You can but it would be not enough to shutdown service unless the service is quite small business and you may violate your IDP contract and be banned possibly.
Easy way, run service on public cloud provider. Hard way, use some DDoS defender and set proper network policy through your entire infrastructure. Public Cloud Provider is not going to protect all attack patterns but you are under with their support. However, Layer 7 attack is still your homework.
@@djkok0 it is especially on the free version it isn't as good as advertised. Very easy for people with knowledge to take down targets with Cloudflare free. The enterprise version that costs thousands offer better, but even sites with Enterprise gets bypassed pretty easily. It's sad but it's a ever ending cat and mouse game. Cloudflare has 280 Tbps capacity but remember million of sites are using it, also capacity doesn't matter much. Attackers use other weak points to overload sites. So size don't matter much. But cloudflare has other good security features aswell plus being a cdn it speeds up the site. But if you are a target then you will be taken down eventually no matter your protection.
@@SilentGamingShow no it isn't, considering it controls one of the biggest majorities of ALL internet traffic, and how little times its been breached. Its really strong. It uses like every anti ddos protection services and all codes are completely randomized with no way of calculating the randomization, it is really really strong bruh
This is so far the best demo on how DoS attack works.
What command utility were you using at the bottom of your utility to show traffic (not the ping utility at top)?
use bmon
can I use this on my home network?

Who's here after the attack on X's Trump interview?
It wasnt a ddos attack it was just the 1 milion live listeners never been done before and X wasnt ready for all that traffic
How are you able to run a mitigation to reduce the attack?
