Correction: The bulb can be turned on without turning on the grinder. I got one myself a few days ago. I thought something was wrong when you said the bulb couldn't be turned on without turning on the motor, because sometimes you need to check the object you work on to make sure how to work on it. You don't have to turn on the motor just to turn on the bulb.
Update, I worked on it some more by taking it completely apart. Stuck the shaft on my lathe and found the right end where the stone mounts to be actually 4 or so thousands off. So basically it was not machined properly and is actually crooked to the shaft. So nothing can make it straight. Well, I did by adding thin cardboard to straighten out the wheel to an acceptable flatness. So good luck .
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ yea, just going to be used as a junker, just for rough grinding so I dont mess up the wheels on a good grinder when I find one. Need to cut lathe bits and such.
Great video! I’m trying to find a bench grinder that is quiet to use as a motor for a tennis ball thrower for my dog. Judging by 3:44 this seems to be the quietest I’ve found and one of the cheapest to boot.
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I got you. If you have some 1/2" washers lying around you can use them to shim it so the wire wheel is centered in the guard and will tighten down correctly. If not I ordered the forney 72750 wire wheel and it fit just fine. Good luck!
very helpful had the same wire brush in my cart. like your style, good job.
Thanks for watching!
Great video .. the brush wheel can work you’ll need spacer .. see attached video this guy shows you the half inch spacer needed ..
Thanks for watching Kevin! Appreciate the information
Are they good enough to sharpen commercial mower blades
Thanks for watching! I haven’t tried

How are you feeling about the machine now, any updates! I can really only afford this 6in WEN or a Bauer and could use some input. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! It does still work, I might lean toward the Bauer Sind you do the extended warranty
You don't have a bolt or screw in your house? A nail? Anything? It would be nice to know if it bogs-down under use.
Thanks for watching! After a year’s use it still works, however it is light duty if you’re looking for more than that you should go bigger
I have a wen Drexel tool, and it's about 5 years old still going
Thanks for Watching! Good to know!
Can you plug in a extension cord???
Thanks for watching! Yes
Just got one and tried to put wire wheel but did not work. Is there spacers or washers that you need?
Thanks for watching! Mine didn’t work either
Yup, you need a spacer. Easy to make. Or just take the cover off. But you do that at your own risk.
Thanks for Watching George!

Wow! I wouldn’t use it like that Curtis

Sounds like it runs smooth.
Johnny Long Seems like it does, time will tell. Thanks for Watching Johnny!
Good stuff
Antonio Anderson Roblero Thank you! I appreciate you Watching!
Wire wheel will absolutely work with it you just ordered the wrong type
Thanks for watching! I ordered the one that was recommended for the grinder. You are correct tho, I just need to find the right size

I was looking to do the same. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you!
What's the correct one?
Not the cheapest medium duty 6 inch. Ryobi and Bauer each sell one that's a few bucks cheaper.
Thanks for Watching! I appreciate the feedback
Looks good, hope it lasts for ya!
Eastwind Farms Thanks for Watching! Me Too! I don’t do a bunch of grinding, time will tell
