Morale of the story is whatever we do it should be within the framework of dharma. According to Bhagavad Gtia our gunas are shaped by situations and circumstances, family, culture, past life and present life karma.. But With intention we can discriminate our dharmic and adharmic gunas in the current life . Jayalalitha had adharmic guna but she also had some dharmic guna. Since she had lots of ego and desire, her atman would re-incarnate because of karma accumulated in this life. If she had more dharmic guna, in the next life her atman would find a body, in a pious family . It is like graduating to next level in the universe(sity).
