Thank you Linda! I saw over at Bunny Guinness that adding gravel or clay to the bottom of a pot actually slows drainage. Who knew? 🤔 Can’t wait to see which house you pick. Love visiting them with you on your channel 🏡 😍
This is so peaceful, and those days that's what we need, seeing roots and leaves growing, feeding each other in a well balanced environnement. Thanks for this generous video !
Omg..... Great minds think alike because my next videos are on topiaries. Wow... Great video and an aside, I think we need a fashion video. I love your style of dressing and that dress!! You have such amazing classic taste that I adore. Back to the video, the pots that they are in are so lovely. Great job :)
@@VelvetandToads Yes outdoors. Hopefully, I don't fall apart from digging and replanting haha. Please upload often. I am addicted to your videos haha. Also, more shopping videos like how you did at Christmas when you bought the plaid stuff. Maybe I should just move to France now haha...
I have never tried a Topiary but love the look of them. So many great tips and the garden store was filled with beautiful pots of green. That park was gorgeous and I didn’t know Charles Perrault was the Author of so many wonderful folktales that I grew up with. I can see that you are enjoying Spring in France 🪴🪴🪴Thanks 💐
Hi Susan, this is a way to get some started from tiny plants but you can start them from from larger plants too with quicker results, I’ve got some other videos like that coming up, though you might want to go even bigger. I can picture a couple against your koala-studded backdrop of eucalyptus!
@@VelvetandToads looking forward to the other videos....Yes some big ones out the back would be great but they would be tiny compared to the eucalyptus trees there!!! We had a Tawney Frogmouth ( which looks like an owl) in the tree the other day and it sat there for hours. He is pretty rare so it is nice when he comes maybe 1-2 times a year.
This superlative presentation of yours is really praiseworthy . I wish you get your reward .Well thought , well explained . Soothing music . God bless you my dear friend . love .❤️❤️
🪴✂️ Hello! It’s springtime in Paris, and everywhere else in the Northern Hemisphere, isn’t it wonderful? Time to indulge in a growing (forgive the pun) obsession: topiaries! Join me in shaping a pair from scratch 🪴✂️
Thank you, I am inspired to try this! I have some pots that would work well. I can see what you are looking for now when you buy the shrub which is helpful. Another great video!
Fantastic, I’m glad you’re going to try. You’ve got some pots, I bet in that gorgeous garden of yours you already have some small plants you can work with, too seedling starts of larger plants that you would normally pull out for instance?
@@VelvetandToads You are very kind. Exactly! It is so hard to thin plants that have been lovingly cared for. It will be nice to replant them and try something new.
I have been watching your videos for the last year and this is one of my favorites. A friend of mine got me into bonsai several years ago and it’s nice to see I’m not the only one to source material for a similar passion in this way. Of course, I have never looked as stylish as you when pruning & potting! You must tell me where you found that dress. It is stunning on you!
Who says hair clips aren’t for plants, too? 🤔 😂 ❤️ I love your topiaries in the making sitting so nicely on your mantle. I do love a label maker. Lovely video! I enjoyed it very much!
I love the coffee filter over the hole concept! So many great tips! I loved this

Ah, planting topiaries in the Tuileries! Glorious! Wishing you a lovely spring.
Haha! Happy to take you along, Lesli. Wishing à you an equally lovely spring, your lavender must be in full bloom by now!

Lovely video, you’ve inspired me to make my own topiaries. Happy Spring!
Oh great! Which plant will you try? I’ve got more topiary videos on the way... Tis the season!
@@VelvetandToads I will try to find the Boxleaf Euonymus, I love how they look.
Make sure it’s the dwarf type, I.e. ‘microphyllus’!
Great video 🥰 So good to see the gardens and greens...and you, my lovely and elegant friend! Hope to meet soon again! 🤗🤗
