I'll be honest wallahi. It is very difficult, Alhamdullilah I am trying and I know I could do better may Allah help me, been here 9 months. Its true what the brother said to not make the Hijrah intention but to make the intention to just live amongst Muslims and to not see the prevalence of Shirk and to pray in the Masjid 5 times.
Sometimes I am despondent about the reality of the Muslim land I live (my land of origin) with regards to its development but there is a link between development and liberalism so I cannot have my cake and eat it, I left liberalism but want the comforts it comes with (technological advancement).
Finally, the family planning issue is so true and why I chose to marry abroad, purely out of pragmatism, she doesn't need to adapt but instead will help me adapt and will inshaallah raise my children in that land. Alhamdullilah.
I honestly oscillate between hope & despair when I think about my personal Hijrah, but that's when Tawakkal in Allah comes in and patience... so much patience.
