Every time I listen to Ido Portal, I realise that he is just trying to tap into human consciousness through " movement ", The first step in this realisation is to actually discover your own body and its potential, we so removed from our own bodies, it's just amazing how we as human beings are influenced by society that we don't even take time to explore our own body and I reckon this is the gateway to understanding consciousness!!, more lessons from this guy than other famed spiritual leaders!!! ❤🎉
This guy has deep understanding of what reality actually is. Not many people know or can grasp this. His mentality an teachings could put harmony on earth again.
Today I turn 41 years old and I want to thank you, Lewis, for without knowing me giving me such a great present. For the last couple of days I've been reflecting about my own existence and while exercising this morning I receive the notification about this video and played it. Ido was talking about his experience and help me at a very deep level. Thank you, Lewis for bringing Ido's wisdom into our lives. You guys have a wonderful week.
As someone who teaches Movement (here on TH-cam), and has learned from Ido, I have to say his approach is so well thought out! By far the movement teacher I identify with the most.
Lewis, thank you for having Ido on your podcast. I started squatting today. Ido is a very spiritual person. He may not say he is, but to me he has great wisdom. Thanks again!
52:30 "EVERYTHING IS NATURAL!" I've been saying this for a while now... man.... A friend put me onto Ido and this is my first watch...Everything the man says seems so on point. I love his honesty about his own fear, and his take on winning and the idea of "working out". So many great quotes 29:07 " You're moving to death. You're going to lose, you're going to lose everything, even yourself, so how can winning be an orientation to unpack ourselves?"
Wow how courageous of Ido to take a showdown with the Cartesian way of life or how one may call it. To say that it was a mistake to live from the head-up was such a blow to pure intellectualism. People are not machines. Our heart and feelings as well are at least as important.
Ido's an amazing being. Not easy to interview him, well done Lewis! Thank you for making it longer. I enjoyed (and learned from) every single minute of it! 🙏 love your generosity! Thanks !!
The story you're telling yourself is how you filter everything that your senses catch 24/7. To change the filter isn't something you become able to do over night. It takes hard and consistent work. But once you get to see results you feel that beautiful sensation of freedom. Mental freedom.
Lewis is asking very good questions! What a great host! I resonate with Ido Portal's way of life! I feel very blessed to experience this legendary interview!
The biggest take away was when Ido Portal speaks about his mother. The most powerful section. Thank you so much for the wisdom & this interview is one of the best by far of Ido Portal. Thank you Lewis Howes 🙏🙏🙏
It is what is is. It doesn’t really matter. Disregard everything written on this paper. That was dope. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m gonna go squat and hang for an hour
Ido keeps it insanely 💯 and that's what makes him so compelling and effective. So many nuggets and "MHM" moments here. I love where he mentioned that he offers no programs for people to follow, it's a perspective they adapt - or not.
Unloading some hard core Taoism on Mr. Howes! I appreciate Portal's desire to challenge an idea of being, even if it comes off a little heavy in the Ego. Of course that's part of the pursuit, that almost aggressively conscious recognition of perceptual difference between states of being, but I digress. Good interview
The sense of self is a self referential entity with no other reference. In this way it perpetuates itself and for this reason prone to delusions. Beautiful....
I learned about Ido a few years ago thinking that he was newly emerging. And then I told my body about it who is also into movement and he's known about him for nearly a decade haha. I was surprised that Ido has been teaching his movement culture for that long. Glad you are finding out about him!
tiffany bittman if you.like movement ,check.out Moshe Feldenkrais, who first taught his Awareness through movement.in the 1950s its much more accessible, and no bullshit
Damn... I relate to Idol Portal so much, in this interview. When he went on about his fears. No wonder everything this guy preaches clicks with me so much.
Very inspiring. Thanks Ido. Perhaps mastery is that realisation that there is no mastery as it pulls you out of that struggle of trying to get "there".
By far the best interview I've seen with Ido. Lewis, thank you for this gem, for asking great questions and digging deep into Ido's practice! And Ido, thank you for keeping us moving, thinking and pushing us to be the best we can in whatever we do
Everything seems to be so clear in his mind. But its just his perception, a really interesting one by the way, but just a perception. Thanks Lewis for taking a deep dive with him
Lewis Howes through your podcasts, you educate so many people. Everytime I watch a podcast of yours, my mind is opened further. Your content is brilliant.
My favourite line from this video is "To shit your pants, and yet still go out there and face your fears!" lo.... Love it! Thanks for this Lewis... You're a great listener and interviewer. What would it take to be interviewed by you..... Universal question?
Engaging and surprising theoretical and good practical advise, also the books, I have learn a lot from this deep conversation and very appreciate Ido for his modesty. ראיון מרתק ומהמם והתשובות של עידו מפתיעות ויפות,פניני חוכמה, נהנתי להאזין בשקיקה לכל התאוריות,והפרקטיקות.לואיס תודה שארחת את עדו ^_^
I rly love this guy opened me up alot to alot of new perspectives. I like his perspectives n way of looking at things at life rly refreshing n eye opening. Thank u for sharing him n inviting him to ur talk. Brilliant guys thank u
Best Ido Portal interview I have come across so far. Great questions also! Lewis, what was the full name , of the 3rd book Ido recommended on Play /Movement ?
Lewis, you're awesome! I think you are a gifted interviewer, and I learn a lot from your gentle, but piercing style. I listen to you while cooking for Sabbath, in Jerusalem. When are you coming to Israel??
hey Lewis, or Mr. Howes, i just came upon your page -here , very new to it, just like to say your approach, your honesty , your ways are alright, cool, nice program, i watched ido, and whim hoff, and really love the way you interact, your one cool dude. keep it going bro!
Mindfullness is not a mind full of thoughts, Eckart Tolle has mentioned that mindfullness is more about space between thoughts , though the word is misinterpreted
Wow didn't see this one coming Lewis, been a fan of his and yours for quite some time. Truly inspirational ! I've been blown away by the back to basics philosophy of Ido and his understanding and view on "mediocrity" and how being the best is not always the best case scenario for some people. Keep them coming, you're doing an awesome and necessary job, both of you :)
What a grounded fellow humanitarian, with core drive to improve peoples embodied movement awareness. Definitely going to comment to the 30 minutes of squats per day, for 30 days. And continue as part of a daily practice. "Grounded advice" Thank you, Lewis, and Ido. Lewis would like to make a recommendation for another guest. A parallel between Ido and performance artist Marina Abramovic. Marina's art practice tests the limits of the human body and the possibilities of the mind. She invented the Marina Abramovic Institute, to give people back their time. About being present in the here and now.
I’m a chiropractor and putting Ido’s principles/ ideas of movement make a gigantic difference in peoples body’s in regards to longevity and over all health I would still utilise a chiropractor to be optimal in spinal health from restricted joints and keeping the nervous system happy. It will enhance your practise greatly. I would love to give care to Ido one day and pick his brain.
Lewis Howes >>> How ironic that your studio is made in a way that vibrates peace and well-being and then you have a book with the title " When violence is the answer " in the middle of it all.
I loved your questions Lewis. I didn't catch the names of the three books Ido recommends. Could you, or anyone else, please reply with the names. Thank you!
🤧I'm leaking.... I love to see such powerful and beautiful men break stereotypes... show such vulnerability with eachother to become the teachers and students of life~♡~ I'm proud of both of them
Me encantaría poder escuchar esta entrevista en español, o leer con subtitulos en español. Desconozco si hay algún otro link en el cual se encuentre disponible, saludos
Been having trouble with my knee, suddenly giving out and leaving me on the ground. Was just about ready to declare myself in need of a walker. Tried the suggestion of squatting 30 seconds every 30 minutes, and I feel my mobility steadied. No fun being an old goat that can't stand up.
I think ppl need to explore what is the easy sqat position eg toe position and feet width and how much u lean foward etc for their body mass/strength distribution and limb length, and joint flexibility etc to have an efficient squat ...and vary from there
Every time I listen to Ido Portal, I realise that he is just trying to tap into human consciousness through " movement ", The first step in this realisation is to actually discover your own body and its potential, we so removed from our own bodies, it's just amazing how we as human beings are influenced by society that we don't even take time to explore our own body and I reckon this is the gateway to understanding consciousness!!, more lessons from this guy than other famed spiritual leaders!!! ❤🎉
Ido reminds me of Bruce Lee. One of a kind. Deep respect to the man and his quest. Inspiring!
Cheers Lewis, love the show! Hi from Italy!
An excellent comparison, this man is a passionate genius
yes, I agree, that's right, good on you for 😉👍
This guy has deep understanding of what reality actually is. Not many people know or can grasp this. His mentality an teachings could put harmony on earth again.

100%
This is probably the best Ido interview I've seen. Amazing content. His thoughts on fear...eye opening.
43:15: Of Squating
51:39: Of Handstand
56:24: This! I´m interested on that too.
Thank you, these were some of my favourite bits too; and near the end was great.
As someone who teaches Movement (here on TH-cam), and has learned from Ido, I have to say his approach is so well thought out!
By far the movement teacher I identify with the most.
Could you imagine Wim Hof and Ido Portal in the same room
That would be great as long as Lewis Howes wasn't also in the room. He's so out of touch.
breath+movement lewis your awesome
I wanna be there
It's will be epic of all
A transcendental buddy film? I’m there opening night
Lewis, thank you for having Ido on your podcast. I started squatting today. Ido is a very spiritual person. He may not say he is, but to me he has great wisdom.
Thanks again!

Not easy to listen to either lol every answer he just says “wrong question”
This guy is so humble, his philosophy reach guru's level
@@gmy33 ok
I'm so glad you brought Ido Portal on here, his teachings benefits everyone
The story you're telling yourself is how you filter everything that your senses catch 24/7. To change the filter isn't something you become able to do over night. It takes hard and consistent work. But once you get to see results you feel that beautiful sensation of freedom. Mental freedom.
I love Ido’s perspective. He’s so thoughtful and honest.
Lewis is asking very good questions!
What a great host!
I resonate with Ido Portal's way of life!

You're welcome🧡
The importance of being able to squat is huge indeed and also thorasic rotation is key
Hey Ido,
I just wanted to say I love you and you keep being you.
-Jesse McWhirk
It is what is is.
It doesn’t really matter.
Disregard everything written on this paper.
That was dope. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m gonna go squat and hang for an hour
people have been doing squats for ages now .. ask chiropracters what is wrong with doing too many squats ..
@@gmy33 What's wrong with doing lots of squats?
@@uelude squats are great for getting bulky legs.. not good for knees .. take it easy and do more flowing exercise to make your legs bullitproof . .
Funny, I used to have a lot of hip, knee and lower back pain until I started doing body weight squats. Not anymore.
Ido keeps it insanely 💯 and that's what makes him so compelling and effective. So many nuggets and "MHM" moments here.
I love where he mentioned that he offers no programs for people to follow, it's a perspective they adapt - or not.
I am plastered to my latop watching this episode over and over.... thank you lewis, thank you Ido!
Ido Portal came with great paradigm shift in relation to the physical exercise !
Damnit.. i'm crawling down the Ido rabbit hole with all these vids and he drops such powerful nuggets of wisdom all over the show. Fcking hell...
One of my favorite interviews you have had so far, Lewis. (Y)

Ido portal. Wow amazing. Never heard of him. I am intrigued with movement.

Very inspiring. Thanks Ido. Perhaps mastery is that realisation that there is no mastery as it pulls you out of that struggle of trying to get "there".
Perfectly true what he says. Try to move all day and every day - you need exercise both for your body and brain to strengthen your mind
Thank you Ido Portal!
By far the best interview I've seen with Ido.
Lewis, thank you for this gem, for asking great questions and digging deep into Ido's practice!

Homo Ludens: A Study of the Play-Element in Culture
Love Ido's philosophy. Would love to study with him
I thinks is a great guy , maybe he didn't invent anything but what he says makes sense to me and it works.
This was way greater than I even thought it would be
🧡
The mobility GOAT
Such a great interview! Thank you Lewis for having Ido as a guest :)

This man Ido Portal ( have truths ) to what his sayings 😇
I love how they are talking about mastery when you can see the book Mastery (by Robert Greene?) just chilling in the background
Hi idol Lewis and Ido ( both ) this man on sport !!!!!!! Must know all about what function of the heart and mind ..
Mentally , emotionally are very connected to this excercises Yoga , and marshal arts .we have best gets better to this ( meditation ) .😃

Inspiring talk, thank you both! I am going to put more 'organic' movement back into my routine...
soo grateful,Lewis
Around 1:30:00 Ido mentions a revolutionary platform about the be launched. Anybody know what this is or where to find it?
I’m a chiropractor and putting Ido’s principles/ ideas of movement make a gigantic difference in peoples body’s in regards to longevity and over all health

truly inspiring. an other thing is his dark sad look when speaking about some topics. something deeply human in a way maybe.
Pure gold.

Lewis Howes >>> How ironic that your studio is made in a way that vibrates peace and well-being and then you have a book with the title " When violence is the answer " in the middle of it all.
Very intelligent guy, great talk
I like the way Ido Portal rephrased Lewis' questions. :) amused by it also. :) Ido portal so enlightened!
wandering berries Enlightened... hmm ok lol
amazing. Lewis had hard time asking the 'right' questions :p but it turned out amazing!
50:40 This chiropractor teaches patients about the effects and benefits of gravity on the spine, joints, and muscles.
Yogasanas would be the fundamental of "movement culture", as they affect also our consciousness.
I notice Tim Larkin's book on the shelf.

Big Respect .thanks!

Great video. Also great channel

love your channel!!
the way you do the interviews is just perfect.
keep up the good work
RED SOCK I would agree with you. Lewis seems to really care.
Two favourite people meet
Who is the person he makes reference to about the invisible loop 1:04:30? awesome, interview
I know how to breathe again.... what I want is how to make him have a good breathe in his life in this country....one day
Yuuuussss.Movement is god 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
