    The reason the AIF didn’t move to Battle Dress earlier is we didn’t have the same wool rationing. However, the bottom pockets were change “by others” because the army had to ration

    5:19 "N. 195" is the manufacturer code, the N standing for the state of New South Wales and 195 for the factory code.
    8:52 "V. 162" the V standing for the state of Victoria.
    There are codes for all the states, V, Q and N being the most common the rare ones to my knowledge are w and t.
    These coding methods started around 1942 (to protect industries from being targeted from attack I'd assume)
    P.S. nice to see the appropriate pre 1960 shoulder titles/flashes and great video in general.
