Oliver Wallace was the composer 🎼 of lots of Disney’s animated shorts and Disney’s animated films including Dumbo (along with Frank Churchill), Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp as well as the live action films, he also acted as a live action reference for Sneezy in Snow White and played Circus Band Conductor in Toby Tyler, or Ten Weeks with a Circus
He also modeled (but not voiced) Dopey. But it was Wallace that modeled Sneezy
I absolutely love his score in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Especially the chase sequence!
I also read that he acted as a live action reference for Dopey in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Ohhh! that's interesting! I'll have to read into that!
@@Dizographies It’s on the DVD making of Snow White, I presume. But he still didn’t compose Snow White but rather acted as a live action reference
That was Eddie Collins.
@@bruceeng3376 Eddie Collins was NOT the only model for Dopey! He did model Dopey but Marge Champion and Oliver Wallace acted as a stand in for as Dopey, but Wallace also modeled for Sneezy but didn’t voice him as Billy Bletcher provided the voice. And here’s the thing, another model can also be used to perform references movements.
5:20 He also had another part in that movie, where he provided the voice of Mr. Winky during the Wind in the Willows segment.
And don’t forget that he’s also the model (NOT the voice) for Sneezy in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
I'm late, but thanks for the video.
No problem! Thanks for commenting :D
Lady and the tramp is truly some of his best work, Sidney Fine arranged and developed Lady’s theme. Ed Plumb is another favorite Disney composer of mine, Plumb had a greater ability to craft contemporary sounding music than Leigh Harline. To my knowledge, Ollie Wallace didn’t do orchestration. I love all the Disney musicians. I might do a documentary about Frederick Stark, but it’ll be a surprise.
I would love to see a documentary on him, let me know if you end up doing one! (I love documentaries :D)
th-cam.com/video/0E6-P5lJOwA/w-d-xo.html, there’s no audio narration because I’m kinda shy.
@@1960frj That was awesome! Such an interesting job, and was such an interesting person! Thank you for sharing. would you mind me doing my own version someday?
@@1960frj Also I read somewhere about doing a collaboration on a video, but I think the comment got deleted at some point. If your still interested, you can e-mail me at dizographies@gmail.com and we can talk :D
I would like for you to do your own version, I will email you and I’ll show you the pictures also.
