11 years later, I find this. These were always my favorite cookies at Christmas. Then they disappeared. Couldn't find them. Discovered Nabisco discontinued them. I was so disappointed. You've fixed this issue for me!!!!!!!!! I'll be in the kitchen if you need me.
Thank you Maty Ann. These "mezza luna" cookies look fabulous. I have all the ingredients and will make them this afternoon. Yay! Thank you for sharing your delicious recipes. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family. God's blessings to all .
Why am I just getting this now? OK, instead of rolling each piece of dough, I make a log, a very long log and flatten it out somewhat. Then take a small drinking glass, and use the glass edge and press into the dough to make your own crescents.Go up the long about a half inch or so, and after each press, pick up the dough, and place it on the cookie sheet. I hope you imagine what I am trying to convey.
Quite a great idea.. loooove making these and hopefully this is as good as the recipe I used years ago, but lost. Still, whatever I do make, I will surely use this little trick because the rolling out is that toughest part. Can't wait to try them 😊
