I like to have my strongest ships run radar in the front of the formation, and spread the rest of the ships out wide enough to cover the radar ship. Seems to work a lot, but hard to tell what the AI does and doesn't know about.
GUI needs to be improved instead of ship data presented as text in two rows along the bottom (non intuitive) perhaps we could get a top-down graphical representation (more intuitive) kinda like real world : )

"Balancing" Sonar bouys? I thought you want your game being authentic?
I hope he is wrong. But I can imagine it might be like that in RL.
@@vojtechvacek4783 Sonar hears all echo in the water. Some better than others. But basically surface-ships can be heard by sonar as well.
@@colemcintyre2169sonar doesn’t “hear” hydro phones do.
EMCON is a good strategy only if your fleet is inferior than the enemy, otherwise radars should always stay active
