I agree that Division Agents don’t exactly have a full military training while Ghosts already have a standard military plus advanced military training under their belt. Although there are a few division agents with military background. As much as I enjoy the Division agents, I’m putting my side on the Ghosts.
I would say it would be a toss up depending on where the engagement will happen. Urban setting, ill put my money on the division. They know the territory and their tech is optimized for urban ops. Any other area, Ghosts win, hands down.
Well the whole military training thing for the division agents really would depend on the agent, as the agents come from a variety of backgrounds and some will and some won’t have military training prior to activation.
I would have to disagree, once divsion agents are activated, they gain a wide birth on how, when, who, etc missions are completed. Agents are also not chained down to OPSEC , ROE's, laws, and regulations (state and federal). Ghost are well trained, but are held accountable to UCMJ, Geneva conventions, department of the army, JSOC, etc regulations a and laws. If ghosts were present when the second wave of agents were activated, divsion agents will have total authority on and over how the ghosts will operate, and be used to accomplish objectives, missions, and tasks. For me division agents are on par with tier 1 operators, and ultimately win if divsion agentsand ghost have to fight it out.
This video makes me want a Ghost Recon spinoff that puts the ghosts in the middle of the Division world, it would be fun having the Ghosts hunt down rogue agents.
@@weaselwolf8425 Set it up a bit like in Wildlands. Each district has to be cleared and once cleared the enemy presence is greatly reduced and you see more civilians scavenging etc. Give the ability to reset the map to give replayability. Keep the Division world bosses but make them a bigger fight to overcome. Rogue agents downed could unlock division tech for the Ghosts to add to their own tech pool.
That will be a short game, most of the fractions will be defeated very early. Ghost taking on Hyena, Rikers, Cleaners, Outcasts; etc is a joke. The True Sons and LMB would take actual planning as they are actual military groups, the BTSU would take the longest because of their sophisticated level of support and number. Hunters are probably the only significant threat due to their lethality and rogue agents would just be a nuisance.
It's actually not impossible that the Ghosts might be active simultaneously with the Division. If a team of Ghosts was on deployment when a lethal pandemic like the Green Poison hit, they might be instructed to stay in-country to either continue their mission or perhaps be provided a different one, perhaps to support/defend a laboratory studying the pandemic. That said, the Ghosts would almost certainly not be within the borders of the United States, whereas the SHD's agents would most likely only ever be active on US soil.
I believe that the Ghosts would’ve been integrated in the JTF in some capacity seeing that the National Guard and by extension the US Army integrated with civilian authorities.
4 ghost would massacre 4 agents; a fair fight would be 1 Ghost operator vs 4 agents and they'd still lose if it wasnt the top 4. If you had 20 SHD Agents they would maybe take out one Ghost operator. It also depends on what era of Ghost too; if its Hunter Team (GRFS) 4 Agents will die immediately. SHD agents dont even have solid coordination since most of them are strangers until D51 is active. Perfect example is Keener: It took 2 games with DLC for your agent (who is literally the best agent in the SHD btw) to barely catch and stop Keener; simply because Keener was more intelligent and ex-SHD. 4 Ghosts??? They would have *E A S I L Y* caught/killed Keener in a few days. The fight will start with agents getting out-gunned in a shoot-out, them retreating or falling back on their tech and then them being systematically killed after the Ghost learn to track them an counter their tech.
i would play the shit outta that. Imagine the cutscenes between missions were like og Cod Modern Warfare's, the player playing across the factions until they form up a kill team
The Fact you mentioned splinter cell agents makes me smile. Sam Fisher is an absolute unit but 3E and 4E agents are also highly capable. Sam is just the best of them, and if we get a new Splinter Cell Game I honestly wouldn't mind if we were in the Shoes of Briggs from blacklist, if anyone were to take after Sam it'd be him.
Called it. Soon as he said there's another tom clancy operative who would not only out outdo these agencies but wouldn't even break a sweat if they combined forces....I knew he was goin to say Sam Fisher. Not Splinter Cell, Sam Fisher. Lol... ofc he'd kick all their asses too.
Like any good soldier can tell you, your deficiencies and adversities can be overcome based not only on who you fight but Where you fight. While I wouldn't discount the overall higher skill level of the Ghosts, Agents by nature are urban specialists while Ghosts tend to operate like smaller Guerilla units. Question is, weaponry/equipment and all else being equal, could your fighting environment be an advantage for one versus the other? I'd rather like to see this play out. =)
Ghost Recon operators: they work under the military branch, they're more like Special Forces. They are masters of guerrilla warfare, specialized recon technology, and stealth tactics. The Division agents: they work under the law enforcement branch, they're more like SWAT on steroids. They are masters of urban tactical warfare and very high-tech weaponry. I can't put my side on neither because I love both!
I would say ghosts actually have better gear. I mean, future soldiers takes place in 2024, in the dark waters book, they had long been using a HUD, they already were field testing sensor grenades, and was talk about the invisibility cloak, etc
I know its an alternate reality from the rest of GR/R6/SC universe, but I thought it would be cool if GR or its mirror universe counterpart joined the JTF. It would be a neat way to implement new skills by sharing Ghost tech and replacing some of those clumsy JTF patrols that we all complained about with GR over watch teams.
Ghost recon and sprintel cell are connected, in Bolivia and auroa we see sam fisher fighting whit Nomad sentinel and unidad, same for R6, we see ash finka and thatcher on auroa and twich and caveira in Bolivia, and now we can play as Sam fisher in raimbow, the only universe aside for now is the division
@@yusafmalik5171 just like crossover between Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Terminator or Rainbow Six? Or The Division 2 and Resident Evil? Or Ghost Recon Wildlands and Predator?
@@Bozo2kPL there was a crossover between Div 2 and RE, it was more of some cosmetics (fucking whaled for the Hunk cosmetics) and some changing of the enemies to be more zombie-like.
The ghosts may be the true last line of defence but the shd is there to make sure that it doesn't resort to the ghosts having to come into the light. The shd can have ghosts undercover as high rank agents.
You do gotta keep in mind that Division agents have been from military background, In Div2 you can find recordings of people arguing whether or not to recruit agents like kelso into the division... you hear their criteria and get an idea for what theyre looking for.. so it wouldnt seem far fetched if there were ghosts who were also Division agents as well... if society falls and youre a ghost... bet your ass they'll get stuff done with their skills + Division gear.. if there are Divisions agents from every type of criteria, well ghosts are criteria. Division Agents are Trained.. I bet there is at least a couple ghosts in the Division.
Plus some former Ghost operators being Division agents could create command structures to keep other agents in check while still have freedom & autonomy when sxxx hits the fan.
I know that the games are separate but imagine if the Hunters were Ghosts. Be a nice little crossover between the two titles. Could go something along the line of Ghosts following their own rules to uphold society and deem the agents part of the SHD hostile since they haven't done their job correctly and even some have gone rouge and caused major problems (hence Keener and Fay). Each squad of Hunters are a bunch of Ghosts doing what THEY deem is the right course of action. Writing this as I think of it, but didn't the hunters all have army based tattoos? The Ghosts are from the army Special Mission Units so there could be something there....
As much as like Division as it is. I have to give this one to Ghosts. Ghosts have military training and not just ordinary one, they were build to infiltrate enemy territory under any circumstances. Division is trained only for specific event. Even tho Division could do the same job as Ghosts, they would never do it with such efficiency as Ghost. What I would like to see is Ghosts Vs Division Hunters 🤔
@Daniele Costalonga yeah it really isnt, ive seen a few people mention that the agents know the location better but they seem to forget the fact that the ghosts are specifically trained to complete their missions no matter what the environment is
Love your videos. You help fill the gaps in the story I may have missed. This adds tremendously to my enjoyment of the game. I know the Division game has a distinct target audience and there is this Love/Hate relationship with the game. I personally just started playing this game a few months ago where before that I hadn't played a video game in years. Division checks every box for me. Of course everyone game has its issues. The Devs seem to address this via patches and updates allbeit not a timely as we would like but that's life. Please keep doing what your doing as I immensely enjoy your content. Cheers!
As a military brat and someone who likes to study combat, Division agents would win. There is a reason military fear guerrilla warfare. Ppl with some training who are determined and have tools will always be a match for trained soldiers. That training just equates to higher rate of survival, bringing you from 30 seconds to 10 or more minutes in active combat. In a drawn out firefighter Division wins, Issac gives them an unfair advantage as well making it near impossible to get the drop on them. If it’s one hunting the other you have to remember that Division agents regularly deal with Hunters who are described as black ops or spec ops/best of the best. Imo Division agents have this unrealistic fantastic quality to them only made more apparent by Issac. You also have to take this into consideration. Many ghost teams have been killed by very easy simple traps/ambushes like division agents. Neither are perfect but the Division agents seem to have luck on their side.
I disagree. Ghosts are literally guerilla warfare specialists. They can’t have anyone know they were there(hence the name). If anyone is ambushing someone, it’s the Ghosts hitting the SHD agents. Not to mention the tech they have. SHD tech is made for defense and rescue, whereas Ghosts have drones for recon/assault, optical camo for evading/infiltrating, and other gadgets. I’m sure agents would put up a fight if they had warning, but it’s just my opinion that the Ghosts would end it before anyone could react. They’d use drones to locate them, use literal invisibility to set up explosives and get into position, then open up on them. If the agents knew what they were up against, then I’d say it’d be more of a fair fight, but they’re used to hitting stationary targets who are holed up(and Ghosts are constantly on the move).
@@north7764 No, ghost recon is literally a series based off of Tom Clancy’s books just like the division, and splinter cell. Ghost recon also literally means Group for Specialized Tactics. They use the best tested gear/tactics for specialized assignments. Aka the opposite of guerrilla warfare. The agents however are described as home brewed guerrilla fighters designed and trained to be the last line of defense while being given experimental gear, “the ones who test Ghosts gear on home soil before it’s used abroad.” It’s literally in Tom Clancy’s books. Hunters are even described as like I said before, ghost unit operatives/ spec ops. Despite that fact the agents from the Division seem to best hunters regularly. The Agent that the Division follows in game, “you” takes out a squad of 8 that are all hunting you at the same time. In the Division 2 there’s side content where you “catch” them trying to assassinate you, to which you avoid and proceed to hunt them down 1 by 1. All of that along with Tom Clancy saying Division agents and Sam Fisher were his favorite characters, explains the fantastical upper hand they have against soldiers like in ghost recon games. Ghost die and get replaced all the time, You should look up all the games and the books. the mc in The Division, Aurelio Diaz, and Splinter cell’s, Sam Fisher, just don’t die. With those things said, Division’s agents win vs Ghost operatives. It’s in the books lore. Don’t go trying to use real world counterparts because we are pitting two of Tom Clancy’s units against each other. So far as lore goes, Division agents are just better. They are what is left after Ghost fails.
@@notasimpleworld6408 I still reckon ghosts would win. They have far more experience then any agent in firefights and not to mention they have tech of their own to use that is literally designed and best suited for guerrilla warfare.
@@notasimpleworld6408 The Ghosts, both Delta Company, 5th SFG and the Group for Specialized Tactics are described as a detachment of the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) - literally the only US unit specializing in guerilla tactics and training. They are not strangers to guerilla warfare and are experts in both guerilla & unconventional warfare and counter insurgency operations.
Still rewatched the entire thing haha suchs ubisoft would copyright you on certain music like come on now, this guy is doing justice for your dying game
Truth is, no use fighting each other when they can be a much more formidable force together. Though actually, if the two we’re to combine forces (of course they are in different universes so that wouldn’t happen) just imagine the things they could end up doing.
I feel this is accurate. When dropped in cold, division agents perform at their best but the ghosts, if deployed prior to the division's knowledge, could and would kill them without firing a single bullet. Covert operations are their bread and butter. In a straight up firefight, with the tech available to the division, I think a coordinated team of division agents would be able to hold their own and come out on top.
The division agent would be trained by the militaries highest tier units during selection. There would be division agents that are also in the military (ie ghosts/rainbow).
It'll be a tough fight, but depending on combat experience, I side with Ghost. Someone can train all their life, that doesn't mean they will do well in battle especially against someone with proven experience. All Ghost have a lot of combat experience while not all Agents are veterans with combat experience. It really just depends.
I haven’t watched the video, yet. But my guess would be the Division Agent, simply because of all the gadgets they have. You throw your seeker mine, which makes stealth impossible. Then the drone that just ends the Ghost. I might edit my comment after watching it. Just wanted to share my 2 cents before watching it.
WOW! Great video, love all these games. Although it's in a different timeline, I put The Division after the events in Breakpoint. That way my Ghost Recon soldier is retired and living in the in New York at the time of the Division. Good stuff, you got yourself a new subscriber.
I feel like we don't see the true potential of Division agents in the game, they could be more stealthy and skilled than we give them credit, and can slink into hideouts across entire cities. How do you fight cockroaches? You can't. Especially if they have a tech advantage which could potentially nullify your stealth and tech. Ultimately though, yeah, if a Division agent was caught off-guard, they're dead. No way they're surviving a sniper shot to the head from a mile away. But if it were on their turf, and the Division agents noticed them? I don't think the ghosts stand much of a chance. They could probably kill one/two agent/s, but I think they'd ultimately lose.
I watched this with great interest! Btw, Division agents are more like US Special Forces (Green Berets). Not by mission but by training and skill sets with a larger emphasis on the civilian ... 'stuff'.
What a cool video! Thank you for that As you said, Ghost and the Division are not from the same universe, BUT the backstory for my main agent is, that he is a disrespectfully dismissed ghost. Now he is a Grumpy middle aged man that got draftet as a agend, and i love it!
This has actually been a question of mine but I know the division isn’t trained to fight the ghosts hand to hand even with the most advanced technology but imagine what this fight would look like against the hunters or team rainbow they’re not in the same universe but it’ll make for a pretty cool video
I would say that the SHD would work best in a asymmetric unconventional warfare. notably Afghanistan, Vietnam, and some theatres in Iraq "winning hearts and minds" is the main goal . Ghosts, Rainbow and splinter cells may be tier-1 operators; but are more like hammer while the SHD are swiss army knife. To that end, they fit more the profile of Green Berets or opposing force units (OPFOR).
I love your videos with facts and theories. I have one for you and I would love to hear your thoughts on it: What if Hitman (2016 series) and Ghost Recon (Wildlands & Breakpoint) are set in the same universe? I speculate Diana Burnwood and Karen Bowman are the same person. They are both voiced by the same actress. Their jobs are basically the same - espionage - collate intel from around the world and provide target information to an assassin (Agent 47) or to a squad (Ghost Team). We know the name 'Karen' is an alias. We have heard Sam Fisher call her 'Linda'. Maybe 'Diana' is also an alias. Diana and Karen may look a little different but maybe she is a master of disguise. Finally, In GR:Wildlands mission Operation Archangel, when Ghost Team is searching for Caveira's brother in an apartment, we see a suit very similar to what Hitman wears. This is an easter egg but it only adds fuel this speculation.
Well, the Ghosts are literally above the Tier 1 units like DEVGRU and CAG, actually actively recruiting from them. A 4-man team of Ghosts was deemed sufficient to take down entire nation-spanning terror networks (Wildlands) and that's without access to high tech equipment. A single undercover Ghost can dismantle an entire cartel branch and kill his way out of a Bolivian special forces prison unarmed (Narco Road), and the aforementioned 4-man team took on an army of mercenaries that had special forces training as well as futuristic tech while banged up from a helicopter crash with hardly any resources of their own (Fallen Ghosts) across all of Bolivia. Nomad alone was able to kill his way across an island of Sentinel mercs and Wolves who were all prior US special operations personnel while also fighting legions of drones ranging from quadcopters to automated tanks. Hell, even Sam Fisher was greatly impressed by Nomad and his team, and this same Sam Fisher casually made Rainbow 6 operators look like rank amateurs and was also able to kill an entire Splinter Cell force sent after him. Division agents have high tech weapons and robust support networks as well as sheer numbers but struggle to gain a foothold against looters, convicts, and a much less impressive PMC spread out over single cities.
Honestly, I feel like the ghosts would have the advantage in the end: the only way I think they’d fall behind compared to the division is their equipment, but really, I think they wouldn’t have that big of a gap to clear, seeing as though they already have their own drones with multiple uses including recon and even as mobile explosives. Their training I can’t really say for sure, but like he said, they don’t wait to be deployed, they deploy, get the job done, get back, and wait to hear where they’re going next. Another reason I say this is the fact that the ghosts have been able to survive just as unfavorable odds as the division, such as the case in operation “King Slayer” or the events on Aroa. Honestly, if they did exist in the same universe, I would’ve had the division have the ghosts help them with the hunters, seeing as though the hunters have a similar ferocity and clandestine nature to the ghosts (I don’t know if this means they could also be the hunters but they’re tech is close enough that I could see them easily adapting it to combat the division tech). Maybe they could’ve actually hunted them down more affectively and even match them in skills and experience. They even might have done well against the other factions; they faired well against the Santa Blanca cartel and the Wolves in “Break Point,” the hyenas would be a breeze.
This is a really good video discussing the differences within each other's universe to see which ones would come out on top. I agree that the outcome would result on location and gear provided, though I think on an even playing field, where there are points of cover and area to move around/hide in. Both sides having their respective gear and weaponry, I believe that the SHD Agents would come out on top. The Ghosts would put up one intense fight, but overall lack the tech that the SHD Agents do. When it comes to ranged combat, the Ghosts will have the upper hand at fighting, though narrowing it down to medium or short range engagements, the SHD Agents prove the superiority with the martial arts training, deployable ballistic shields, drones, etc. and are crafty in the ways they operate. As for the segment where both sides would struggle to take down Sam Fisher, I would have to respectfully disagree. As the Agents with their tech and craftiness and the Ghosts with their gear, a team of 8, specially trained JSOC forces versus one guy would yield poorly for the solo man. Overall, a very good video!
It depends a lot on the situation, as both have their strength and weaknesses, location, time, who initiates combat are all huge factors in the encounter. I would say though, I suspect in terms of mental stress, the division agents can take more, the simple reason that they are looking at the destruction of their own homes, cities, and keep going, that is something, but in straight up combat, the ghost are going to be better if just with firearms
agreed. while the Ghosts may be better warfighters, they do not have to deal with the same stresses of a Division agent. they may have to deal with terror units, nukes, rogue cells, etc, but Division agents have to rebuild a destroyed america.
@@Mr_War_ to build on that, they also have to find a way to organise together with civilians or local factions that are not unlawful, and their supply situation is worse, as though they do get supplied, it’s probably intermittent and they probably only get what everyone else has while the ghosts probably do not have to worry about those, just different skill sets and mission profiles
Division agents to me are like national guard, yeah they have some training just in case but regardless of training, you can't replace real combat experience, they lack the actual combat experience that troops like the Ghosts have since The Division is only active in the one instance of the games plot. Ghosts have been busy since their conception. The Division has those gadgets and drones sure BUT the Ghosts are no strangers to high tech, especially the Future Soldier/Breakpoint time periods. In my opinion, the Ghosts take this.
I think you say it best in the video. A Ghost does thing as their day job, day in day out. An Agent is trained for it, while living a routine life. All the training won’t help if you don’t put it in practise.
I love this. You got me hyped for the other operators. You did a very good job of letting each faction have its strengths while still giving each of them the props they deserve. Great video.
You are one of the best fucking story tellers on here. Every time I watch one of your videos it always ends up in me playing some Tom Clancy game. Thanks for being there and entertaining me!
Nah, by definition Ghost are on a whole another level. There is a difference between division agents getting advance training in different things vs Special Operations Operators. 2+ year pipe line just to become an operator in a special operations unit. Plus the nature of the missions from deserts to urban operations along with actual down range time and gun fighting PERIOD make them WAY more of a threat than Agents. There is no contest in this one.
I liked it when he said that last part. Someone who's not going to break a sweat and can take them down even if they are combined. 😐 Well, that's Sam Fisher for you. Ghost team without a Support and Sam without a Support is like 1v4 in a sense but Sam escaped from Mafia and Splinter Cells from his age and yeah... If you can find him, it was already too late.
Brilliant video, love the speculative nature to get the brain juices flowing. Gives me the same feeling of reading a great book that creates the images in my head
So true. I grew up playing Tom Clansy games. Late 90's/ early 2000's. And I fully believe Ghosts would win in a 1 on 1. Mostly because they know how to fight. But your last point is spot on. They probably wouldn't stand a chance against any 3rd Echelon operatives. Not even a contest with Fisher.
My money is on the ghosts, past and future. Great and amazing agents are, lore wise; I see ghosts eating the enemy factions alive far easier than agents ever did. LMB, Tusk, & Hunters would be challenging, but i still see victory.
Since they removed the predator mission from wildlands I thought it would be cool to have some type of cross over mission in breakpoint. Another island that feels like the zoo in the division would be cool. Add in some characters that look like division agents to fight alongside you vs some division type threat.
This is an interesting series you started here. I'm personally rooting for the Ghosts. Though I would like to see who would win between the Ghosts and Team Rainbow.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 I created it like this ... SHD became somekind of CIA after proving his effectiveness in combat... Now they work with the US Military Force on secret missions and Special Operations ... Many of them are delivered by the President himself... It is worth mentioning that only elite agents remained to form this Non-existence army... Many agents in the division withdrew from their duty as agents to be ordinary civilians, it was a choice given to them after so long in service.
Side note, I doubt any government agency would be stood down in the division universe. They’d still be working doing something either through the government or because they want to. Black tusks existence and the JTF shows this.
The division agents are most likely best compared to special activities SAD agents which are comprised of and recruited from, tier 1 SF units, like the ghosts. So there's not much difference between the two except their status and readiness. This is what I loved about the concept of a division agent. a cross over would be incredible
I love the division so much I have a early break out new york division cosplay. They spoke to me, because as an American who’s a firearm owner and a bit of a prepper, the divisions mission statement speaks to me. But fuck man, the ghosts would wipe the floor with the agents. They have completely different goals. A division agent is there to act almost like a militia, only at the federal level. But the Ghosts are military special forces, fuckin black ops guys.
I think the Agents of the Division and the Ghosts of Ghost Recon are pretty badass in their own right. Having playing Div2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint, just the missions you are sent on are pretty awesome, very dangerous, and so forth. Yes, the Agent is perhaps one of the best of their type, always going above and beyond, doing the impossible, and all that, but so does the Ghost(thinking about Nomad in particular). As someone pointed out, some Agents do have military backgrounds(hell some could be Ghosts, but that is likely very few), but in comparison none I do not think have as much training and experience as Ghosts, most of whom are special operations(units like Navy Seals, Delta, and so on), trained in things like guerilla warfare, direct action, hostage rescue, et cetera. While I think the Agent is a badass, I am siding with the Ghosts on this one. Now, a team up of them would be badass. Ghosts and Div working together, yes please!
I know this is late, but the Ghosts have this match up. The division might be better with elements like search and rescue and availability, but in all other aspects the ghosts have it. They are black ops killers trained to go deep behind lines without support and destabilise/rebuild countries (aka bolivia) and they are also trained to cooperate with local forces and wilderness survival. I doubt they'd ever have the need to fight as the scenarios are very different, but the Ghosts are far more lethal.
Nice video, I love both series of games and both concepts, both to be honest I don't think the division stands a chance against the ghosts. The ghosts are the best that the military has to offer while the division is some sort of "FBI green berets".
Your description of Division agents as "FBI Green Berets" is kinda ironic, because the Ghosts are a detachment of the Green Berets. The original Ghosts unit, Delta Company, 5th SFG aka "Ghost Recon", is confirmed to be part of the US Army Special Forces while the books hint that GST is the Tier 1 element of the SF akin to DEVGRU of the Navy SEALs or RRC of the 75th Ranger Rgmt.
@@abelingaw5070 fair but in that mission Sam had to hack a computer and defend himself. And not even he could do both. So he kinda had to call for assistance there (I haven't played episode 2 of Breakpoint yet)
@@Arcjaw And the Ghosts can do both. I mean they spent some of their time (if not most) clearing bases and hacking computers both in Wildlands, and in Breakpoint, Nomad did it most of the time solo.
Sam fisher is basically a ghost. He and others like him have a specific designation in the tom clancy world. When a ghost team for whatever reason fail a mission, they send in someone called a "lone wolf" to complete the mission. Essentially, they are basically a lone ghost operators. There is actually no difference between a ghost and what Sam fisher is.
Loyal Division Agents would likely hit a wall fighting a team of grizzled, battle-hardened Ghosts. Rogue First Wave Agents forged in the fires of the NYC DZ and the Hell that followed, or God forbid, Hunters? Would steal Nomad's lunch money and that of his entire squad.
Such a well-thought out and substantive rebuttal. Why do so many people just give a one-word or emoji response to something and think themselves clever for it? May as well not say a damned thing.
@@Kurogumo Pretty sure Faye helped manipulate and maneuver the situation against Keener to end in his defeat, and she then had a part in undermining the BTSU. The only tangential connection to the Hunters was through Sokolova, which I noticed you didn't even bother addressing..."bruh".
@@The_Lucent_Archangel Bruh we still folded him and his team with “support” from Faye, who was a double agent we also managed to track down and kill with the rest of her team. Us and Kelso pretty much carried that whole campaign, and the two of us manage to take down another four cells of rogue agents and the Hunter you mention without outside help. Face it man, rogue agents suck compared to loyal ones, that’s why they’ve lost pretty much every time they’ve showed they’re faces. They only reason they got as big in New York as they did is because all the loyal agents there responded to the DC distress call.
To this, I have to say they’re pretty well matched. When you consider their mission, skill sets and you everything else, you find that the Division really outshines the ghosts. Technology, skill, training and experience. This isn’t to say the ghosts aren’t deadly or unskilled, but I find my vote going right to the division, considering how the games portrayed them and the agents.
Well this a tough one. Although Division Agents may have former or even current military, nothing is more lethal than the Ghosts, fully trained and specialized in warfare, with soldiers from many backgrounds. I wouldn't say the Ghosts totally have this but I wouldn't bet against them either.
I agree, it would be a decently close fight. Division Agents are training till the day they are actually called, and while Ghosts would probably win since they have on average way more combat experience than most Division Agents, it would still be a difficult fight for the Ghosts and even a potential loss if Division Agents have the advantage of being on their home turf.
@@MellowGrunt10 True. But while division agents are embedded in the civilian world and do get training often ghosts, especially those who were Army SF can adapt to unknown territory better than others. Both sides have their strengths and weaknesses and I'm inclined to agree that the Division Agents can pull of a victory and a familiar battlefield but ghosts are what they are for a reason. More combat experience and made up of the U.S. most lethal and trained forces. Division Agents are basically like technologically advanced national guardsmen, but more discrete.
Head cannon that probably doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, but I think the Hunters could be the Ghosts considering who the Hunters work for, and the way they fight. Just Ghosts with SHD tech. Nomad very clearly shows that Ghosts follow the orders to the letter whenever possible. He doesn’t ask questions. He just gets the job done, and done well with his team. It’s possible that they were folded over to another mission after the Dollar Flu and give The Cocktail vaccines that the Division agents received so they can hold out in the new environment. Like I said, it doesn’t make much sense, but I like the thought😄
They could both exist at the same time Theoretically, however ghosts don’t operate on American soil, it’s not there MOS, there sent in to other country’s as a first strike behind the scenes without being noticed. Basically all special forces requirements combined into one package. division agents are only on American soil and only deployed upon a last means defence. American troops won’t be deployed upon American soil, that’s the national guards job, otherwise we would definitely see some gun ho marines or army destroying everything in there path, instead we see JTF. However still a good video.
The division agents's tech is way more advanced. They have some device for every situation possible. I agree that in a situation where you dont know where the enemy is, the ghosts have the edge, they comunicate effectively in order to take the enemy out bit by bit, but in a full scale face to face confruntation, the agents should win because of both their tech and the fact that this is their fighting style
Ghost are better at covert ops and assassination, you say?! Maybe the best example of a ghost in the division world would be the hunters. Maybe xdefiant will settle the question.
NGN So with this, I'd have to give it to The Division agents. For one, the Ghosts would have no knowledge of the Division until they were activated and would have to seek them out in an urban environment. This would give the Division agents the "home field " advantage and make I.S.A.C. an additional advantage (hard to hide from those pulses). Also, as NGN points out, the Ghosts would take loses during the outbreak and this would diminish their effectiveness as they rely heavily on their team mates to round them out. On the other hand, a Division cell of four members have often been reduced to only one survivor and that lone survivor has remained just as effective. There is also the support factor to consider as well. A Ghost, while requiring little support, still needs some support as well as orders, but the Division agents are trained to operate with none. That said if a Ghost went into a city to hunt a Division agent, that agent would most likely have the support of the locals as a know element while the Ghost would have no support at all. Side note, Ghost are the Hunters maybe?
I think it's a 60/40 split. ISAC works as a good scout, but Ghosts are undetectable in their element. They'd have to set up an ambush to catch a Division agent off guard. Division agents could also be a bit unpredictable in nature in terms of attack between their use of SHD tech and varied forms of training, mixed with what may be correct or incorrect instinctual movements. If a Ghost can counter a Division agent who has poor natural instincts, then the Division agent loses. If it's an agent with great natural instincts, then the fight gets that much tougher for the Ghost.
My head canon is that Division agents are more like last resort Homeland Security, Ghosts are American Spec Ops sent into unstable countries, and Team Rainbow are a joint international op activated only on active National/International threats, unlike Division agents where they are activated only when the threat caused a last resort scenario
So, i had an idea while playing Breakpoint. Since Division, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and Rainbow 6 are under the Tom Clancy (and 2 of those titles are referenced in Breakpoint) what if the Ghosts make an appearance in Division? I would assume at least one or both the NSA and CIA Directors are still alive, and are aware of Cal and everything else. What if the other groups come and assist SHD Agents in whatever is coming? I think its plausible.
i think between the gadget (and network acces) and the heavily implied existance of implants, the division agent would stood above, plus between assuming field command and support of the local community they are basicaly backed by an army or at least a competent militia. ghost are more than competent and experienced, but there is so much that competence can cover, plus, ghost rely on external group for some part of the information like gathering information or (i'm not a fan of the game or the novels linked) hawks or other millitary divisions for support (the whole point of ....breakpoint was to cut that support from the operatives).
It will be great to see both worlds merged, because ghost recon is turning more futuristic (again) with drones and that , like the division, and the upcoming "breakdown" of the government; corruption, etc, merge these worlds to make ghosts meet the division. Making a crossover in both games and play new ghost recon set in "actual" timeline, a corrupted and broken USA, so they would learn abilities from each other. (Like splinter cell crossover or Advance warfighter crossover).

I agree that Division Agents don’t exactly have a full military training while Ghosts already have a standard military plus advanced military training under their belt. Although there are a few division agents with military background. As much as I enjoy the Division agents, I’m putting my side on the Ghosts.
Ditto! If The Division is called up, its because the Ghosts failed, Ghosts dont fail!
Lmao bruh my drone and sniper turrets would fuck them up.
This video makes me want a Ghost Recon spinoff that puts the ghosts in the middle of the Division world, it would be fun having the Ghosts hunt down rogue agents.
And dealing with all the enemy factions👌
@@weaselwolf8425 Set it up a bit like in Wildlands. The True Sons and LMB would take actual planning as they are actual military groups, the BTSU would take the longest because of their sophisticated level of support and number.
Hunters are probably the only significant threat due to their lethality and rogue agents would just be a nuisance.
@@megakazuya123 Maybe The BTSU can have some former Ghosts as mini bosses like the Wolves ?
It's actually not impossible that the Ghosts might be active simultaneously with the Division. If a team of Ghosts was on deployment when a lethal pandemic like the Green Poison hit, they might be instructed to stay in-country to either continue their mission or perhaps be provided a different one, perhaps to support/defend a laboratory studying the pandemic. That said, the Ghosts would almost certainly not be within the borders of the United States, whereas the SHD's agents would most likely only ever be active on US soil.
It could be possible that the ghosts could be shifted over under SHD or JTF command.
It might be
I believe that the Ghosts would’ve been integrated in the JTF in some capacity seeing that the National Guard and by extension the US Army integrated with civilian authorities.

Perfect example is Keener:
It took 2 games with DLC for your agent (who is literally the best agent in the SHD btw) to barely catch and stop Keener; simply because Keener was more intelligent and ex-SHD.
4 Ghosts??? They would have *E A S I L Y* caught/killed Keener in a few days.
The fight will start with agents getting out-gunned in a shoot-out, them retreating or falling back on their tech and then them being systematically killed after the Ghost learn to track them an counter their tech.

The Division and Ghost mmm well with ISAC Tell them that there here
If the Ghosts had access to the same equipment as the SHD/Division Agents then the Ghosts would fair up better in an offensive battle.

The ghosts may be the true last line of defence but the shd is there to make sure that it doesn't resort to the ghosts having to come into the light.
The shd can have ghosts undercover as high rank agents.
It was already stated that the ghosts aren’t the last line of defense.
Yeah, i dont see why an Agent can be also a Ghost or viceversa.

What I would like to see is Ghosts Vs Division Hunters 🤔
Not a fair fight for me
@Daniele Costalonga yeah it really isnt, ive seen a few people mention that the agents know the location better but they seem to forget the fact that the ghosts are specifically trained to complete their missions no matter what the environment is

@@north7764
No, ghost recon is literally a series based off of Tom Clancy’s books just like the division, and splinter cell. Ghost recon also literally means
Group for Specialized Tactics.
They are definitely written by Clancey. However it even says in wildlands the ghosts have to use guerrilla warfare because they are alone.

you must be fun at parties..
You caught me off guard at then end there. Awesome video and you got me thinking about scenarios of what agency would win.
Can you do Rogue Division Agents vs Wolves.
What about 4(th) echelon?
What about R6?
Wolves?
@@DeagyD the wolves are the rogue ghosts

The division agent would be trained by the militaries highest tier units during selection. There would be division agents that are also in the military (ie ghosts/rainbow).
It'll be a tough fight, but depending on combat experience, I side with Ghost.
Someone can train all their life, that doesn't mean they will do well in battle especially against someone with proven experience. All Ghost have a lot of combat experience while not all Agents are veterans with combat experience. It really just depends.
Unless that division agent was a ex ghost or some other special forces.
I haven’t watched the video, yet.
But my guess would be the Division Agent, simply because of all the gadgets they have.
You throw your seeker mine, which makes stealth impossible.
Then the drone that just ends the Ghost.
I might edit my comment after watching it.
Just wanted to share my 2 cents before watching it.
nicely done! funny this is, the background story i had for my SHD agent was that he/she was previously an operator wt the Ghosts
WOW! Great video, love all these games. Although it's in a different timeline, I put The Division after the events in Breakpoint. That way my Ghost Recon soldier is retired and living in the in New York at the time of the Division. Good stuff, you got yourself a new subscriber.
Welcome, thank you very much!!

Ghosts and original Rainbow 6(not those siege clowns) are the G's of the Clancy universe.
I never played any of the last game but it gave me chills cause i heard of him when he told nomad they need to talk
One problem. He mentions that the universes are different. But several characters are in both game universes. The timelines are pretty close .
The way I see it is
Division agents are ARC Troopers
Ghosts are Clone Commandos
Give the ghosts a stick they will kill an army and give the shd a stick they would kill a small gang
They literally have visual camo
That ending is all I needed to see. 100% totally agree! Echelon!
Og’s watched the original upload ✌🏾
I think you say it best in the video. A Ghost does thing as their day job, day in day out. An Agent is trained for it, while living a routine life. All the training won’t help if you don’t put it in practise.
I love this. You got me hyped for the other operators. You did a very good job of letting each faction have its strengths while still giving each of them the props they deserve. Great video.

(Again) I know this isn't possible but a Division Agent as Rainbow Operator would be a great addition for The Better Counter-terrorism team.
That would actually be real nice, but how would they be worked into the Rainbow Six universe? Wouldn't a Division Agent still be dormant?
@@dragonbornexpress5650 I created it like this ... SHD became somekind of CIA after proving his effectiveness in combat... Now they work with the US Military Force on secret missions and Special Operations ... Many of them are delivered by the President himself... It is worth mentioning that only elite agents remained to form this Non-existence army... Many agents in the division withdrew from their duty as agents to be ordinary civilians, it was a choice given to them after so long in service.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 They practically have the Kool Aid man. At this point it not like it really matters.
No they're not, they're mostly Regular Civilians, or 1st Responders. They are Absolutely Not comparable to SAD Agents.
@@STAK_22 nope their training puts them far above civilians
I love the division so much I have a early break out new york division cosplay. They spoke to me, because as an American who’s a firearm owner and a bit of a prepper, the divisions mission statement speaks to me. But fuck man, the ghosts would wipe the floor with the agents. They have completely different goals. A division agent is there to act almost like a militia, only at the federal level. But the Ghosts are military special forces, fuckin black ops guys.
this is like comparing an Marine to an SEAL
That ending was very bittersweet.
Viva la Sam!
Ghosts and Div working together, yes please!
whenever you see the ngn intro you know its gonna a good video.
Depends thats the answer to the question. It just depends.
Nice video,
I love both series of games and both concepts, both to be honest I don't think the division stands a chance against the ghosts.
Bro this makes me want to see a squad of ghosts become division agents that would be a great movie
Damn I can’t believe they claimed you that sucks man. But great vid as always
As I said on the first upload, Sam would absolutely *DESTROY* Rainbow, The Ghosts, and The Division without breaking a sweat
Sam required the Ghosts' help in multiple occasions already. So yeah, I think your comment is exaggerated.
@@abelingaw5070 fair
Bruh we folded Keener and his all of his goons, plus we practically dismantled the BTSU by ourselves. We’d fold Nomad like an omelette.
@To Release is To Resolve Sorry but you're still an idiot.
Ghosts also know how to use stealth! Which is something the Division seems to not understand, not to mention melee combat
It’s not like they’re incapable of stealth, it’s just that it’s not generally in their mission.
I would love to see a video about ghosts versus black tusk or ghost versus the hunters.
Back at it again to say. The agents won’t see me coming
Almost, but that's what ISAC is for. We don't need to see you coming if we assume you are there and have prepared accordingly.
So the Ghosts are like the Hunters from the Division
Player of both games, I find this fascinating.
I agree with your statement but as for the side note. Ubisoft has confirmed several times that division is not connected to the ubisoft universe.
Yooo I got Mad Goosebumps at the end of the Video. Loved it!
