My man never gets out of the cot and still catches fish. This one time when I was in the Army I was sleeping peacefully in my cot when a canister of CS gas was thrown into my tent, I would have taken the 0730 wake up call by the walleye instead..

They didn't have pop up ice fishing shacks when I was growing up so you made your own that you pulled out on the ice with a snowmobile or by hand like we did.
Ours was a full sized canvas tent and my dad made a bottom that folded in half and was made of plywood. It took two people pulling to get it out there. No snowmobile and no four wheeler even though everyone had three wheelers.
Looks like you need a wider auger if your gonna catch big honking walleye like that.
I think you need to make a video making mats for your tip ups to keep the holes from freezing.
I love those ugly stick rods. I mean the first thing I did was strip all the line off of it and put 30lbs tip up line on and I use those for my Sullivan tip down rods.

One time my friends and I went ice fishing and we used a down jigger and I caught 30 perch in 1/2 hour caught 100 perch that day

hey minndak, with those sandwhiches what I do is take a mix of honey, mustard, butter and popy seed ans spread that on the top and bake it for just long enough to melt the cheese and when they are warm take them out. And I love the content keep it up

So in addition to the typical snacks, I like to cook out on the ice so I bring a portable BBQ with me. I use non stick aluminum foil for cook wear, paper plates, and plastic cutlery.
Usually, I grill a steak or pork chops with some sauteed shrimp, sauteed mushrooms, and roasted peppers or corn. Sometimes I'll even bring a premade salad. Eating like a hobo is a young man's game lol.
Even though I usually fish alone, I bring enough for 3 more people because I often make friends on the ice once I start cooking.

VENISON EGGROLLS! Used to make them at deer camp, wrap some ground venison, peppers, onions and whatever else you might want, fold it into a wonton wrapper, glue it shut with some eggwash and then deep fry that jon. They heat up perfectly on a buddy heater.
You should tell me what gear u use because last time we had an overnighter was last weekend and our tent at night turned into a pond and i think its because we had some holes outside near the tent and it snowed so i think the snow pushed the water up, but yeah what gear do you use?

Could you do a vlog or deliver some insight on how you decide WHERE on a lake to set up? I'm new to ice fishing, and I'm having a very hard time finding any walleye.
Throw something into a water body, like a like or a ocean filters it through and it just cleans it up like a garbage compactor or whatever, so it's not really littering if you ask me.

I bring a grill and some venison.. Couple of backstrap steaks or some ground venison burgers is my go to camping food. Hate mayo and those Hawaiian rolls so no thanks to a sammie, plus making em so early that bun will be all mushy..yuck..

Guys, guys, no that lake is nowhere near as good as milacs. If you spent nearly as much time at milacs you would catch more hogs and keeper size as well. There is also many other options that are just as good within 2 hrs into MN.
