I wholeheartedly applaud Brittany & Abby, living their lives to the fullest, focusing on their goals no matter what the naysayers think. I really feel that if you cannot find it in your heart to be lovingly supportive of these fine young women then you obviously need to take stock of how you would like to be treated. There are so many people who could benefit from observing their ambitions, resilience, tenacity, & a strong desire to succeed! Truthfully, they give me courage to keep pressing forward despite all obstacles. Kudos to them for believing in themselves & inspiring others like me to keep a positive mindset! I am SO PROUD OF THEM!!!! 👏👏👏👏
I remember first seeing these determined young ladies on Oprah in the mid 90's. I was amazed back then to see how happy and inspiring these two were back then. Now look at them they accomplished so much! They have traveled, earned their drivers license and even their college degree as well. And finally they are living their best lives as teachers and they are married now to a wonderful gentleman. I always remembered their birthday bc that's my birthday too! 🥰

They are married now to one man.
I simply don't see how one salary is okay, but two licenses and two degrees are mandatory. Absolutely unacceptable. Would they pay a person with one arm half salary? You perform where they normally might only hire one person, but in some classrooms there are assistants or co-instructors. They hired two people who happen to share a pair of trousers. Still...two people.

If one passes, they both pass. There is no separation that could save one of them. Had they had two complete or mostly complete bodies that only shared organs could be separated. My guess would be their heart will give out from the stress of two heads to supply blood to. In their case they will both pass together. Chang and Eng could have saved one once the brother passed. But because of the era they were born in, they didn't know they could have separated them well before death. So hours after one went, the toxic blood poisoned his brother. They could have saved the other if they had removed the one who passed. I could not imagine knowing my twin was gone and I will too. But not knowing how long they have after half of them is gone.
This is a unique and inspiring story. Why question what they know will happen? They will face the inevitable one day but are living their lives and making a difference until then.

These young women are brilliant. They should be teaching cooperation, and teamwork. They have such a wonderful attitude. No matter what the challenge they overcome iit with grace and patience. In a world where many are just waiting to be outraged or self pitying Abby and Britney work within the options they are given. They have my respect and so do their parents who raised them well.

Having seen a number of reports about their efforts, successes, and even occasional stumbles, I have a few times thought of them and renewed my own efforts at whatever I was doing. These two women are so lively and so loveable you forget they're conjoined. It would seem an anomaly to see one without the other, yet they function so well together it makes the rest of us look like an anomaly. Their ability to share and function together is a testament that working together and compromising is how relationships can work.
I wish them well in their unique lives and am glad they're such a bright spot in such a mundane world.

I noticed that being two heads are better than one, because if there is a difficult task one can ask the other twin what to do if she is confused.
The girls have enjoyed a very normal life, provided by their very loving parents. Now they are flourishing adults. So much of their life is actually very average and normal. Love the example the family has set.

This is the saddest most horrible situation of conjoined twins. They could not be separated because of shared organs.
But in Ireland they had the same situation and the parents decided to remove one head off the body. Today the remaining girl is growing nicely as a single healthy individual.

I love these two girls. I’ve watched them grow up on TV and I’m so glad that they chose to be public with their lives. Maybe some ppl will learn from this and see that no matter who you are, or what you look like ect.. everyone should be excepted as equal because we were all created equal.
I don’t agree with them getting only one salary for the both of them. Both of them have to have a ID both have degrees and they both had to get a drivers license so therefore they should get two salaries. One for each of them.

No, they don't impact the world, America maybe but not the whole world. I wish them well but most people outside the U.S. had never heard of them until just recently, some still haven't. That's ok, I'm sure they wouldn't want the whole world watching their every move.

He was going through the list of their anomalies. He neglected to mention that one controls the left arm/leg, and the other controls the right arm/leg. I would imagine that came about as a natural byproduct of their conjunction. They had that figured out before they were born. JMHO.

I think they each get their own separate paycheck because they're two different people just because they're attached to each other they still have their own minds and their own personalities and they both had to get their degrees each on their own with their own mind and I think that they're both teaching so they both deserve to have a paycheck of Their Own
