thanks for making this video, i am relieved that I am not the only one who experienced that drafting issue. something they need to address and will be very interesting to see if its any different during SRC. the difference in wkg even on a gradient was absolutely huge for me. it seems to be fine when in the draft/holding the wheel. but closing gaps I was doing 4-5wkg more and they were pulling away from me...rediculous

That doesnt look too good for lighter riders. I imagine MW wanted to differentiate their physics from Zwift’s, but they might have gone a bit too far to favor watts over wkg

Interesting mate. Definitely hearing a few people seeing similar strangeness. Keep testing it out mate, because you're probably the person who would be impacted most if there is something not working correctly!

That was interesting to watch Josh. It seemed to show the heavier rider having an advantage climbing and a disadvantage descending. Very weird! Maybe the watts needed to draft is higher, with the watts needed to break away also higher? If it’s like that a surprise watt bomb or an early sprint would be difficult to claw back. I suppose the dynamics might be different with more riders in a peloton though. If you’re in a break, then attacking would work more easily looking at this.

@@benfinesilver2250 g'day mate, it was actually a bug that this video helped find in game where humans weights were incorrect even though my stats appeared normal... Hence why I climbed slowly, and descended easily

One thing i noticed with draft either you are in it getting fully benefit or nothing. Unlike other platforms which have decreasing/increasing % depending how big/small the gap is.

@@Barney_NZ Yep, i definitely agree with that too, but I feel like this is different. Me and this guy could be 100m apart and to maintain that 100m gap it seems as though I have to put out far more w/kg. I have had some messages overnight from some top riders saying that they had similar.. getting dropped (on a climb) by someone at 2.9w/kg vs them doing 4w/kg 🤣 SRC tomorrow will be interesting to see anyway! Hopefully all is good 🤞

Hello josh , The positive points in my opinion are the descents already, before we were forced to press to stay in the wheels, which seems to be no longer the case. The second positive point, the watts that are no longer in offset but in instantaneous and the third positive point, the fact that we release the watts, our avatar does not stop as before.
For the negative points, draft , especially in the climbs , even a lighter rider than a heavier rider will have to make more watts to stay behind, so for me light riders are at a disadvantage in the game

@@mickaelplantureux1380 agree completely with your thoughts. I just did a flat race and all of these things were much improved, and I think the climbing findings we have will be sorted 🤞

@@_joshharris I did a test in a climb with another rider heavier than me, he was climbing 3.5wkg and I had 4.5wkg, he was climbing faster than me, this is the only problem not solved, the more legers are disadvantaged in the climbs...

without having experienced this bug, I can confirm (after having raced SRC last night) that heavier riders are again dropped just the same as we were previously. There's certainly no advantage. To the point where it's the same as before and much lighter riders will still power away as w/kg is still king on the climbs.
Can say this as one of the heaviest riders in my grade
