KAYALI VANILLA ROYALE SUGARED PATCHOULI 64 is a limited edition perfume. I bought mine at Sephora. As of right now, this perfume is in stock at Sephora US.
All of my thoughts and opinions are my own.

Im on the fence. The dry down is where the magic is. My issue is getting to the dry down not being a patchouli fan.
Yes the patchouli is strong to my nose as well. The dry down in gorgeous, I agree!

I feel like they should have advertised this perfume as it’s owe fragrance instead of using the hype behind Vanilla 28 to push this fragrance because they smell nothing a like.
I agree they definitely are two different perfumes for sure.
In the dry down, they smell so alike to my nose 😅

I feel the same way. Vanilla 28 is their best selling scent and I feel it was marketed that way. I don’t get get anything sweet or similar to Vanilla 28 at all with this scent

Love the review. ❤. I personally purchased this for myself, Im a man who loves to wear fragrances that will get compliments from the ladies as well as to my own personal liking. Coming in the mail tomorrow. Im a confident guy who knows how to rock this confidently. Love your honest opinion and in depth review on this. When I wear fragrances like Aventus, Sauvage Elixir & all the manly fragrances, I tend to get compliments from mostly the fellas. But when I wear some fragrances generally worn by the ladies, like Baccarat Rouge & Le Labo Another 13, Unique’E Luxury Hidden Accords & Kilian Princess, the compliments I get from all my female coworkers / customers, is what makes me see that it’s worth it. I personally love this fragrance. I smell that brown sugar from 28 but this is a creamy custard like vanilla. I get that rich rum too, it's beautiful. This has depth from that oud (very quiet) and chocolate like patchouli, slightly earthy. I don't even like patchouli like that, but it is stunning in this blend! 😍

I get chocolate (75% cacao type) too, that it kinda reminded me to Kilian Black Phantom
I’m looking forward to this one! I might blind buy a 50ml bottle only because I like all of the fragrances this is being compared to. I have heard people mention Angel which is one of my faves, I love Invite only and the vanilla patchouli note sounds similar to Heretic Dirty Vanilla or Xerjoff Ivory Route. Can’t wait!!!!

I wish I would have seen your review before buying! I bought a full bottle because everyone gassed it up but I think it’s only 50ml worthy for me. I don’t like the initial spray at all but the dry down is keeping me from sending it back. Great review! Subscribed :)

This was a great review! I appreciate the fact that you purchased your own bottle, too. Mine came in the mail today and it is so good! I do like rum, patchouli, oud, and leather, though. Smells like niche, for a designer price.

But there are also items I like, but don’t love. You can still explain them without having to love them. As long as you say why it’s not for you, for those that share our tastes. I’ve learned over the years what I dislike today, I may love in a year.

This was a great review! I agree with everything you said from the beginning to the end. Now that I have mine I see why she made it limited edition - it is def one that is polarizing. It’s interesting to me, I pick up on the rum in the opening, but mixed with all of the notes, it comes across as milk chocolate to me 🤷🏾♀️ and dries down to something similar to Vanilla 28. I will say it doesn’t come off as beast mode to me, for some reason my experience has been that it stays closer to my skin after the opening. I absolutely love it and love how Mona challenges some of our noses. I hope she keeps it up despite negative reviews. Thanks for your review!

I don’t live near a store so I had not been able to smell any Kayali fragrances until recently when they started offering samples. This fragrance is delicious! I generally don’t like patchouli or oud, but Kayali blends those notes SO smoothly that I can enjoy them. I’m in my 40’s and my niece is in her early twenties, and we both love this one (she’s not a patchouli lover either). The sweetness and that rum just set this off. Really good! 👌🏻

The most indepth review of the new Kayali Vanilla Royale. Well done! I ordered a 10ml one after trying it in store and you are right it is not a safe blind buy. Something you should experience for quite a bit to actually know if it's a like or a love.

Hi Jax, I have just tried this in the department shop and I was blown away. I feel the same way about oud, leather and patchuli as you but this is such a georgeous and sexy fregrance. I tested it on my skin and could not stop smelling it during the day. I went back and bought it because it is totally unique in my collection. You are right this is definitely not a blind buy. Great review. You described exactly as it is (at least for my nose :D )

I too didn’t detect any Oud whatsoever….
In the beginning a strong scent of Rum, then a huge dose of green Patchouli. But… there is some kind of medicinal, fabric plaster / band aid odour 🤷🏾♀️
I then get the vanilla and crème brûlée fighting to come through but are drowned out by the Patchouli, medicinal note and the leather 🤦🏾♀️
Don’t dislike it but I just feel the fragrance is fighting against itself.. But! I will let it sit and retest it….

Best review I have seen so far. I love this perfume as well, but I agree, it is not for everyone. Everyone seems to be picking up on different notes. I don't get oud either. I just get rum, patchouli and vanilla. I do get a slight leather as well, but I agree it is more in the background. Thanks for this honest review!

Same here! I get rum, vanilla and patchouli the most (and in that order). Haven’t had a chance to give it a full wear yet, but the couple times I tested it for a few hours on my wrist I really enjoyed it.

I am 100% OBSESSED with Vanilla Royale. I blind bought and it was so worth it. I don’t understand the negative reviews at all. To me the scent is not offensive in any way and is very sweet/sexy. Not masculine whatsoever. The dry down smells just like a stronger version of Vanilla 28 to my nose. I know it’s limited edition so I will be stocking up on more bottles before they’re gone!

Some how they found a way to blend the leather, patchouli and oud so wonderfully where none of them are offensive to me. I am NOT at all a fan of patchouli so I had very low expectations. I was seriously wowed that I found this to be not only wearable but super beautiful and enjoyable to my nose. I don't get much oud either. I think its MUCH better they gave us this....a more complex vanilla and not a stronger Vanilla 28.

I love love this perfume. I think Mona has officially now done a great oud vanilla in this perfume in my opinion. It’s the original Vanilla 28 with an added hit of oud in my opinion. It’s seductive and rich smelling however if you aren’t into oud this is something you should test out before buying. I love oud and therefore this combination of oud and vanilla 28 is very much up my street.
I live in Sydney it’s really hot now.I wear this perfume to the beach 😁And on my skin it’s smell like cream brûlée.I think it’s depends on the skin and weather.I really like it and actually really surprised all bad reviews here in TH-cam.It’s not a beast mood perfume but good longevity.

I think the people saying it’s a stronger Vanilla 48 have been spreading misinformation. The brand even said they didn’t want to make a Vanilla 48 2.0, it’s supposed to whole new fragrance.

Here is my honest opinion...I blind bought this fragrance and I liked it but it's not a love for me for some reasons. First, I don't think it smells unique, this new release actually reminds me of other fragrances that are already in the market. Second, I wish the creme brulèe accord would have been more prominent, it would have definitely made this fragrance more gourmand, yummy, and more aligned to what I was expected. I don't usually like rum in fragrances but here is perfectly balanced and I find it wearable. Overall, I'm fine with my 50ml bottle, I don't need more than that.

I mean people having different opinions is very much human thing right. Just because people happen to see lots of videos of people who love this fragrance doesnt mean its being over sold, thats their opinion. Ultimately we do get influenced but the decision to buy should always be individual based on what you like in fragrance. This is to those saying “over selling”. I looove this scent, like she said its complex therefor the split opinions, i love Kayali as a brand their fragrances are up my ally, subtle, they are not power houses, this is their strongest 👌🏾. Just curious though, you dont like patchouli, oud, leather which are in the fragrance but you got it, imagine if you didnt like the scent after all, it would make sense 😊, but good that you love it.

I've been wearing Vanilla Royale on and off for a couple months and its an absolute love for me too, I do 2 to 3 sprays of Royale and 5 sprays Vanilla 28 and I smell like a rich bad b!tch for hours! It smells expensive and classy, I think most people may have a different opinion, but i love it! I live in Alaska and it just blossoms in the cold weather! Layered with Vanilla 28 its perfect. People wanted a darker stronger version of 28 and to me thats exactly what this is! Amped up Patchouli amped up vanilla and sugar, its gorgeous!

I didn't like this when I tested this on paper. It smelled like dirt so I was thankful that I only got a 2ml decant. That was probably like a month ago or something.
I tried this on my skin 2 weeks ago and immediately bought the 10ml because it smelled so good! I like this one now... 🥰
I think some of the people who received this fragrance were paid because I saw one lady labeled her video paid partnership and she’s the only one that stated she was paid.
I've just received a sample of this one and I think I've just found my signature scent! Right now I'm in a heavenly bubble of natural, rich and bewitching leathery vanilla pods! And I'm a 60 yo alpha male.

I have no offense with PR/sponsorships. If you truly love that brand, have at it and get that money😄 BUT! If someone raves and raves about this new perfume in one video and their next video after is "scents that I'm obsessed with currently" and sugar pathouli 64 is nowhere in sight...I question the hell outta that initial review.
Invite only is the reason I'm hesitant to buy this fragrance (I bought a 50 ML of Invite only). The notes for Invite only seemed amazing but on skin it just didn't work for me. In fact all of their intense perfumes have been fails (for me). I'm going to try the travel size of vanilla royale and fingers crossed I like it.

Omg, all I can smell in this fragrance is the Oud 🤣... which I don't mind. But it is potent... that's so interesting it's coming across differently to you. I get something crystalline sweet in the dry down which I'm assuming is the sugared patchouli. And it's quite nice. I need to test it more cause so far I'm mainly picking up oud and vanilla and it's not that thrilling. It might need time to develop though 😊

I really HAtE this scent and i also HATE the burning cherry as well! Idkw but i feel as tho they smell similar except for the lil dose of cherry that i get in thee burning cherry but they both are just wayyyyyy too Strong and to be honest it is borderline masculine! They smell very tobacco heavy for some reason....? Almost gives me a headache!
I’m glad that I bought only 10ml. I can’t wear it by itself, only layered with something else. I only get smoke, oud and leather from Vanille Royal😢

Same. I’m getting the Pstchouli & Oud. It dries down smoky on my skin & I get No sweetness, No Vanilla or Crème brûlée. Has a masculine cologne vibe on the skin also. It’s not for me

I actually reallllllllly like this scent very much. I do personally smell the vanilla 28 dna in this veryyy much in this but for me its not as sicky sweet as I thought 28 was IMO. Invite 21 was TERRIBLE. Smelled like I wore jack Daniels for perfume. This scent is almost like a mix of those but has its own special features. Jax described this to a T and it is my favorite out if all the ones I own 👏 😀
I love V28 and am obsessed with Invite Only. I don't get a ton of booze in Invite Only or Vanilla Royale which I find so interesting. This one smells divine in the bottle and deep deep dry down BUT on my skin the patchouli is almost barnyard like. I'm hoping it gets better with time. I can totally understand why ppl would love or hate it. Invite Only is a love for me especially when paired with Burning Cherry. That sweet cinnamon gets me! Haha

I just got my review up and I absolutely love Vanilla 28 and Invite Only but Vanilla Royale does not smell good on my skin. So interesting how we all get something different. I'm so confused bc in the air, on the clothes, and the deep dry down smells incredible, intoxicating. But on my skin it smells like a strong masculine patchouli. I'm so torn haha
I don't like Invite Only, but I love VR. As it seems everybody is picking up on different things, so I would advise to test/sample first. There really is no "if you... then you will..." in this case.

Could you please compare angel share by kilian to kayali vanilla royale?
The two are nothing alike in my opinion. Angels share smells like a boozy cinnamon apple pie with woody notes in the base. Vanilla royale is boozy Patchouli with sugar and vanilla and a hint of leather to my nose.
It's gourmand on my skin the creme brulee and rum and brown sugar stand out on my skin it's so good I got 3 bottles I'm obsessed and I agree it not beast mode (which I prefer) but there's a nice scent bubble
