This is SO pretty! I’ve made several of the no sew tutus and I just do not love how the ends get all tangled up so frequently. I have had a sewing machine for longer than I’d like to admit and have never learned how to sew. I feel like this is something I could do though.
I’m making one for my 7 year old and myself for Halloween. Yep.. waited until the day before. I’m the biggest procrastinator 😬 I’m nervous about the cuts/measurements to have it long enough. I bought the rolls of tulle to do the it way I already know but I like this way so much more so I may go return all the rolls and get it by the yard instead.
Thank you so much for this! You are a great instructor. This was the first video I clicked when trying to learn how to do ribbon tutus. I've been doing no sew tutus for almost 5 years, and finally learned how to use my sewing machine. You make this so easy and clear! Subscribed and going to join your FB group. And congrats on hitting your goal of more than 50k for the year!!
I do have one question though. When using elastic for my no sew tutus, I always have a problem with it stretching out and it makes the tutu to wide after one or 2 wears. I reduce the size about 4-5 inches or more form their waist, but it seems to still stretch too much. Do you have any advice? is there a brand/type of elastic that I need to use, or a standard amount of inches that needs to be reduced. For example, if their waist is 35 in, I need 30 in of elastic, etc. Thanks in advance! I'm elevating my tutu business and will be marketing more adults, so I will need to get this elastic/waist part down
This is one of my go to person for tutorials because she’s so detailed. I recently did a set for my niece and it came out way better then I expected. I watched her videos several times and it really helped. I want to post pictures but TH-cam 🤦🏾♀️
Question: Would it be better to sew the ribbon ends together at the end, instead of using hot glue? I'm just curious cause I want to make sure it last a long time. I'm nervous they will come apart. You do some amazing work!! Thank you for this video, I learned a lot. You are very detailed with your information.
Thank you 😊. As always you did a great job at explaining...I'm almost done with the video but I havnt heard u mention what stitch did u use and how wide..Thank you again
Can I do this by hand? I have a tumbler business so I have away my sewing machine because it was too much learning that and keeping up with orders 😂 I’ve been sewing by hand since I was about 8 when my grandmother taught me
Loveeee this video! After you cut the inches you mentioned you then cut it in half. Did you just fold it and cut in order to get the 2 separate pieces (totaling the 6 pieces)? I might be over thinking it 😩
It looks so beautiful! When you are attaching the elastic, are the tulles all attached together? So like do you sew all the tulle colours together and then when you attach the elastic it goes through all of the tulle colours at once, or are the tulles not attached together and you have to add each tulle colour to the elastic as you go along? I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks
i had my first tutu swing yesterday , the problem i faced is the tutu is moved how can i make it stable, thug it was so fun and i am so proud of my self :) thank you

I use straight stitch
Do you also make embroidery Applique shirts? What stabilizer do you use.
Cut away
No but I want to get into it
How much do these go for?
It depends ..if asking to sell them add up all your material cost and how long it took you to make hoe much you want to pay yourself 💙
I was wondering instead of hot gluing the colours why not sew all the colours together at the start.
Yes you can do that as well..many ways on making them

When I folded the tulle and it has 4 ends it already comes folded in half
