The thing is, Lexus never made it to compete with M3/C63/S4, it's the people that made it a thing. IS-F had a tiny fraction of money and small team to develop that model. And we should compare apples to apples. From what they've got, they made a miracle, not a car. Yukihiko Yaguchi is a legend.
What a video! Love this ISF. I too was a Honda lad. Had a B16 EG back in the day.. Now I'm a Lexus head. Had an RCF a few years ago then my daughter came along. Needed something practical, so ended up with a RX. I need 2UR-GSE in my life again and I'm thinking to get one of these or a GSF. I'll be absolutely skint with a GSF though This really gave me inspiration. The new camera looks amazing on my NEO QLED... Would love to know what compound he uses to detail the ISF too. Looks so shiny
@rich_isf9043 love what you did with the headlights. The Vland look so cheap. Would ruin it. How much did Lexus charge for the lights, if you dont mind me asking?
People are really trying to push these HP numbers up. The only way this is making 550 to the crank is with FBO a nasty tune and an RCF swap. Mine made 432whp which is a good number for these and that is just north of 500bhp.
Whats your point? Yeah, 500hp is about the max for an ISF with no boost or nitrous. The original title on the video was 550hp lexus sedan, or something close to that. He changed it.
@NormalMonkey That's good numbers for 91oct. My car had 157k miles but it was on the dyno at about 140k miles or so. Bought it with 112k for $15.5k. I love my car.
There is absolutely no way the ISF can achieve 550bhp with a tune and bolt on mods, not even 500bhp. It is more like 470bhp, I have owned two of them before. If it had a genuine 550bhp it would pulling deep into an 11 second quarter mile, which I doubt this car has achieved.
Were you tuned by reflash with your two cars? I've been following the platform for a while and it was definitely capped for a long time on what FBO + tune could do but Reflash has made a huge difference on these cars with most of them being 11 second cars now running all full E85 + proper transmission tuning. Most of those cars are making 460+ wheel horsepower (not sure how that translates to brake horsepower)
It's not 550. I don't know what it is yet, but it's definitely not 550 NA. I'll surpass that with FI, but we're not there yet. I think the 550 is a typo as I even state in the vid, I don't know the actual numbers (because I don't chase numbers or care too much about them).
@carsaregood911 Yeah, I think crank is around or over 500 depending on the strength of the engine, so my tuner states. I definitely need to get it on a dyno, just to give me a number to quote. The issue is finding a 'true' dyno and not one that inflates the numbers.
@@carsaregood911 My FBO ISF put out 330 whp on my friends dyno in Western Australia. It still went like a cut snake, the dyno is simply a tuning tool and will vary from dyno to dyno, and dynos can be manipulated to show just about any number.
@@gavinr9107 That's very low and hopefully not accurate. I mostly agree with what you're saying but calibrated correctly, I believe 400-430whp is what I've seen on an FBO setup
I think this was sold for 10K on Ebay or something like that. The problem with that one was it had close 200k miles and original colour was red. I saw that circus for 13k could have had cleaned one from FB...
"Erm".....never nice watching yourself on video 🤣🤣
Thanks for inviting me along dude, really enjoyed the day 🙏🏽

Beautiful car!
@DOXI305 too kind, thank you!
@rich_isf9043 ..what are the wheel and tire specs on the isf?? .they look really nice

Hands down the nicest ISF in the UK!
Thank you, appreciate it!
I have had mine for over 10 years now. The idea of selling it has never crossed my mind. Love my IS-F.
Loving the new camera set up Adam have a great Christmas mate to you and your family 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
Absolutely love these think Forza 4 or 5 was my introduction, this ones stunning id take this over a C63 or M3
As a dude who started with Honda's I agree with what he said about the engine. My 2012 ISF feels like a grown up rwd version of my old DC5.
What a lovely car! Got me thinking about something like that next now 😬 The DJi footage looks nice and crisp too 👌
My cousin has one of these IS-F! He was a Honda bro first 😅 still owns his prelude tho.
He came over to the Toyota side of being smart man

Always liked the ISF, sadly under appreciated, lexus still makes really nice cars the LC500 is beautiful
Prices for most isf are still WAY up lol
In the United States they are still getting the IS500. I love the latest shape of the IS, not a full F car but has the awesome 5.0.
I really wish people would mention that the later year ISF models were just as good as the M3
They were as good as M3 as stock. Once you put few mods then ISF beats everything from those years.
@@damiang9562 As an ISF owner, not true, a C63 would destroy it with mods too

@@damiang9562 Yeah a C63 with FBO would walk it out for sure.

Any ISF sold on EBAY would more than likely be sold in America.
