From giving auditions in the 80s to the media coverage that made a wrong image of her, leading to a lull, financial struggles and thoughts of leaving this career, the actress revisits it all. She opens up on the challenges of being a single mother to daughter Masaba Gupta, her apprehensions of marrying Vivek Mehra and why she eventually said yes to him. Neena also talks about the turning point in her career, the star system in Bollywood, paving a new way for veteran actresses in the industry and the story behind her infamous Instagram post in 2017 where she asked for work. Such an honest and talented actor. I’ve always enjoyed watching her acting. She can make any character seem so real that she almost defines that character. Her acting skills have been under-utilised but I’m so glad now to see her in comedy as also in serious, emotive roles.

I totally identify with Neena where her daughter is concerned. Being of the same age, for one our thoughts are similar in general. I lost my husband to sudden death years ago and later met my second life partner but committed on the basis of my daughter feeling safe and secure. She was my priority then and still is, even at age 39.

My favourite actress from 1980s,i always admired Nena Ji, her behaviours , her style of talking, her soft yet rigid voice,her natural acting.
Such an awesome interview. I loved that she spoke in Hindi and not in English like nakli actors of today.
She seems like such a sensitive and loving person. A girl next door. She was capable of much more, maybe did not get enough roles to show her full talent.

Dev Anand was a superstar of 50s and 60s ,so is Waheeda Rahman.Dharmendra was a superstar of the 60s and 70s .Neenah is saying all these people are her favourite superstars from 80s and 90s.The song ' main tere pyar mein Sara Alam ' is from the film Dil ek Mandir .It was released in 1963 ,not eighties and nineties.Bell bottoms were trendy in 70s not 80s and 90s.Buffaunt was trendy in the mid 60s ,not 80s and 90s.

She is the first open person in India who had a child out of marriage which is still considered very bad in India and Pakistan.The main reason people take you as a public property when you have lusty relations with men of any cast or race.The talent cannot mask her that mistake even she considers her self to bhi right.Wrong is always wrong and Right is always right.This trend in most Indian actress now just after white men but still huge cultural and social barriers.

To be honest I have watched u complaining that marriage was at cards with Amol Palekar who was shy on screen but popular with sexy beautiful ladies at the 80's but u caught him red handed with a or 2 in his apartment in Mumbai etc u rushed out never meet again but don't worry some times things are framed on heartthrob talented Amol Palekar and please contact a private eye ... thanks 👍🏻
