King's X is one of the most criminally underrated Hard Rockin bands to ever exist in the entire history of Rock N Roll and the entire history of music.
i think the problem is they are stuck in the middle between hard rock and alternative rock/metal, crossover band always have that kind of problem, nevertheless addictive band, the more you listen the more you fall in love with their riffs and choruses ;)
The most underrated band of all time. Their lyrics, musicality, their voices. Kings X is the most incredible band ever. My husband and I got their first album in the 80's and was blown away. We got all their albums and were never disappointed. Dug Pinnick is my favorite bass player of all time and holy moly does he have the most incredible primal scream ever. THANK YOU KING'S X FOR THE MUSIC!
i honestly...just....don't understand the idea that more people don't love this band. power, subtlety, complexity, simplicity, groove, harmony...so many vibes throughout the years, so much talent. they just nail it in general.
The way I see it, King's X is a band that will always belong to their true fans, which is an awesome thing. Sometimes it sucks when a band becomes huge, it changes things. King's X will always be a sort of hidden gem for those of us who love them.
rhiggins30 perfect comment!! I often wish they had more mainstream success, but I (we?) feel an amazing connection to this band and their music. Sometimes it goes even deeper with a smaller fan-base.
Too Good For The Masses... Check out over all of history, all of music and other arts, of healthy life / thoughts / wants / needs etc etc etc.... Better be happy you're not one of those sheeple. Better be happy your favourite bands are not the hamburgers of our society... ENJOY!!!!
Woah Kings X. The greatest band no one's heard of! Been with these guys since 'Out of the Silent Planet' and simply don't get why they're not massive! Latest album '3 Sides' keeps the flame alive. Long may you rock mighty Kings X!
I used to be Jerry's drum tech. King's X consistantly the best live act on the road today, and the nicest guys in the world. Great job on the video, Christian.
Have every album. One of the best rock bands ever. Perfect blend of soul, rock, power, harmonies, and musicianship. IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU HEAR... GO TELL SOMEBODY!!!!
I had the pleasure of opening for King's X on the Tape head tour in 1998. I was always a fan and that was my fav experience in music. These guyz are cool to the bone!
I started listening to King's X in 1990 when I was pregant with my daughter; and let me tell you I have loved them every since.....I am a bass player singer in our band....I was raised in a Southern Baptist household and my dad was a gospel singer (shouting gospel)....Over the years I have reflected on my own personal journey to just be who I am and revel in it.....
That 12 string Bass Mr. Pinnick plays is a horror show on your fingers...Your flesh gets pinched in between the strings...Its amazing how he can deal with that during a set...These cats are so soulful and real.
He plays a Hamer 12 string bass first designed by Tom Peterson of Cheap Trick around 77' - 78' I saw him play it from the from row at the Paramount theatre in Portland Oregon on August 31st 1978 - my 18th birthday, such a badass - Doug plays in a much more physical percussive style. Just incredible!
I finally got to see them live a few years back. The entire concert was a religious experience. But when they finished their encore with a stripped down version of Goldilox and dUg directed the audience as we sang the song to them... it shows how deeply we fans feel their music in our bones. I've been to hundreds of concerts and I've never experienced a better concert.
I'm a Christian and I love King's X! Best band that has been ignored, a real shame. When Doug came out I was shocked but never, ever judgmental. I look at the log in my eye before I look at others. My faith has been tested many times and I have never thrown it away, why? Because some knee jerk ignorant idiots think now that Doug is evil? Doug, and the whole band for that matter, need our prayers. Return to God Doug and Jerry through him all things are possible even redemption. Why throw away et
I discovered them in 1989 after I’d all but given up on hard rock. They revived my thirst for good music. I saw them last Saturday at the Scout Bar in Houston. Small venue and they did not disappoint. They opened with Groove Machine and I rocked hard until the show ended. My wife loves this song and it was in the set list.
Sorry for what? Being one of the three most talented musicians in the greatest most underrated band of all time? The art that is Kings X has been an inspiration to me since out of the silent planet. The world should apologize for not giving Kings X it's due. Love and peace.

Yes!! yes yes, I'm going to say it, THE most underated band in the history of rock, they're of a much different caliber than ANY other band. They are my generation's Yes, Pink Floyd, Sabbath and the Beatles. Which is a massive statement, as they are a massive sound for a 3 piece band. Incredible, I hope we get years more of their music..👍💯
This song has such a great groovy sound, and the harmonious singing is awesome. I love King's X, I am so lucky that I have seen them LIVE in The Netherlands.
dUg pinnick is agnostic (turned away from the church after coming out as gay) so there is a chance that this is ironic in some capacity. then again this song was written by ty who is religious (even though he has criticized the church in his music from time to time).
@@negativefloof5033 I don´t care if they are good or not, if their message is religious I am out. There´s just too much of it out there. So I guess it´s good news.
Did anyone see the comment posted by that one fucking loser that said that King's X has "no harmony" OR "good groovy hooks"??!🥺I'm sorry but WHAT THE FUCK? They are nothing but HARMONY & GROOVE specialists you fucking inbred loser. What are they playing fucking Ozzy covers hoping to get heard? What a prick, f.o.a.d.a, thank you.
@@marcoferrao omg what ignorance!!! They ARE a great band that got labeled "christian" rock decades ago by the fucking fake news media. They never wanted that, nor did they NEED approval from idiots that didn't understand their music. So either you've heard them and have NO clue, OR you haven't heard them and STILL have no clue. They're far from Christian rock, they just sing alot of soft, flowing harmonies, they don't spit and yell and scream sounding like cats being butt fucked. I hate it when people talk shit and haven't heard a LICK of the music they're criticising, what geniuses!!....😁👎🤮💯
Most underrated band in the history of music. They should be as main event in all the big rock festivals like Wacken, Hellfest, Rock in Rio or Lollapalooza. You guys are pure talent.
