I am also an Electronics Engineer from Colombia, and I would love to learn more about Machine Learning, I will follow all your advice, thank you! Your video will be a valuable tool! THANK YOU
The most important step: Have a masters in Engineering Design and a bachelor's in electronics and electrical engineering. I am not trying to dismiss the youtuber's hardwork. I am sure they worked very hard. But they also had a very good background even if it wasn't technically "computer science". Electrical Engineering is the closest to Computer Engineering out of all the "traditional" engineering disciplines. And the Bachelor's and Masters would give employers a lot of confidence in your math and implementation background
Becoming a machine learning engineer without a CS degree or PhD is entirely possible with the right approach. Dive into online courses and bootcamps to master key ML concepts and coding skills. Get hands-on by working on exciting projects and competing in challenges, and don’t forget to network with industry experts. With determination and creativity, you can carve out a path to success in the world of machine learning!
I've taken college course on ml topics such as basic algorithms all the way up to deep learning. I've done all your steps. Have done tons of exploratory research and applications of all types of models(vision, language, text to speech, speech to text). Did some research in school even with computer vision and graduated with bachelors in comp sci. But no one will hire me as ml engineer I feel like I'm just as qualified maybe it's just more competitive in the US. no one wants me as ml engineer only as software dev or eng. been doing ml stuff for 4 years now but no one wants me
It was very useful video, I'm MJ from India graduating in course Artificial intelligence and machine learning and wanna do MS in AI ML which is the perfect country and University to do it or should I continue with a job . Can u please guide to be master in AI
Good one and very inspiring!!. Being an Electrical Engineer was definately helpful. Do you do any Data sourcing and cleansing and do u use SQL in your job?
Could you make a video on the application process for someone without a degree to join the field? Also, how exactly u leverage the papers with code? My last question, is as a ML engineer, I see u shared all ML resources but what about the software ones? Any tips advice on how to develop those to become full stack ML engineer?
Your video was really helpful at least I have a clear clue of my pathway now. Thanks so much . One question is do I need to start with Data Science to be a ML engineer because this is what I have come across most on the internet . I have a good command in python and currently on the IBM data science course after which I want to take the ML course . Do you think learning Data Science first is a waste of time ? And Is there a way to contact you for one on one mentorship. I don’t mind paying please. Thank you
I'm really glad you find the video helpful :) i think DS can be helpful as it helped me to get a decent grasp on how to work with and understand data and after that I was able to move on to the more complex ML algorithms. And sure you can reach me at themlengineer@gmail.com
Hi Eniola, great video thank you! One question how long did it take for you to go through those steps, and literally learn everything you mentioned? Thank you!
Thanks for this beautiful info, Can you please tell that how much duration you taken for learning this skill.....And Lastly Nice video, And good Explanation, LIKED AND SUBSCRIBED KEEP IT UP👍👍👍
the probability and statistics course is no longer offered on the original stanford openedx site www.classcentral.com/course/stanford-openedx-probability-and-statistics-6346 but you can find the same course content in the link i added to the description
Although the information in the video is valuable, placing "no degree or doctorate" in the title is clickbait. All companies welcome those who studied engineering with open arms, regardless of their major or specialty. It doesn't work for those who want the perspective of an autodidact.
You still have a background in Maths ...🤔, But I guess that's how it has to be considering that Machine learning algorithms are advanced stats and algebra ....
You don’t have a CS background, but you have engineering ones, which are quite similar. so I don’t see how can this video be persuasive😅 Don’t get me wrong, I definitely believe that people can enter machine learning field without a CS degree, just don’t think that you are the suitable person to say this.
If I’m learning programing and coding and i want start with front end development than back end than I’m thinking to take paython to move to ML and data do you recommended me?
Just know they are no entry roles for ML Engineer. Start from a data analyst Start from SQL BI tools Then learn statistics And python Then machine learning. Start with Andrew course on Coursera. Then start practicing on kaggle.
This video is Disingenuous at best. By reason of having a bachelors and masters degree in EE, you've already covered 75% of the background knowledge required for delving deep into ML. A lot of the people that are watching these kinds of videos have no background in the graduate level math necessary for this field. Also, most meaningful machine learning jobs would require you to have at least a masters in a math heavy course ( many would require a PhD).
Wow. I feel elated finding a straight forward and direct ML roadmap from beginner to mastery. Thanks Eniola. My third name is also Eniola, tho.
Thank you for your input and sharing your journey. Stay positive!!!
Oh gosh loved the video! You are so underrated!
You definitely gonna get big 🔥🔥🌟
Thank you so much Business Central. I really appreciate your comment!
I am also an Electronics Engineer from Colombia, and I would love to learn more about Machine Learning, I will follow all your advice, thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience AND resources! So easy to follow and it now seems less daunting.
Thank you, an amazing video by a amazing human being, this was so helpful, your information will greatly help me on my ML engeneer journey.
Nice content. What we all need to remember is that Computer Science was birthed by Electrical Engineering so they are basically one and the same.
Amazing content and so well spoken
Thank you for sharing!
Keep up the good work Eniola, you are my model!
Thanks for the hands-on reality it brings us from your life!
Eniola your a star, this is so insightful!!

It was very useful video, I'm MJ from India graduating in course Artificial intelligence and machine learning and wanna do MS in AI ML which is the perfect country and University to do it or should I continue with a job . Can u please guide to be master in AI
Thank you so much!.. How long did it take you to study the different subjects?
Your EE degree gave you an edge.
thats true it did
Wow i had earlier projected 2yrs of studying to become a machine learning engineer
Good one and very inspiring!!. Being an Electrical Engineer was definately helpful. Do you do any Data sourcing and cleansing and do u use SQL in your job?
is that possible to work remotely as ML engineer?
Could you make a video on the application process for someone without a degree to join the field? Also, how exactly u leverage the papers with code?

Glad you think so!
I hope that will help
Hi Eniola, great video thank you! One question how long did it take for you to go through those steps, and literally learn everything you mentioned? Thank you!
Very helpful video. Thanks for that. I need an information please reply, How long will it take to finish everything?
And was your aim a machine learning engineer exactly or you just went with the flow
What would the typical salary be for someone starting a ML Engineer job without CS degree or PhD?
thanks
You're welcome!
Great video, but the probability and statistics link takes me to a weird google doc. Can you please fix this link, thanks.
great
Well i am actually learning a python programming course at the moment by Charles severance python 4 everyone
Awesome vid!
Extremely useful, is it possible to provide a copy of your CV?
Thanks a lot Brandon. Ill do that in another video.
Should I pay for the certification for the machine learning coursera course? Would that be useful?
certifications are useful if you can afford one but what's most important is being able to apply the knowledge you gain.
Thanks for this beautiful info, Can you please tell that how much duration you taken for learning this skill.....And Lastly Nice video, And good Explanation, LIKED AND SUBSCRIBED KEEP IT UP👍👍👍
Thanks so much for your comment akshay. I took me around 6-8 months from learning how to code to building my first ML project.
Can i ask what you were doing while learning, was there a software engineering job or?
thank you dia
You really boosted the love I have for learning more about computer generally now pushing it hardly
What level of python do i need is it beginner , intermediate or expert level
Hi! Great video! Are you currently working as a machine learning engineer?
Nice Video, It comes in handy. I want to know if you built the website with Python?
Yes Michael I built the website using Flask, which is a Python web app framework
@@eniolaa Python seems to be Invincible.
Interesting stuff, and how long did this take?
Roughly 3 to 6 months.
How many years did it take, from python to google?
Actually you added probability and statistics course link in description which is not from Sandford. Can you give me the link in reply?
the probability and statistics course is no longer offered on the original stanford openedx site www.classcentral.com/course/stanford-openedx-probability-and-statistics-6346 but you can find the same course content in the link i added to the description
How long did it take for you to complete all of this?
By His Grace higher higher shall you go
Amen, thank you sir!
This was great, I'm currently pursuing a career in ML.
Thanks Devgenix. Excited for you also!
how do you get into a ML career ?
A Fellow Eagle !
dope but I think what u linked are too extensive.
Could one possibly become ML Engineer without prior experience as a swe, or necessary to do swe first before taking ml path? 💙
Yes one could. I had no prior experience as a swe when I started out.
This could also applies to AI Engineers right?
Yes, it does Nicholai
The insight Stanford link is broken
i've updated the link. thanks!
how long did you self-study like this?
took about ~6 months
Although the information in the video is valuable, placing "no degree or doctorate" in the title is clickbait. All companies welcome those who studied engineering with open arms, regardless of their major or specialty. It doesn't work for those who want the perspective of an autodidact.
i appreciate your comment and feedback. thank you :)
You still have a background in Maths ...🤔, But I guess that's how it has to be considering that Machine learning algorithms are advanced stats and algebra ....
true
You don’t have a CS background, but you have engineering ones, which are quite similar. so I don’t see how can this video be persuasive😅

I would recommend you start with just one field in the tech space that you find exciting, become good at that before branching to other areas.
you don't have a computer science degree but you spent more time learning the basic of machine learning skills.
Just know they are no entry roles for ML Engineer.
Start from a data analyst
Start from

Interesting video from a beautiful girl)
liar, you have a master's degree
