I find a lot of “Salafi” or “practising” sisters nowadays are OBSESSED with Hijrah. They expect their spouse to either be on the path of making Hijrah, or have solid plans for it. Ask yourself what man do you Know under let’s say 35 that has made Hijrah in your inner circle? It’s not as easy as they sisters think. What happened to marrying someone who has an interest or desire to possibly make Hijrah if Allah wills and striving together for it after marriage, for marriage brings barakah after all. Instead they expect to be able to pack up and leave shortly after the Walimah. Wallahi these sisters are unrealistic. And they should ask themselves what are they bringing to the table? Are they the ones who are doing anything to make Hijrah, do they have experience/degrees that will make it easy. Or do they think as long as I serve my husband that’s all that’s needed.
