Best handsome, talented and soulful duo ever. Bobby always has a delightful surprise to deliver. Happy to see women still falling in love when he sings even nearly sixty years later.
I had a big smile when I saw your response when Bobby started talking during the song. It is amazing how their heart felt messages are still so relevant today. Today's music has a long way to go to match how romantic these old, classic songs were. Great job as usual Marie...:-)
Today's music isn't even trying. It's a very angry world that these kids are growing up in and it is reflected in the hatred they're putting in their ears. And yeah, Bobby certainly put a smile on Marie's heart ❤
Hello from Tennessee!! Your facial expression says it all.....you truly enjoyed this reaction and the music....Thank you for sharing!! Watching you enjoying these classic songs is truly refreshing!! Continue being the adorable, wonderful young lady you are!!!
Love watching your reaction. The word you may be looking for in regards to their voices match each other, is probably that their voices 'compliment ' each other. Hard to believe this was from such a long time ago. Time flies.
Good morning, Marie! Thank you for another great video. The look in your eyes as you watched this one was so sweet! I have a story for you. I grew up in Southern California. My mother was a Registered Nurse at Anaheim Memorial Hospital. She came home from work one day and asked my sister and I, if we knew who Bobby Hatfield was? We both said, "Yeah! He's one of The Righteous Brothers!" My sister was an even bigger fan than I was. Mom told told us that Bobby was in her hospital for some routine surgery operation. I don't even remember what the surgery was. So, she told us that Bobby was the most polite, sweet young man she had ever met. (Probably, a jab at me at the time! 😉) Anyway, the next day Mom brought home an autograph from him for my sister. She still has it 50 years later. Bobby passed away way too young and we are all so lucky to be able to still hear and see him and Bill Medley! By the way, both of my parents were WW2 veterans. My mom was stationed at Tripler Memorial in Honolulu where many of the victims of the Pearl Harbor attack were treated. Thanks again, Marie. I look forward to your next posting!😊
Eric, that's so great. Bobby had a blood clot in his leg, and had to be forced to go to the hospital. He never took care of his health, and when he died, his arteries were 95pct. blocked. All who knew and loved Bobby said he was the sweetest, kindest, and funniest man. And he was a great husband and father. Please, thank your mom for HER service.
@@dawnaberry8452 What a great reply! Thank you so much. My mom has been gone for many years now, but my sister was just here in Texas for a visit. I happened to ask her about that autograph my mother brought home, and she told me she still has it all these years later. I love watching all the "reaction videos" there are out there of Bobby doing "Unchained Melody" on The Andy Williams Show. All of them are just amazed. What a talent! God bless.
Sometimes it's great to escape into the past via TH-cam and live there for a while, like a time-traveller! It's so good to see the love in your eyes when you watch the Righteous Brothers. 😍
This song made my life. In 1982, I stole my mother's 8-track tape, and took it to the roller skating rink. I talked the DJ into playing it... at the right time. I took my sister's best friend out on the floor, and sang this song to her. I broke through the "Friend Zone" with this song. Sadly she passed 2014 from cancer. I miss you Sheila!
This was from the Bob Hope TV show on February, 16, 1966..... Bob was a legend who hosted all the great talents of that era. Love to see these reactions to the greats.
Sad you didn't let it go because it's all part of the same clip from the Bob Hope Show. It was shorter versions of 2 songs in 1 performance; a short medley. It's my favorite clip of Soul and Inspiration because of the second number which is killer. You would have seen their jazzy side with this. They were so so talented together and doing solos. We miss this kind of wonderful harmony today.
It gives me the chills when Bill Medley sings "Baby, I can't make it without you" with so much emotion and distortion after Bobby's tender monologue. Damn, these guys were good!
Great reaction to another song by this multi-faceted duo. By the way, I can assure you that you aren't the only one who fell in love with Bobby !! Check out more of his solos--you will be mesmerized. Cathy
I love that you actually listen to the whole song without feeling the need to make remarks every few moments. Watched your "Unchained Melody" video and then the other Righteous Bros. videos. Very enjoyable. Love to see you discover and appreciate music.
Hi Mary. Just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your reactions. You are a beautiful girl and I love your accent. I am 78 years and live in Anaheim California. I see you love the righteous brothers. I pretty much grew up with them. My brother lived right next door to Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield went to high school here in town. His parents had a business called Hatfield cleaners in town. Always loved their music and still do. Bill is still performing. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy it. Darrell
Found your channel and just love it. My family on my mothers side is French and I spent three years living in Paris. You bring back fond memories. Your English is just wonderful and your accent is charming. Don't change a thing.
Aside from HOW great Bill and Bobby sounded together, the other part of The Righteous Brothers I loved and admired was how close Bobby and Bill were in real life. They were close like brothers, and even though Bobby tragically died at only 63 years old, Bill still mentions his dear friend (Bobby) when he performs live. VERY touching to watch, because you can clearly see that Bobby misses his friend/partner to this day.
Are you sure about that 'close loving relationship between Bill and Bobby'? Guess you never read Bills' book, Memoir of a Righteous Brothers, of his shameless character assassination of Bobby. According to Bill himself, he didn't hang out with Bobby outside their working relationship, who he likened to a 11 year old child constantly. Bill even goes on to describe in his book, Bobby 'looked like a bum' and gave him money to get a much needed facelift, in Bills' opinion, to a then young 34 year old Bobby? Blatantly obvious Bobby didn't needed it, but what a callous thing to say to anyone, let alone to Bobby. Was Bill implying that Bobby was terrible looking and unattractive? He must've said that looking in his own mirror. That would make sense. Is that how a brother speak to their beloved brother about his appearance? You should read the reviews on Amazon from those who are unbiased that have read Bills' book. One reviewer summed up his book as a "Thinly veiled envy of Hatfield". I have read the book too with a heavy dose of scepticism and agree with this envy concept. Fact is Hatfield was far superior versatile singer who had an extraordinary vocal range of B2 to whistle register E6, stunning colouration to his voice, and had the ability to seamlessly connect all his vocal registers. Judging by all the reaction videos and young ladies comments, Hatfields' Swedish coventional good looks is a lot of women of all age groups type. That book was 50%+ putting Bobby down and rest eulogising himself (Bill) and his celebrity friends as well as Bills infidelity and glorification of his former licentious lifestyle with strangers and prostitutes. He even praised the lady who ran a brothel house, but failed to credit/praise Bobby for his own input to the group, not even a mention of Bobbys' songwriting or anything positive. Bills' book reads like a personal diary of an insecure histrionic with a big dollop of narcissism. Bills' book is now in the recycling bin (why waste good paper?)
Your such a lovely young lady. I noticed European girls like older, softer, more melodious music. It's really cool to see you get so wrapped up in the song
I think he was talking to you, and the rest of the time he was singing to you. You are so much fun to watch. The original recorded version is a fabulous full production, a la what Phil Spector did for the songs he produced for them, but this live version shows just what great voices they had apart and together, since they are not lip-synching . You have great taste in music and in boyfriends!
Early in their career their harmony caused an audience member to shout "That's righteous, brothers!" and that's how they got their name. So the story goes.
Ahh watery eyes of marie. Goosebumps also maybe? Lmao great reaction. Awesome song. Many many young ladies melted to this song. Keep smiling angel eyes. Stay safe.😉
Bob Hope was a very famous comedian who hosted many variety shows on television in the United States. He was also in a number of movies, in particular with Bing Crosby, another famous singer and actor.
Marie, you do a fantastic job. And as a Texan myself I must say that you are as cute as a speckled pup hiding under a red wagon. Keep em coming. Love ya.
Interesting version. Thanks, FrenchTastic, for that. A little slow paced, but I think the R.Bros did pretty good with it, even so. Perhaps they might have had a better sound engineer. The mics were not picking up the voices as well as they should. The camera work was below par, too. Bob Hope was putting on a prime time special and cutting corners. Budgets are a pain.
Hello Marie, I love love your reaction to this song and mostly your reaction to Bobby Hatfield because of his singing the Unchained Melody!!! Have a very nice day. Be well and be safe. From California U.S.A your friend "Eddie".🤗🙋♂️👋

It makes you human, congratulations :P keep making these amazing reactions, I get so much happiness watching your facial expressions, it's really great.

Another endearing and excellent reaction Marie,...:) You have good taste in the oldies and that sparkle in your eyes says it all... Take care and have a great week...
Hi from Robert in Wisconsin where Bobby Hatfield was born. Bobby was a great singer a one of a kind. You should listen to the Group Bread they had a lot of big hits from the 1960's. The lead singer had a voice almost like Bobby. Have a great day!!

Marie, Hello from San Antonio Texas. I bought a two disc collection of The Righteous Brothers, and aside from the songs you have reacted to, there was only one other song that I really liked. I think your "ooh" gave it away that you love Bobby. You are adorable, so glad to see how much you enjoy them. I still do at 72.
We all wish Bobby was talking to us. ❤️
You're a sweetheart. I hope your 'Bobby' finds you or you him...very, very soon. Such a pleasure to spend this time with you.

A great rendition by "The Brothers". Both are great as solos and as a duo. Truth be told, I am partial to Bobby Hatfield and his angelic voice. It appears you too hold the same skin tingling that he evokes from the women who listen to his songs. Great reaction. Cathy
Love when you react to the rightous brothers.

Wise words, yes music is my go to when I get down , must be why they call it uplifting Thanks for your uplifting vids. :-)
