  • Study along with Melissa Lucy as I go over what you'll need to know about significant figures. We'll specifically go over all the rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and what to do when multiple operations are in one problem. You'll need a piece of paper and a pencil ready because we will also do some practice problems to help you get ready for your next exam.

Hi thank you so much for these videos! I’m currently taking gen chem 1 as well and I was so confused on how you find out the amount of neutrons but you really helped break that down. The only thing that still messes me up are dig figs when you have a mixture of rules in one equation.

I am going to be taking basic chemistry this spring. I have never taken a chem class and stumbled across your videos. I started watching your playlist that is listed as “start here.”
If I go through this entire playlist, does this pretty much sum up what my basic chem class will consist of? Is there another playlist in addition to this that I need to watch?

I'm following along but getting a different answer for question 2.
    5110x21.20/(44.11+1.223)
    (44.11+1.223)=45.333
    5110×21.20=108332
    108332÷45.333=2389.694042
