@ Yep, Space Marine armor could definately be penetrated as well as vehicle armor. They even had various kind of tips/charges for their hunting lances, like krak, melta, poison…
basically a shaped melta charge has some historical basis, as the japanese had anti-tank lances with a shaped charge on the front, which when pushed against a tank would explode through the armour....and kill the guy using it...
Others may have answered these already but I am going to make a bit of a list to help out. - Krieg shovels follow the WW1 / WW2 theme of German soldiers using their shovels as both tools and weapons. The edges were sharpened to a knife point and could be used like axes. - The 3rd Chaos Space Marine we see in the first video is a World Eater. One of the sons of Angron. Followers of Khorne - The tips of the Krieg spears have explosives strapped to them meant to damage heavy armor. hence why they damaged the Chaos Space Marines. - Yes, Commissars in 40K absolutely fight with their troops. While the fan film didn't actually show him doing so, the Commissar in the 2nd fan film absolutely got that sword to work against those heretics. To be a Commissar, you must lead by example. Notice the fact that the Commissar is also not a Kriegsman. A piece of lore that it's recommended to have normal humans be Commissars in Krieg regiments to keep them on leashes. Something a Krieg Commissar cannot be trusted to do. (There are Krieg Commissars tho) - We see that this is the 143rd Krieg Regiment in the 2nd video. The 143rd was the first regiment to be landed on Vraks, in what is one of the most famous battles in all of Warhammer, especially for the Krieg. An 18 year long battle that started with Krieg VS Heretics and ended with Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, daemons, Inquisitors, and all sorts of crazy stuff.
That's awesome. Thanks for the information sir as still a new fan to 40k, I am definitely appreciative of the older fans who can provide helpful context (like you did above) to my questions as well as providing new insights i had no idea about (i.e. the 18 year war on Vraks).
@@WraithMace Also a little side note, due to the limitations on the animators side the Krieg steed isn't what it is supposed to look like, or not entirely. They are very muscular, cybernetically enhanced, genetic manipulation, drug injector (for increased pain resistance, aggression, endurance etc.) and have claws instead of hooves.
In both world wars German soldiers used their spades in trench warfare / close combat, as they had relatively sharp edges, thus could be wielded like hatchets.
The Lasguns they use are right however their depiction is wrong. The Death Korps of Krieg uses without exception the Lucius Pattern No. 98 Lasgun. This variant designed at the beginning of their 500 year ww1 style civil war, eats through the powerpack way faster and has a much slower firing rate however the good thing is its probably as powerfull as a hot shot ore long las rifle. Meaning its actually one of the best lasguns to use against Space marines it also fires yellow lasers. Like I said in the first animation its depictet wrong their firing rate is way to high and the damage they do is way to little. In the second animation its way better slow one shot firing rate and a single hit blows of your head, realistic. However the colour of the lasers are wrong.
Thanks for the information sir I never would have known that fact. That's really cool, so technically a group of Kriegs men could take down a Space Marine from afar using the variant Lasgun.
@WraithMace yes atleast in theory, every lasgun can at some point penetrate ceramit however the standard kantrael pattern used by basicly all standard regiments so all cadians, most catachans etc us way weeker and would need litteral ours so you mass shoot at space marines and if your luky which you most of the time are not he dies. The Death Korps has the advantage that their lasgun is more powerfull so they need less Hits for the same target.
@WraithMace one thing many dont understand is say a standard cadian squad is equipped with the weapons to kill a space marine. Its not a question of can they kill him (except if we are talking about the death guard) its a question of can they hit him before he Hits them.
@DeathKorpmen999 Hehe, Pattern No. 98…Like the Karabiner 98. Just coincidentally… And the “Geballte Ladung” (bundled charge). A stick grenade with multiple charges used in WW1 against tanks.
Death Korps of Krieg cavalry have explosive charges attached to their lances, able to damage heavy armor.
Ahh ok @sametimetoys mentioned that in the live viewing as I was really confused, why the lances were punching thru ceramite armor.
@ Yep, Space Marine armor could definately be penetrated as well as vehicle armor. They even had various kind of tips/charges for their hunting lances, like krak, melta, poison…
Ok now it makes sense
@ oh, I forgot…one-time use only. 😄

Ahhhh ok that makes waaaaaaaay more sense they just using a standard earth horse.

Oh, I remember the trench wars of ww1 it was funny seeing it in the 41st century lol
Great reaction video
Lol thanks dude there is so many fan films i haven't seen. The calvary charge and the shovel combat was superb! Lol
@ yeah man. It’s crazy to see horses in 40K 🤣😂
Excatly lol
