There isn't any need to go more than 2. If you need more iridium, it's not rate that you need: it's storage. Or, if for some reason you wanted to refill a large amount of iridium quickly, that won't be on everything, but one specific thing. For that, I recommend getting more distributor caps than getting 9 distributors. Hope this helps :)
Well, I built quite a few buildings, and I dont know how I can really explain them all without hitting cap, but er... sure I guess xD Pumps have a low set up cost, unlike going straight for a seabase. This means that I can get a seabase up faster, and thus go on the offensive faster. The fabricators were built so that they could reach the ocean. The reservoir was 2 sided. One aspect is storage, second aspect is defense. 4 keeps and a block go to height limit. Building the keep on the lower side of the third keep meant that I would be 0.8 studs off from height limit, which is nice enough for arty fighting, even though I didn't plan on it from the start. Shields have a very fast, effectively, healing rate I guess. They gain max health over time, so more shields =more max health. Bores have the longest range, thus using these meant once I had the upper hand, I could just keep on pushing.
I dont know why but i'm really good at predicting what people will do, and then i dont know how to counter that thing. This helped a bit, also i noticed you build pipes faster than they load on my PC. Also, i havent ever noticed how slow i am at building, even if i have a full plan in my head.
If you want to practice building fast, and planning out actions in your head, i would recommend changing playstyles to a fabricator barge-oriented style for a few matches. I got faster by trying to make sure the fabricators never stop building, and it kind of became muscle memory XD I will be releasing a video about this soon, and hopefully it will give you ideas on how to improve on build speed :)
@@TachyonAnnihilatorThanks, although i would have to patch up my pc a bit. My lil bro got on my computer, installed something, and now i dont have a graphics card so eclipsis wont run even at 1 graphics bar xD
If you're talking about distributors on the main bridge, typically one doesn't need to use 4-way due to the way in which area is covered by the previous set of bores. It's true though that there is always a possibility of needing to fall back, and thus you're right.... But it depends on how fluid the game feels. For me in that match, due to continuously applying pressure and guiding pigowl after his original mistake, I guessed pigowl wouldn't try anything high-risk and cause me to fall back. Good question though :)
can you explain every item in the orbital shop like when I tried to use a laser strike on an enemy base it wouldn't work and it only could shoot the space next to the shield but not on the shield
Laserstrike's range has been nerfed recently, so that's certainly an issue with striking now. You have to be reaaaaally close. Before laserstrikes out ranged PDs, nowadays, not so much. I'll write a brief explanation here for now; when my sleep gets better, I can get the videos finished. LS (Laserstrike): A point-click consumable that fires six beams from orbit down on a location. The beams impact at a random angle but come from above in a 45-degree cone. Each strike deals 300dmg to shields (iirc) for a total of 1800dmg, almost an entire OS of health. OS: An orbital shield is a shield from orbit that isn't blocked by structures above it (unlike laser strikes). Cast it to spawn a shield of 2000hp, which decays over time. (Regular shields have 3000hp for context.) Orbital Fabricator: Think of having five fabs that follow your player around. They can build (I think) a maximum of 2k iridium. The cool trick with these is to use one and then get a second to store 4k iridium on your player. Pretty snazzy. Hopefully, that covers it; for now, feel free to ask any questions anywhere, and ill do my best to answer them! If you want to make sure my numbers are correct, check the wiki. OriginalCows updates that religiously xD Hf :)
Time efficiency. If I'm able to build a relatively unlimited number of submercibles in a fabricators area, versus 5 in a fab area, I want to go with the one which requires the least amount of switching around, aka, the unlimited version, as the time it takes to expand pumps and pipe it all is so large compared to two submercibles side by side, that it isn't worth the iridium efficiency That probably came out as a bag of words so make whatever you will of it xD
Spacing them out is far better than changing size, as moving the location means it still covers the same area, just a *different* area, versus changing size leads to a change in how much they can cover, as well as a different area. so in my opinion, its a double loss changing the size. The only downside, is that someone with a good aim will fire the cruises where the shields pass one another, still giving a weakness. As such, its more so personal preference, but I change locations rather than size just because I like to have backup shield coverage, even with a small amount of increased risk.
hey tachyon i have a few questions :) 1. How do you defend against a bore barge with turrets and stuff like that (i tried ussing rocket launcher but he will just move when he sees them so it doesnt work :/ ) 2. How do u defend a cruise missle spam from far away
To defend cruise spam just spam walls/reservoirs on where the cruises seem to be hitting, for this to work you must have higher power than your opponent, after spam cruises yourself!
As @nebollous said, you can build structures in the way of the cruises. Once you have enough in the way, you can cruise from behind the wall, down the line-of-sight of the enemy, and attack their cruise station. Nothing can be built in the way as it will block yours AND the enemy cruise fire. Super effective. Another thing to do is once you have enough in the way, such as 4-5 reses, you could try laserstriking their cruise spam. When it comes to bore barges, the best thing to do is not attack from their sight. They have a huge weakness which is the focus required to use them. Constantly moving, aiming, etc. If you attack from out of sight, its a pretty easy kill. If they're using transcievers for whatever reason, try to use a cruise missile from up close. a direct hit to an anchor can result in killing it. Pretty difficult to pull off, especially if there's enemy PDs, but it's my favourite way, and i find its the most sure-fire way to oof them. Counter-damage is always a possibility too. If they're attacking from one way, you could counter-attack from another avennue, which will lead to mutual destruction. It's not always the best, but never write counter-attacking off. Have fun playing! :D
