    Props for your continuing reminders on a healthy release. I love the idea of letting them catch their "breath" before the measure / photo session. I've always told people to hold your breath when you pull the fish out of the water, and get it back in the water before you take another breath. It puts things in perspective and makes people aware of just how long they keep them out.

    They inhaled those mullet, bummer about the rod but ya that hi- stick will get ya, keep em low and down and dirty , luv’n the slo- mo shots , what’a day ! Now bring out the fly rod and flog the water with a 8-10” inch articulated big mullet fly and hang on , it’s about to get real ! 👍🏼. Oh ya no hi- stick’n ! 🤣. Tight lines bro !

    I’d put money that fish 1 and 2 were the same fish. To me they were both 39 inches and that’s why the fight was so weak on the second one and had a bloody lip from catching her earlier. Just my thoughts.

    Broke a st. croix doing similar…they’re sending me a new one, but it costs $50. Reviews of the new mojo inshore are horrible. Hoping for the best. Rad video!

      The mojo inshore replaced the tide master which broke for anything terrible rod I have an avid that I love!! I started with a premier and for a jerk bait rod it’s still my favorite but the tide master and clearly all they did was change the name is god awful broke 2 in two outings and the second one was ridiculous

      You wanna match the hook to the size of the bait you’re throwing, making sure the hook is stout enough to handle the fish you’re going after.

    I love your video, but I have to ask. Your gear seems kinda light for the size fish your where after. I used to deep water fish in Southern California back in 84. I used and still have my Newell P454-F, on a 5.5 foot long Kunnan stick. Caught some good big fish on that rig. Don't know why I still have it though. Stay safe and keep you rline tight and your hooks sharp.

    Great thing about Fenwick is they’ll warranty that rod for $10. They have the easiest and best warranty process I have found yet

      @@kalebholland7342 how so? Most Fenwick rods if you buy at a local tackle shop they’re over the counter warranties as well. I’ve heard bull bay has a good warranty as well I’ve just found Fenwick the easiest and fastest (as long as rod is in stock) to deal with

      @@stevestory8483 my bull bay dealer does over the counter exchanges on rods if you bought it from him. I have replaced a couple without spending a penny other than the gas to get there. Basically as long as you didn't slam it in the door in front of him, it's a manufacturer defect free exchange

    Have you considered using a shorter rod? I'd use a lighter weight vertical jigging rod. They can hold up to high sticking and unnatural angles alot better.

    The rod broke because you kept messing with the drag while you were fighting the fish...and you tightened it too much. Nice fish though.

      I'm good with hardware but I remember when you got one you had to wait on something , was it the spacers n if so how many ? I'm running a 9.9 Suzuki basically the same mounting as your Yamaha.
