As a female veteran who gave 31 years in the service of our country, I'm glad we are finally starting to be recognized on a level field with our male counterparts. I still get "looks" when I park in a veterans parking space; many people think just my husband is the "veteran" in the family. Thank goodness it is getting better and maybe one day our sisters still serving won't have to endure what we did.
