. Thanks. 9:30

    Really love this app I have truly been trying to decide whether to spend $1600 on this sample or a little more than that with a head and combo or to truly go all the way and buy the Sun dragon hand wired amplifier the true amplifier that Jimmy page created Led Zeppelin one on they are selling the unsigned models New from sun dragon for about $3500 and it is certainly true to spec. Sue pro certainly has a great recipe here and I think an improvement over the 1695T adding the reverb and master volume are great accents to this product. My only question is for the price is the build quality they’re super pro it looks like uses MDF instead of birch plywood, and this doesn’t appear to be a hand wired amp. How thick is the circuitboard and what is the true quality of the inside build how long will the sand last if I start digging it on a regular basis, how well will it hold up to the road is what I am truly wondering using it just in bars 3 to 4 nights a week I just want to know is it worth the investment, if you have any opinions, I would love to hear them. Thank you love the demo great work great playing and like I said a great sound. I’m surprised that the speaker is so good. I thought that it might need to be improved with the cream back but definitely not the BT 12 seems to fit it. Thank you again for taking the time to read my comments and answer my questions. 10:22 10:35

      Avoid the Supro.The 68 delivers in spades, puts a smile on your face and has a great reverb. The Supro results in you always searching for a great tone and is a little flat by comparison. and the reverb on my unit is dismal.

      I use the Audio-Technica AT4081 Ribbon Mic. It's used on pretty much every guitar gear based video that we shoot. Hit us up on chat at www.nstuffmusic.com and we can set you up with a killer price and free shipping...

    Great amps. But one thing I noticed on Supro amps with a real tank reverb (no digital) is that it's behind" the guitar. It does not mix with your notes, but creates a kind of wall of reverb in the background. Which is not what I prefer. Don't expect it to blend with your notes. And that is with every Supro Reverbs I've tried.

    Player would make any amp sound awesome and make you have to have it. I would love to have the amp, but I am afraid it is not a bedroom players amp. Love the sound, just wish it had a attenuator like Tone King.

    That,s the jimmie page amp ,,,,kind of. I,d rock it!!Sounds great but it has pcb,s. I,d prefer a hand wired unit with ceramic disc caps to get that vintage sound. If i had it i,d get a 2x 10 cab to utilize it the wsy it was originally.

      Russell E Simonetta Jimmy Page changed his to a 1/12. He took the two tens out.

    • @USMarine75
      @USMarine75 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Page replaced speakers with a single 12 that was the whole point. And a P2P hand wired amp with upgraded components would be closer to $3k. So not this amp at all lol.

    Could have been a useful demo but you ruined it by using boosters/pedals in conjunction. It's totally deceptive and muddies your evaluation with the amp on it's own merits. No EP boosters or fuzz - give me what the amp can do. Save the pedals for a separate video or the end.

    My only complaint about all of the Supro Amps is that they do not look ready for bouncing around. They are too pretty. A few years of gigging they will look awful. They need to fix this.
