this episode made me love every character more than I already did. Aegon's "oh, I had them hanged" never fails to make me laugh, he's so dumb there, I love him When he walk past Helaena I didn't saw that in a negative way. Aegon and Helaena aren't in love, their relationship isn't that of two lovers but of brother and sister. I feel like seeing Helaena perfomring her duty as queen, following their sons body made Aegon more like "okay, I see you, I respect that". Before that I think he didn't really notice her, but in this scene he does notice her (quite literally). I think this is kind of the first time he realizes that he's not the only one who lost a son.
what do you mean they are not in love ? they have love just not lovers love more like married couple with kids but also sibling love they grown to love each other and care Tom said Aegon feels more and more sympathy towards Helaena because she is the only person who understand what he is going through
I watched the episode with my friend and spent a particularly long time analyzing the conversation between Daemon and Rhaenyra. We came to one simple conclusion, which this conversation only confirmed (we thought so in the first season) - Daemon does not know how to communicate. He does not defend himself, he does not justify himself or apologize, and if he tries, it looks so perverse that it is understood by others as an additional insult (episode 1 of season 1 with Daemon's grief for Baelon in a brothel is an excellent confirmation). In this dialogue, he justifies himself three times in his own way: 1 time - when he repeats twice "no, I did not order the killing of Jaehaerys", 2 time - when he talks about the crown on Rhaenyra`s head, 3 time - when he literally screams (by the way, the loudest and most emotional words of the character in all the series) that he is gathering an army under the banner of Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra throws objective accusations, but it seems that in her whole life she has not learned to understand what answers she can get from her uncle. When the conversation came to the question "do you accept me as your queen", the subsequent question literally angered the already nervous Daemon. He clearly said everything that followed in order to hurt Rhaenyra more, and in response she twisted the knife already in his flesh with the phrase that Viserys never trusted him. Because Rhaenyra admitted in the first season that Viserys had appointed her heir in order to displace his brother. And another very interesting fact: Daemon did not call the throne "yours" (i.e. Rhaenyra`s) or "ours" if he wanted to attach himself to it. He said, "my brother's throne." Rhaenyra thinks that the main person in Daemon's life is himself, but that's not the case. This is Viserys - his king and god, an abnormal fixation, a perverted dependence on his recognition, love, praise. He didn't mourn his brother in real, just like Rhaenyra didn't mourn her losses either. As a result, they are just two tangles of pain and anger, spilling out on each other what they cannot on others. I really liked this scene and the dialogue, very deep and layered.
I'm so grateful for your reactions being so positive. Watching and embracing these characters with understanding and not hate. The fandom has been very fucking toxic with each other and unfortunately with some of the actors too. So having this space of understanding and not judgement is honestly refreshing and comforting that i feel a lot of reactors on youtube unfortunately lack. I dont mean people shouldnt give their opinions just do not hate on others and on the amazing actors that portray this characters. So THANK YOU guys soooo much for this POSITIVE take on the show and for creating this safe space among so much toxicity. Can't wait for the next episode cause thing are really boiling up.
Being online during the season break made me feel like I disliked the show. Then season 2 came out and I realized the only thing I disliked was the fandom. Watching the episodes themselves gave me nothing but joy. But the community can be so damn annoying that its nearly blinding.
@@rexibhazoboa7097 yeah, it's like people forget that we are on this fandom in the first place cause we love the show, and all the negativity just takes that joy away
So damn true. This is why I always wait for their reaction. They seem to truly understand the characters and notice emotional affects/ understanding of personal relationships/ have more empathy than the other react channels
@@rexibhazoboa7097 It may be your 'algorithmic bubble' of stuff that you're just happen to be seeing. Like I don't see a lot of negativity in terms of people talking about the show, but I don't see a lot of stuff about the show automatically I have to go searching on TH-cam to find people talking about it.
There is a reason Daemon is called The rogue Prince and I think was George's Favorite Charcter from his stories. He is absolutely my all time favorite character from the lore. can't be controlled and is the epitomoy of what a Targaryen Dragon Lord is. Never wanted the throne just wanted to be acknowledged and wanted the Targeryens to stay on top. he sees the weakness in Rheaynera just as he did in Viseries. He is loved by the common folk and was hated by anyone that had ambitions to the throne or to undermine the Targeryens because he was seen as their biggest threat.
"He must follow his own path" metaphorically means he needs to go and face his own inner demons. Self reflection by staring into abyss of everything that has tormented him (himself, Viserys and Rhaenyra) and sort his shit up instead of holding it in like hes been doing his whole life, and then decide what man he will become after that. So in other words, he went to get some therapy.
33:20 Daeron is the youngest child of Viserys and Alicent. He was sent to Oldtown to be raise and foster by his uncle (basically like Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon sent to be raise by Jon Arryn). They supposed to Introduce him in season 1 cause in the books he was a rival to Jace. He will play an important role in the war
BEST hotd reactions out here by a long shot! Really appreciate you two don’t just give us the boring side choosing reactions most people do, and that you do analysis on characters on both sides whether you like them or not.
Otto is not always right he think he is smart but he is not that smart and Cole plan was great it almost worked she only survived because Mysaria was there it was luck
Everyone is always saying that the main redeeming quality of Daemon is that he owes the fact that he's a piece of shit yet look at him here shutting his mouth and giving excuses. As Rhaenyra says, he's pathetic. He has always been pathetic.
Yeah I feel like the way I hear people describe Daemon and the way he's portrayed in the show are quite different. Does Show Daemon have any reedeming quality? He's never seen interacting with any of his kids, all he does is rage and plot wars on his own lol. But from what I hear he's supposed to be more layered than that. He's supposed to be the type of character that is very morally questionable but you still end up sort of rooting for during a big battle because he's fighting for someone that you, as the viewer, like. In a battle between Daemon and Criston Cole for example, I think people would cheer Daemon to defeat Criston lol. But I dont know, he feels quite one dimensional in the show to me.
@@qwerykk1410 No discussion about Cole, even tho in the book he's far better. Aegon tho - he's like, what, 40 years younger than Daemon? lmao not a very fair comparison. To the old ugly pedo called pathetic by his own wife, I mean.
@@silversaturns Nope. They always quoting the author with that dumb ''he's grey'' quote but its copium. Daemon fans are insane and live in an entire whole alternative dimension, don't mind them.
It's episodes like this that I start to see how the Targaryen and Hightower line(s) got wiped out. Obviously the dragons occurred because of magic, but the madness is strong.
the reality of this show is that they are all truly pitiful, there is no point in fighting over one side because they are all horrible in different ways and they will all have the same sad ending. That's why I watch it just for entertainment lol
You guys should try to save your thoughts and comments until the end. You miss important moments and dialogue by talking sometimes. For instance the scene at the beginning where aemond grabs the coin. In the first episode Blood (the golden cloak guy) snatched all those coins off the table because he was in that room looking to kill Aemond. One of the coins slipped under the table. Aemond finds the coin and then realizes blood was there for him and jaeharas was just an accident he was the real target. That moment was missed because in the first episode you guys were talking through that scene. Not a totally important thing to miss but at some point I think you guys will miss something you don’t want to miss
I understand what you're saying, finding the gold coin under the table was an important point, But they are reacting at the moment like all of us but reacting is the important and fun part of their channel.
Halaena always hated being touched and was always absent minded, so when she saw Aegon on the stairs, he knew he couldn't provide what she needed and she couldn't provide what he needed and he was hurting too bad to try.
Otto was 101% right about the funeral procession. Any other reaction would be extreme stupidity. This child is dead and nothing will change this, but doing this could have saved hundreds, or thousands of other children.
Anyone else sick of the constant gaslighting from “Team Black”, I’m not on either side as they’re all horrible but every time they do something, they just lie lie lie, deny deny deny. It’s exhausting.
LM Reactions and Nikki and Steven are my two top favorite reactors. Just pure class. TOP of the reaction game. Been a fan for a loooong time. With the compassion and attention to detail! Its just another level. Brings joy to me! Thank you ladys!
Rhaenyra sees her son crying : she hugs him . Alicent sees her son crying : she leaves the room to go sleep with a prick . Aegon is a wacko but Alicent is responsible for him becoming that way she had a bad father so she became a bad mother . I don't feel bad for her , she's a grown ass woman but always chooses something and then cry when the consequences come at least Otto is committed and doesn't cry or whine when consequences come his way lol And just to clarify Alicent's room is across Helena's so Cole could've saved the boy ALSO I'm assuming that he and Alicent stopped Helena from getting a protector because if there was someone standing by Helena's room they couldn't F.... I guess that's why they feel extra guilty. I love Rhaenyra bit #teamthesmallfolk
You lack understanding for Alicent's character. Rheanyra had her kids out of love, Alicent had her kids out of duty at the age of 15. Rheanyra had Laenor and Harwin to help raise her kids, Alicent had Viserys who forgot he had kids with her. It is not surprising that Alicent wouldn't know how to comfort her children. About the rooms, I dont know how you know where Helaena's room is respective to Alicent's but the murder happened in the children's room which was far away from Alicent's room as we saw.
@@rexibhazoboa7097 And we just saw Alicent seeking help and consolation from her own father, who just said "i don't want to hear of it". Its a cycle of dysfunctionality. Writers are fucking Alicent's character up but even then some people lack the brains needed to understand the most basic shit.
I'm so tired of how everyone treats Aegon in this series and outside of it. No one treats him with any sympathy. I really liked the Scene with Aemond in the Whorehouse with the same lady who eyeballed him in Season 1 when he and Criston visited looking for Aegon. Her playing with his hair as he reveals his feelings towards the Luke incident in season 1 is a good scene. Im also so happy to see Adamm and Alyn Hull. These two characters are among my favorite heroes of the Dance of the Dragons
In the show the problem is his family simply don't know how to comfort each other. All of them had the chance but they always turn their backs and leave, Aegon walked away from Helaena, Otto didn't want to listen to Alicent's confession, and then Alicent walks away from Aegon. But outside of the show I see a lot of people praising TGC's performance and understanding the characters angry outburts, he just lost his child after all.
awesome reaction can you look up Last Exile original and react to it? it's the most underrated anime series of all time it needs to be more known today
here is some context without spoilers, don't worry, the show is not going to tell you, and you need to keep this in mind if you haven't read the books: Daeron Targaryen is the fourth and last son of alicent and viserys. he is almost the same age as jace (the difference is minimal, maybe a couple of months) and together with his other three brothers he is also a dragon rider. at the age of twelve he was sent to old town (where the Hightowers live and where the maesters are trained) to become the cupbearer and squire of Lord Hightower (Otto's brother) that is why daeron does not appear in the first big time jump where the adult versions of Alicent and Rhaenyra were shown for the first time (chapter six). Pd: in game of thrones many things were omitted, but this is just an extra fact that broadens your perception of this world. I don't know if you remember Margaery Tyrell, from game of thrones, well she descends from the Hightowers, her mother Alerie Tyrell who didn't appear in the show is the daughter of the Hightower lord of her time, which would make Alicent her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-aunt (give or take a few "greats")
This is book information. In the show, Daeron cannot be the same age as Jace because Aemond is about Jace's age already. Daeron has to be the same age as Luke or less. Aemond is 15, Jace is 15, Luke was14.
Cole's MO is projection. Starts a relationship with a child he knew he couldn't stay in a relationship with, blames her when that doesn't work, not himself. Shirks his duty again for sex, projects his guilt onto others again. Actor is doing a fantastic job though.
Absolutely on the second half but.. Starts a relationship? Rhaenyra pressured to have sex with him once. Considering westero's (messed Up) societal values and the power dinamics between the two, he had reasons to feel manipulated into crime and sin. His proposal was to escape was to save his honor, not to pursue love or a relationship.
Only rumors and at the same time Cole is supposed to be smarter in the books. He has a lot more voice in some of the decisions and people view him as the biggest of the main instigators in crowning Aegon.
This much I can tell you, he is the one who rejected Rhaenyra, not the other way around. He doesn't get beaten by Harwin, he is famous for breaking Harwin's bones.
Cole in the books is pretty much a badass. This version of him as a flawed, guilt scarred and resentful man IS interesting, but they've replaced all his moments of badassery with half-assed and unsuccessful schemes.
Wait did you just said "who the fuck is Daeron " ?????? Girls some of us are watching this whole DRAGON SHOW for Daeron the darling of the realm. Bro Daeron The Daring is going to be the only character who will be loved by both team black and team green fans. His entry in the war will be a surprise and glorious ❤❤❤❤
Otto's scene was terribly writen. He was about to send Westerling (the last Lord Commander), the most loyal and honest man in the room, to assassinate Rhaneyra. Yet the plan about Arryk is dumb for him? He also commanded him to murder Rhaenyra's babies but now he's screaming about Aegon killing innocent people. And at least Arryk was literally about to slay Rhaenyra had he run towards her instead of stopping to talk. The plan was not dumb whatsoever. Could've been successful even with Mysaria's intervention.
1. Daemon didn't lie. I think you ladies forgot he specifically said that the men were to go after Aemond. He literally said he has silver hair and one eye. It was only when they asked what they were to do if they couldn't find Aemond, that Daemon said, " A son for a son.". 2. You asked where Daemon was going. He said he was going to Harrenhal to raise an army for Rhaenyra. 3. BEHOLD THE WORKS OF RHAENYRA TARGARYEN! PRETENDER TO THE THRONE! KINSLAYER! DEFILER OF THE INNOCENT! BEHOLD THE WORKS OF RHAENYRA THE CRUEL!
Otto's overreaction is so out of character. The whole point of smearing Rheanyra's name is to get support from the other houses and to stop her from getting support. Aegon only killed the ratcatchers that were employed at the Red Keep. 10, one of them being the one that killed his son. Otto pleads for the consequence it could have towards the commoners but this is an unprecedented thing. Sure, some people might be heavily affected but its not like they would revolt over that. It just felt rushed how Otto overreacted, when he was killing nobles that didn't bend the knee (which is arguably more impactful than killing 10 commoners, when even Daemon in S1 killed and maimed a bunch of thieves and low lifes) and how he was ready to send assassins to kill Rhaenyra in S1.
In addition to the blockade on King's Landing by the blacks which is greatly affecting the smallfolk they also see their king killing innocent men, of course that'd lead them eventually to riot. So, Otto has all the right to overreact
wait youre absolutely right i forgot he intented to send a kingsguard to murder rhaenyra in her sleep in s1 lmao, cole's plan was somewhat better he had the twin card at least (and asked to rhaenyra "only" while i think otto meant to go for the children as well, how would the nobles react to a whole family murder?)
@vbb2076 Lmao you guys with the room temperature iq. He intended to send someone to kill her because they had no other choice but now they found a better alternative plan with Jaehaerys death that helped them spread their propaganda and win the support of the smallfolk which can double their chances of winning the war without spilling blood but now Aegon and Cole ruined that with their plans
If I had a quid for each episode of HotD S2 so far where the violent dramatic climax of the episode is undercut by Alicent Hightower getting porked by Criston Cole, I’d have £2… which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
I guess people forget Aegon having his bastard in the fighting pits also daemon literally said aemond when he told blood and cheese lol aemond is a son I don’t get the confusion.
@@jo0rd73 eh I don’t know why erryk would know and he wouldn’t lol but still don’t make it any better at all not like he care for bastards anyway shown with his nephews
It’s confirmed that Aegon is completely unaware of his bastards, the boy we saw in season 1 would’ve been born while Aegon was young teenager. Tom Glynn-Carney himself has said that Aegon has no clue that kid exists.
@@Ivbo didn’t know that but what I said still stands lol he enjoy watching kids fight as well if he know it’s his or not don’t matter but hopefully comes up…plus it’s unlikely he would care anyway given his views on bastards
@@Caraxes_RoguePrince Jaime Lannister forced himself onto his own sister next to their dead kids body, throws a child out a tower and murders his own cousin in cold blood…yet he’s still one of the greatest and most beloved characters in all of ASOIAF, who is capable of love and honour. I find it funny that out of all these grey characters it seems like Aegon is only one you guys have a problem with being humanised and complex…a character can be capable of both good and evil, just look at your own pfp.
The fact that Arryk called Rhaenyra Your Grace before taking his own life, is another omen of which side the show in pointing people to choose. The greens as shown in this episode had no love for each other, and even partings like Rhaenyra x Daemon is dealt with pain, while whith the greens is always to see who has the greater power. Arryk realizing Rhaenyra would never give him such an order and recognizing her as his true Queen is one of my favorite scenes. (There is a chance I may be confusing the brothers, but I'm quite sure Eryk was the one that died first, which despite being tragic makes everything more beautiful).
They have butched Daemon character in the show, in the books he loves his daughters, is a good father and does everything for Rhaenyra. The show has made him evil and incompetent. They haven't done a good job with team black young kids as well.
And in the books Rhaenyra and Alicent are one note villains. Not every change has been bad and Daemon still remains to be a complex and sympathetic character a lot of people root for.
@@Soup-eo2mw not true lol writers specifically said he cares for his family(obviously not the green side) so seems like a redemption type thing coming in a way and in the books he’s definitely don’t just care for his own glory lol sure he care about it but saying only is a lie for no reason
I honestly think the people that say this literally never read Fire and Blood and are only repeating what they heard other people say. We literally never get any interaction with Daemon and his children in the book. The one instance in Fire and Blood that mentions his relationship with any of his kids is when someone sends him a letter telling him Baela has been fraternizing with the boys and they should try to get her married before she loses her virginity. And we don’t even get to see Daemons response. That’s literally it. Fire and Blood is written as a historical document with various sources. The sources were not concerned about what Daemon was like as a father, whether he was good or bad, and thus never commented on it. People need to let go for their head canon version of what they want it to say.

Fandoms are ridiculous these days. IDK why people need to act like characters in TV shows is some kind of moral crusade they need to argue about.

“Who the fuck is Daeron?” 😆
Kin slaying is the worst thing you can do in Westeros you are curse by people forever and by Gods people say, this show do not remind of it enough
You two and "The Dragon show" = gold.
Daeron Targaryen is the Alicent’s fourth and youngest kid.
Keep an eye on his character. He is as important Aegon and Aemond to the Greens’ storyline.
Otto is not always right he think he is smart but he is not that smart and Cole plan was great it almost worked she only survived because Mysaria was there it was luck
the queen could identify the guilty ratcatcher or am I tripping
Yes, aegon just being stupid
But he just want it to kill like a mad man....
@@apeDLuffuYeah, he just wanted quick revenge. He is impulsive

Otto called attempted murder a prank 😂😂😂😂 your right sometimes this shit is a comedy and it’s hilarious
Everyone is always saying that the main redeeming quality of Daemon is that he owes the fact that he's a piece of shit yet look at him here shutting his mouth and giving excuses. As Rhaenyra says, he's pathetic. He has always been pathetic.
Not as pathetic as a Crispin or aegon or most people on the other side soo yeah😂😅
@@qwerykk1410 i mean at least aegon is 20, its pathetic to be this way at the ripe age of 50
Yeah I feel like the way I hear people describe Daemon and the way he's portrayed in the show are quite different.
HxH Rip 🪦
the reality of this show is that they are all truly pitiful, there is no point in fighting over one side because they are all horrible in different ways and they will all have the same sad ending. That's why I watch it just for entertainment lol

Lol no he would not. And it's actually mentioned in the books that he was a threat to rhaenyra's rule @@hereiam8
He was a threat but not the biggest.
I understand what you're saying, finding the gold coin under the table was an important point, But they are reacting at the moment like all of us but reacting is the important and fun part of their channel.
they do fine, and if they miss anything they always catch it when they edit the reaction and discuss it at the start of the next episode reaction.

Rhaenyra sees her son crying : she hugs him .
Alicent sees her son crying : she leaves the room to go sleep with a prick .
Aegon is a wacko but Alicent is responsible for him becoming that way she had a bad father so she became a bad mother . I don't feel bad for her , she's a grown ass woman but always chooses something and then cry when the consequences come at least Otto is committed and doesn't cry or whine when consequences come his way lol
And just to clarify Alicent's room is across Helena's so Cole could've saved the boy ALSO I'm assuming that he and Alicent stopped Helena from getting a protector because if there was someone standing by Helena's room they couldn't F....
I remember Halaena running a while to Alicent's room, so no---you just hating lol.
I appreciate that the show has humanized Aegon II a bit instead of making him Joffery 2.0.
Haelena has do go downstairs to find Alicent and Cole
I didn’t think Dearon would be on the show good to know he is
I'm so tired of how everyone treats Aegon in this series and outside of it.
He a grapist lmao
He deserves no sympathy lmfao
who has sympathy for a rapist?
@@goldenanaa1881 Maybe the same people who have sympathy for a murderer.
Wait for Daeron
Cole is the biggest villain in this show

the dragon show!
awesome reaction
can you look up Last Exile original and react to it?
it's the most underrated anime series of all time
it needs to be more known today
here is some context without spoilers, don't worry, the show is not going to tell you, and you need to keep this in mind if you haven't read the books:
Daeron Targaryen is the fourth and last son of alicent and viserys.
he is almost the same age as jace (the difference is minimal, maybe a couple of months) and together with his other three brothers he is also a dragon rider. at the age of twelve he was sent to old town (where the Hightowers live and where the maesters are trained) to become the cupbearer and squire of Lord Hightower (Otto's brother) that is why daeron does not appear in the first big time jump where the adult versions of Alicent and Rhaenyra were shown for the first time (chapter six).
Have you ever seen Dexter?

Is it really that shitshow with Cole in the books?
Only rumors and at the same time Cole is supposed to be smarter in the books. He has a lot more voice in some of the decisions and people view him as the biggest of the main instigators in crowning Aegon.
This much I can tell you, he is the one who rejected Rhaenyra, not the other way around. He doesn't get beaten by Harwin, he is famous for breaking Harwin's bones.
y will be supris and shock how they fck up his charac in the show when y read cole V of the book

Otto was like "i m surrounded by idiots"😂😂😂
Otto's scene was terribly writen. He was about to send Westerling (the last Lord Commander), the most loyal and honest man in the room, to assassinate Rhaneyra. Yet the plan about Arryk is dumb for him? He also commanded him to murder Rhaenyra's babies but now he's screaming about Aegon killing innocent people. And at least Arryk was literally about to slay Rhaenyra had he run towards her instead of stopping to talk. The plan was not dumb whatsoever. Could've been successful even with Mysaria's intervention.
This episode was pure comedy i couldnt stop laughing otto-s performance 😂😂
Pleasee Do hunter x hunter❤❤
Agreed, he wanted to send people to kill Rhaenyra in season 1, now he's mad that Aegon actually did that
wait youre absolutely right i forgot he intented to send a kingsguard to murder rhaenyra in her sleep in s1 lmao, cole's plan was somewhat better he had the twin card at least (and asked to rhaenyra "only" while i think otto meant to go for the children as well, how would the nobles react to a whole family murder?)
We don’t know if he’s aware that the boy is his I think. Though betting on kids that aren’t yours isn’t a whole lot better….
It was Eryk that killed himself. The show runners alredy confirmed it.But i agree ith the rest that you said.
Hypeeeee!
They have butched Daemon character in the show, in the books he loves his daughters, is a good father and does everything for Rhaenyra. The show has made him evil and incompetent. They haven't done a good job with team black young kids as well.
I honestly still think it’s coming with the writers words it sounds like daemon will have the most intriguing story in ways for this season.
Daemon is a complete psychopath, he only cares for his own glory and impulses, this is no different in the books
