@@ramonafahrni5701 ciao Ramona! I am doing great except the heat keeps holding on here in Phoenix. Today is supposed to have a high temperature of 106°F (41°C).😱 How are you doing?
I liked everything about the video, but with one exception. The way they hold the reins is absolutely ridiculous. Kids ride merry-go-round horses that way, not professional riders. The Arabian Show Horse council needs to go back and redo their rules on how riders hold their reins. Or is this a trend that's been allowed to go on. Shouldn't matter if riding bitless or with bits. A rider's horse could spook and the rider would never be able to react quick enough to safely get their horse under control
@@lisaphillips7221 yes, it's only with the younger horses that they hold the reins that way. It just seems like it wouldn't have to be quite so exaggerated.
Arabians are spectacular. I traveled and rode a very special Arabian for years. I cannot imagine riding any Arabian partner in this artificial western pleasure fashion. What an embarrassment.
@@MagnificentHorses Yes, I see that that is the current trend. But that doesn't necessarily make it agreeable. Is it agreeable to the horses? I guess that that is difficult to know. Thank you so much for your reply and for the videos that you post.
@@Monardadidyma-g5q right, I didn't mean the current trend makes it more agreeable because I'm with you on how you feel about it. Anyway, you're welcome for the videos and I am glad you enjoy them!
@@loripieper3730 I appreciate your concern for the horses but I can assure you it's not abuse. I asked a horse chiropractor about that once and she said it does not hurt them. I'm also looking at a screenshot right now from my next video of a stallion holding his head exactly in that position. I wish I could share pictures in the comments on TH-cam. And stallions in the wild hold their heads like that all the time. They clearly would not do that if it was painful.
What a wonderful way to start the weekend 🤩 I picked the bay 🐴 as one of the blue ribbons but that was it! So many beautiful horses in this class 🌹
@@sarahmarks7082 thanks Sarah, and I'm glad I was able to help get your weekend off to a great start!
The ladies have it.
Ciao! How are you?

@@MagnificentHorses It's cool here in October, but it's going to be cold soon. Hugs!
There is nothing as fine and true as the Arabian
@@brooklyn5streetsmart amen to that!
The horses are beautiful, but the way the riders hold their reins looks very odd to me.
@@jmmarshall5492 yeah, I know what you mean.😒
is there even ONE rider, riding his horse not behind the vertical? Poor horses... 😖
@@xXnashitaXx no, and you will probably never see one because this is how everyone rides in both the western and English pleasure classes.

What is going on with the exaggerated handling of the reins? It's ridiculous! Gads I hate FADS.

Abuse!!! Cruel to make a horse have such an unnatural head carriage! Makes me so sad for those magnificent horses
