I also remember seeing a mock up of the XPT carriage at the old Sydney Easter Show in Moore Park a couple of years before the XPT was introduced in NSW. My first ride was on the Central West XPT from Sydney Central to Dubbo soon after they were introduced.
Hello John. I decided to change it up with an old video. I love that easter show, I remember seeing a model at a Mini Railway (hint on one of the new videos coming). I can imagine the excitement of it arriving. You did see my first ride/tour today. Good fun. I know these are similar to the UK HSTs 125s but I didn't expect to see a drivers keys which looks identical to ours in the UK which we use on all traction.

They are very similar in design and with design they have to make a fitting cab and then a fitting mechanical system.
