Love your channel and I don’t try shoes casually without seeing what you say first 😅 and this title stopped me in my tracks. How is the upper for these compared to the Invincible 3? I know you aren’t a fan of the Nike upper (me either esp. for summer).
There's the Adistar BYD that uses Repetitor 2.0 and Lightstrike Pro with a carbon plate. It also has Continental rubber. It's available overseas but not in the US yet.
@heskicks thanks for the review. In a choice between these or the SL2 as a shoe for walking around town, to various jobs and just casual wear, which would you pick? Not looking at either for serious running. I'd like to hear your verdict on these head to head given the similar price. Thanks 🙂

I never cared nor thought about shoes at all. I realized that as a 48 year old I had been killing my feet by not caring and came across your channel when searching for shoes. I have since bought the Nimbus 25, 1080 v13, Rebel v4 and On Cloudsurfer. I wear the all black Nimbus 25's and 1080 v13's to the office and I cannot believe the difference they have made in reducing my foot and hip pain. Your style of comfort is very similar to mine and I wanted to thank you as these shoes have literally improved my quality of life.
Among all these 4, which one do you think is the softest and best breathability?
@@lukeisluke3104 Softest, Nimbus 25, close second 1080v13. Breathable is the On's with the Rebels close 2nd, however, I also have a newer On shoe called the Cloudtilt which is maybe the lightest and most breathable shoe out of all of these. Cushion is definitely good as well and blows away the Cloud 5s
Agreed. Out of your list, I own the Nimbus 25 as well as a pair of 1080 v11 (although I've tried all of the shoes you list.) The Nimbus 25 is the most plush shoe I've ever worn. It's not even really all that close. The Cloud 5s are from a totally different era from On. Although, I still love the look of the Cloud 5 (I've got three pairs of them.)

My girlfriend is a nurse and had horrible foot pain for a long time. Got her to wear UBs and the pain is gone.
I purchased the Berlin pair after watching your video and oh boy you were not wrong the comfort is up there with my invincible run

Nice review love the old ultraboost feel. So question unrelated to Adi, any ideas when the Cloudsurfer Next will drop? I see it’s on REI’s website for pre order now so must be available soon.
I have adistar 2, the thing I like for that pair is it feels like a Birkenstock for a running shoes, which provide a lots arch support for long distance run. In addition, it adjust running style ( moving from heal strike to mid foot strike)
If Adistar 3 is like Invincible then I wonder what Adistar BYD would feel like

im pretty sure his color grading is very cold and blue tones. What a shame cuz it looks way better in the video than on the site lol
The midsole design reminds me so much of the Predator soccer cleats back in the late 90s. But you’re right, it’d be a slam dunk if they use the continental rubber outsole instead of the trashy Adiwear rubber. I easily wear Adiwear soles out in less than half a year whereas Continental rubber would last me a year. Come on Adidas, just put continental rubber on everything!!

Just bought Pegasus 41 and New Balance 860v14. Used to be a huge OG ultraboost fan. This seems like a good step in reviving the brand though, because the ultraboost 5x isn't doing anything for me really.

@@stevenp2309 If he did, I missed it. Someone else in the comments mentioned that the video settings may have affected the color shown. They could be one in the same as the website, which would be unfortunate, since his colorway is much cleaner looking.

I recently bought the Rebel v4 and I'm pleased with it. The colorway is a bit on the ugly side, but overall they are very comfy.
I think however the Invincibles are still my #1 in terms of comfort. Comparing this pair to them is definitely hyping me.
My Adistar 3 are coming tommorow if you want i can tell you my experience. Im about to find the most comfortable and plushy shoe and tested many already like Invincible 3, Bondi 8, 1080v13, Rebel V4, Cloudsurfer and many other cant list them all over 20 pairs

Honestly so far my personal top 3 in terms of overall comfort including upper, tongue and everything are: 1: Nike Infinity Run 4, 2: Nimbus 26, 3: Cloudsurfer 7.
However the softest and best cushioning are definitly: 1. 1080v13, 2. Fresh More V4, 3. Invincible 3
did you get a pre-production model or something? The Silver Pebble / Putty Grey / Olive Strata adistar 3 on the site is alot more green and darker looking. I like the one you have in the video alot more

Hey HK, I enjoy your content, and I wanted to share a thought. If you're ever looking for some additional content, I think your style of reviews would be welcomed in the safety shoe niche. Not really safety boots, but shoes that look athletic and casual for the person that needs a safety toed shoe for work requirements, but it doesn't have to be extremely rugged and durable. There's more and more composite toe shoes with casual designs coming out. There's possibly a huge market to tap into out there of people looking for good quality in-depth reviews regarding comfort and weight.

At first glance... These are basically Adidas Hokas... the laces, outsole, midsole aesthetic
"Simple" can produce some fantastic looking shoes. Not all shoes have to look like a seven year old designed them.
The filter on this video flattens out the color not sure if it was intended to match the colorway of the shoe or not but if it was intentional you nailed it

So Adidas just put all their innovation into this new lineup and totally ignored their flagship ultraboost 😅
No they just understand that ultraboost alone is not enough. They need a few more good cushioned models , like Nike has invincible run, infinity run , pegasus 41 etc.. and new balance fresh foam , fuell cell , rebel , etc

Because opinions are objective. You know that, right? Hes has definitely put me on to some shoes, reaffirmed some of the opinions I have, but also recommended shoes I did not like.
The invincible Run, to me, are THE squishiest shoes I've ever had, and I have a ton of them, with the Lerato, ZX 2K Boost, EQT 93/17 being my favorites right under the Invincible Run. For him to make that claim is bold. I'm going to try them because of his recommendation, but I am allowed to be skeptical.
For casual wear, I could see that happening. For running might be a whole different story.
